Office Depot review: Service employees

On Tuesday June 6th, I went into Office Depot at about 4:13 PM to buy a clipboard.

As I walked into the store there were two black female service employees behind the check-out counter talking to each other, one standing and one sitting in a chair. There were no other customers in the store at the time.

I found the clipboard with the help of a young man stocking the shelves. I spend about 7 minutes looking at and selecting a clipboard.

I then went up to the check out counter to pay for my clipboard. The employee siting in the chair was ranting about being mistreated to the woman standing by the cash register. They both kept talking to each other while I was paying for my clipboard in loud voices.

They were very rude and disrespectful to continue talking to each other about personal problems while I was trying to pay for and complete my transaction. I just kept my mouth shut until the woman who was checking me out asked me what was the wrong.

I told her I though it was rude and disrespectful to continue talking while I was checking out and basically ignoring me. The woman in the chair said it was none of my business what she was talking about. I said that is right and she should have shut up when a customer is at the counter for service.

The woman in the chair then kept making disparaging remarks to me. I kept my mouth shut until to have the final word she said snidely to my back, "You have a blessed day". I lost my cool and told her to "go to hell" and left the store.

Neither I nor anyone else will shop at this store again.
