Office Depot Bad quality on the Shaquille O'Neal Executive chair combined with worst Protection Plan.

Bought the chair for $569.99 and the warranty for 69.99 total cost with tax $681.58. Made a claim to Allstate twice. 1st was denied because as they said I didn't bought enough warranty (The one I got covered from $300 to $799.99. The chair price was $569.99), they asked me to resubmit when I brought prove that the warranty I bought was more than enough. Then was denied because "loss of resiliency" is not covered and sent me to read the contract.
Will never get another one of the Shaquille O'Neal's chairs nor the worthless extended warranty.

Recommendation: Don't get the chair nor the extended warranty

Office Depot Great Customer Service

This morning I visited the Office Depot located on 6211 N Kings Hwy, Alexandria, VA and as soon as I walked into the store, I was warmly greeted by Mr. Derek T. He was very pleasant and made me feel welcome at the store. There was another employee - Amy - who helped me with an online order for boxes which my husband never picked up. Amy took her time to find the online order in her system to make sure they were indeed cancel so that I can eventually get reimbursed. Both Derek and Amy were very helpful. Thank you for your service.

Office Depot My review of them!

Their product line is good solid stuff and they have very helpful clerks there to help you! I have purchased from them numerous times. The chair I am sitting in right now (desk chair) came from them. They were very helpful and I am handicapped so that means a lot to me! I have to use a walker these days and cannot do so much but I was in need of a new chair as my old one (from them) wore out finally after years of use. 10 years old chair! Not bad as far as desk chairs go! What prompted me to get it from them in the first place is that I had bought one from somewhere else and it lasted only 3 years. I decided I wanted one that had better quality to it and it was too by golly! I would say I got my money's worth for sure!

Office Depot Calendar Help

Aaron at Office Depot in D'Iberville, MS went above the call of duty. I brought in 15 calendars to be bound and I remembered after I left the store that I also wanted a hole punched in the center of each page to be able to hang the calendar. Aaron had to hand punch each of the pages for the 15 calendars and he did this after he had already bound the calendars. He took apart each one, hand-punched the pages, and then reassembled them. No complain from him at all. I so appreciate the work he did. Thank you, Aaron!
Next, we have to convince Office Depot that one of the pieces of equipment needed is a hole punch that could punch through all 12 pages of a calendar at once. Very surprised that Office Depot does not supply their print department with such a simple piece and inexpensive piece of equipment.

Office Depot Great customer service!

I've been looking for a new Epson printer that prints labels directly to a CD or DVD - they're hard to find! I found one at Office Depot - and it was on sale! Which made it even better.

My old Epson printer was still working, but I've had it for over five years, and it was beginning to hum and make rattling noises, so I decided to replace it before it stopped working.

I went to the Office Depot in Sherman, Texas. They had the printer I needed in stock. Before I found the printer on sale, I had bought a set of ink cartridges for my old printer.

The employee brought the printer to the counter for me - along with the ink I needed for the old printer, gave me a refund for the ink for the old printer.

He was professional, courteous, and helpful.

Office Depot does a good job of training their employees in customer service. Thanks.

Office Depot Customer Loyalty!

Needed to replace my HP inkjet printer (4 years of hard use... it stopped spraying cyan ink). Rather than going online, I went to my nearby OD/OM store to examine closely what they had. Found one for less $$ than I spent on the previous printer 4 years earlier, that did everything I needed. The sales/service techs were outstandingly reassuring, explaining how to hook everything up, corrected my replacement ink purchase with the correct ones (my bad), and even gave me their cards if I had any trouble hooking it up! Outstanding service and a selection that totally met my needs! Hooking it to my computer was easy-peasy, too, even for this senior citizen! Didn't need to call them except to let them know it worked! When I moved the old one away, I found the old receipt taped to it - same store, four years earlier to the month! Customer loyalty - that's me... HP printers at OD/OM!

Office Depot Poor customer service in store VS 5 STAR CUSTOMER SERVICE ON PHONE

I Went into the Colorado Blvd store in Denver Colorado and a man assisted me in a return And basically lied straight to my face and said he couldn't return an item because I didn't have receipts. I asked him to point out the return policy. He said it was in the fine print and I asked him Again to show me and he refused service and made me leave store. I was so embarrassed. This store advisor was the most rude, unprofessional, sarcastic worker I have ever encountered in all history. THEN CALLED OFFICE DEPOT CUSTOMER SERVICE on PHONE AND REPRESENTATIVE, SAMMY ASSISTED ME. I VOICED MY ISSUE AND HE CALLED THE STORE IMMEDIATELY AND TALKED WITH STORE. HE SAID THAT I COULD GO BACK IN STORE AND RETURN MY ITEM AND THAT THERE WOULDN'T BE ANYMORE PROBLEMS. SAMMY IS THE GOLDEN VOICE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR OFFICE DEPOT. HE WAS THOROUGH AND FAST & KIND VOICE IN HANDLING THE MATTER & MOST IMPORTANTLY VERY PROFESSIONAL. I COULDN'T ASK FIR ANYONE BETTER HANDLING THE ISSUE. Office Depot Print Desk Employee Went Above and Beyond

Under a time crunch and emotional duress, I was forced to create and order funeral programs for my father's funeral, the night before his service. The website stated 'ready by 7pm the next day' but I needed them by noon. I also needed them folded and another product of memory cards trimmed to same size (there were 2 per sheet). I had to just trust it would be done well, as there would be no time to re-do. The next morning I called the store at 10 am and print desk said she had them printed and ready to go. Upon pick up, it was clear she had taken time to do everything I needed (even though I had not specified as much in the online order notes). She had folded the programs and not just trimmed the cards, but trimmed them to all be the same size so they looked nice in a stack. It might have been normal operating procedure for them, I don't know, but her act of having them done first thing and making sure they were printed correctly, folded as needed, and trimmed to size, was the last thing I experienced before preparing and attending my father's funeral service. This REALLY did make a big difference and I will be letting her bosses at the store know.

Office Depot Excellent!

Was looking for a certain air purifier and to be honest I never thought to look on office depot. 3 major stores I went to said they had the air purifier but it was out of stock? Ummm ok... that means you don't have it. I decided to google for it and low and behold it said Office Depot had it. For starters I never shop at Office Depot. We don't even have one where I live. To be honest I never thought a place like Office Depot would have it, but they did! So I ordered it on a Sunday. I decided to pick the cheapest shipping. I didn't care if it took 5 to 7 days to get it, I just cared that I would get it. Ok so they shipped it out and I got it MONDAY! I never seen such fast shipping before in my life. I can only assume because the nearest warehouse is 4 hours away from me. They impressed me by shipping it out right away. The package arrived unscratched and no flaws with the product either. I quickly did the warranty on my new air purifier and been using it since they delivered it last week. I don't know about how good their customer service is or if they have good office products... what I do know is they really impressed me with their fast shipping. Thanks Office Depot!

Office Depot Superb Print Shop Customer Service

I have had the opportunity to visit the Print Shop at Office Depot in Stockton. During my visit, I had some non-profit material to print (actually graciously contributed by Office Depot). The two young wonderful staff members, Jiana Espinosa, and Maikaylea Tinsley, didn't miss a beat on providing the best service. Despite of the fact this material was contribution or not, the two treated me, and this job with the highest level of respect and accuracy, to assure it was at the highest level of quality. Wow! This don't happen ever! These two bent over backwards when one machine broke down during the process, and did what it took to get the job done; yielding to the highest level of satisfaction. Despite the line build-up because of tech issues with the machines, the two maintained, calmness, sincerity and professionalism, and pushed through all obstacles to get the job done. I was truly impressed on how professionally they conveyed to the anxious and frustrated customers in line, to calm them down, while they resorted to plan B to get the orders out while one machine crippled. These two young staff members, Jiana and Maikaylea (asst. Manager) demonstrated the best professional teamwork I have ever seen; definitely worth praising. In today's workforce, it it rare to see this kind of work ethics and teamwork, especially among the younger generation of workers. These two, by far, top the charts, as wonderful role models. Kudos to Office Depot - Stockton for have these two wonderful people on your staff. Way to go, Jiana and Maikaylea!

Office Depot My service regarding my flash drive

I went to the Office Max on the Strip in Canton Ohio. one of the self-serve copiers wasn't working. A Lady came to help me, and she was leaving for the day but still helped. I was in a hurry, so she still had my flash drive. I called the next day, and the gentleman said he had it and it was in the lost and found. I asked him to put my name on an envelope, but he said it would be there whenever I came to get it. I came back about 5 days later and they couldn't find it. I gave them my cel number and I never heard from anyone. today I spoke to a manager who said they throw them away after 15 days, I told her I came back 5 days later, and they couldn't find it then. I had very important information on it. She said Oh there's nothing she could do about it so I hung up the phone. she could have at least offered me another flash drive so I could try and find all the information that they now threw away after only 5 days of it being there, but nothing. Will I here from any of you, or will you just ignore me like the manager did?

Office Depot Copy department

Today (11-21-2024), at around 11:45 am I went to Office Depot to make 20 copies of a form. There was one guy at the copy desk. He asked me to use the self serve machine. I never used this machine before but I asked him and he gave one word answers to my inquiry. I was able to get one copy and when I asked for help he just ignored me. I left. I will never go back to this store for anything even if I have to drive 30 minutes to another company. This is not the first time. They have poor customer service. I was the only one at the copy department.

Because this is not the first time you have problems, it may be time to get in touch with their customer service department directly. If you provide evidence complaining about this staff member's ineptitude of assistive service and that he answered with a word or two the response they might want to change and update the training or the service at the place. If you do not like the idea of going back to the same store, try contacting other local Office Depot branches or other companies which could done your photocopying.

The assistant manager Aleisha at this store treated me horribly tonight as I attempted to purchase goods.

First, no one was staffing this store's point-of-sale terminals while I waited 10 minutes to make my purchase. Aleisha eventually came up front to the terminals and started processing customer purchases slowly.

I'm elderly, am not very mobile, and I was suffering from a very painful back ache while standing there waiting for almost 15 minutes. Aleisha purposely made me wait longer, asked me as many questions about my purchase as she possibly could, then she threatened me, and then she tried to refuse to sell me items because she said I was being impolite to her when I firmly requested to be checked out promptly. But I persisted and eventually bought my items.

This employee is not only a bad example of customer service, but she's also a terrible manager. To start with, it's inadvisable for her to leave the point-of-sale terminals unstaffed while customers are lining up for 10 to 15 minutes. Then Aleisha purposely worked very slowly and threatened me (an elderly paying customer) because SHE DIDN'T LIKE THE WAY I ACTED. Aleisha needs to be admonished for this type of service, she needs to be trained to respect customers, and she needs to manage the point-of-sale terminals much better.

Desired outcome: Better customer service at the point-of-sale terminals. Better management by the store's assistant manager.

Office Depot General Manager at Jackson MI store office max 2/29/2024 around 3p And missing/wrong parts for my desk

I called up there about 15 minutes before i came up to the store and was told to come up to the store with the drawers to see about getting the 2 parts for my desk drawers that I had bought a few weeks ago. It was 2 bottoms to 2 drawers that was 8.5cm to long and 6.5cm to short on the other drawer. The female I had talked to on the phone said bring up the drawers so I did. In the process of bringing up the drawers, 2 plastic parts that held together the sides of 1 drawer fell off and the sides caved in on 1 of 2 drawers.

When I arrived to the store, I had laid the 2 drawers on the counter in front of the general manager who didn't look happy that I had brought in the drawers. Then he asked what the deal was and I told him calmly that the 2 inserts for the 2 drawer bottoms didn't fit but everything else did. We had set up the desk completely after the semi dropped it off to my apartment. We carried it up the stairs and set it up a couple days later. I wanted to see about getting the 2 parts for the desk and he told me that I couldn't get any parts and that I would have to buy another desk and return the one I had just got set up. I asked him if I could get the 2 inserts off the display model and he said no. I started to cry and I asked him what if the next desk that took hours to set up was missing parts and the next desk and the next desk and the next desk is missing parts. Then what? He said that I would have to buy another one like an A-hole. That's when I asked him if he would wave the fee of having it set up for me and he said NO, So I asked him if there was someone higher than him that I could talk to and he also said NO. He gave me the customer service number so I could start a return/ exchange. I asked him if there was anything that the customer service people could do and he told me NO again. So I took my drawers and left the store in tears because that general manager refused to help me at all cost besides handing me over to another nightmare of having it delivered off semi at my apartment and disassembling the desk I just had set up and bringing it back down the stairs to meet semi driver again to pick up the old desk and deliver another one. I wasn't disrespectful or belligerent. He made me feel that I was screwed either way. He made me feel like the 2 wrong parts besides the plastic pieces that broke in the process of getting the partial drawers there was my fault in a way.

That store manager around 3pm on 2/29/2024 at Jackson MI Office Max is the one I am complaining about. If he didn't like the fact that I had taken the time to bring in 2 drawers that didn't fit on an expensive desk 71" Magellan L-Shaped desk and refused to help me and also ensured me that customer service would NOT help me either, and was an a-hole and had a really crappy attitude about helping me then why is he any kind of a manager especially a general manager for Office Max? The least that general manager could've done was been more sensitive, understanding or even with some kind of compassion been remorseful about my issue that I had with buying a desk through that store that had wrong parts instead of shoving me away with a 1-800 number and with a guarantee that nobody could or would help me otherwise and that I would be returning and buying the desk all over again because that's all that would happen if I choose to go with that option. He could've waived or paid for the set up fee. I have pictures of my desk fully set up with the 2 missing drawers that didn't fit. I wasn't lying about any of it. He didn't have to be so numb and cold about the whole issue.

Aside from him I think it's crappy that you guys don't have other ways of getting parts for big expensive things that is very time consuming with setting up. And the only other ways that it can work is taking apart the entire desk and sending it back on the semi that it came on and waiting for another one. And possibly another one and so on. Because if the next box doesn't have another simple part for it then the process repeats itself. I live in an apartment place and live at the top of the stairs and those boxes are heavy not to mention time consuming set up. That desk costs 5 hundred in some dollars regular price and that's way too much to spend on something if the box isn't right the first time.

I did call Customer Service and the guy on the phone helped me. I told him about the guy at the Jackson Store and the customer service guy did help me and honored me a partial refund of $75. I was grateful for that. But I will have to come up with a different way to rig the drawers together to make it work or fit in somehow. Otherwise I would have to risk getting another bad box and go through another process all over again and possibly again. I don't have that kind of time to spend on that. So we will just have to rig the drawers somehow.

Office Depot HP laptop

We bought our mom a HP laptop for Christmas on-line. It came the end of December any it won't WORK. Shehad Sparklight go to her house get it set up. So the problem is it DID NOT SAY you has 14 day's to return it . We looked at one at costco it was alittle bit more now I wish we would have bought that one. I WILL NOT STEP IN OR BUY ANYTHING FROM YOU GUY'S AGAIN. I will also tell everyone I know NOT to do buy ANYTHING from you

It appears that nobody is understanding the problem, here.

I ordered paper & paid for paper. It was left on the back porch in the rain & blocked my door & I could not get out of my door. I was trapped in the house.

I called Office Depot and was told to discard that box and a new order would be sent (reshipment).

My account was debited and it should not have been for the reshipment when the first order was damaged.

I never received the reshipment & was charged for reshipment.

I have paid over $100 at this point to Office Depot.

I am out of money & I do Not have any paper.

No deliveries go to the front door.

All deliveries are left at the back door on the red deck.

Office Depot Rewards program and customer service

For the past year I've been complaining about not receiving my ink cartridge credits. This past week I went into the store near me and returned 10 cartridges. I was told I had to wait 24 hours in order to apply the credits. I came back to the store an additional 3 times and was told I had no credits. This has been happening for over a year. When I called customer service the rep was very nice and told me she would apply a $20.00 credit to my account. I didn't want to argue that this has happened several times and my credits never show. Today I found out that after you turn in your empty ink cartridges, you then have to make a purchase for at least $10.00. I was also told I would not be able to use my $20.00 credit for between 5-7 business day. I'm not sure what's going on but in the past year or so no matter if I go to the store in person or call as I did today, your customer service people want to argue with the customer rather than solve the problem. I've had this business account for many years and no one wants to be treated the way your customer service people treat your customers. They are rude. They speak over you. They argue that whatever the problem is, it's something you have done to cause it. I shouldn't have to fight this hard for a lousy $20.00 rebate and I never will again! The coupons you send out can't be used, the rewards don't get credited and you have some of the worst customer service agents I have ever dealt with, and I know of what I speak because as the owner of an insurance agency, my business is entirely customer service. If I treated my customers the way I have been treated by your company, I would have no customers left. In addition, a few months ago when I had to go into the store in my town to look for a computer, I began talking to a male sales person and right in the middle of my sentence, another older man came up to us and began speaking to the sales person and they both turned their backs to me as if I wasn't even there. I was so humiliated that I attempted to complain and the sales person came running up shouting that he wasn't ignoring me even though he had completely turned his back to me and began to help the other older man. It turned out the man he decided to help, wasn't even buying anything he was asking for help measuring something. I purchased my computer at one of your competitor's. Now I will be making all of my purchases elsewhere. I am not going to continue to be treated like this. If giving a 12 or 13 year business customer a $20.00 rebate on their empty ink cartridges is really this big of a deal and worth losing business over, congratulations, you've accomplished just that. Don't send me any more of your worthless coupons that can't be used towards anything useful, 6 days of stress for $20.00 just isn't worth it.

Claimed loss: 3 months of ink cartridge rewards.

Desired outcome: That I be treated like a human being when I call in once every 10 years to rectify a problem.

Office Depot I was charged for a purchase but never given a confirmation email.

When I tried calling, texting and using their web customer support, no one answered. This is absolutely unacceptable. I ordered a hardcover book on December 27th and a wire bound book in two separate transactions minutes apart. The wire bound book came with tracking info and a confirmation email, and arrived quickly. I never got that information for the hardbound book even though the charge showed up on my debit card, and I tried numerous times to reach customer service. This is not okay and I am very upset with Office Max’s poor customer service.

Office Depot Office chair

On Black Friday I purchased an office chair from store #21. located at 13601 Plantation Rd. Fort Myers Florida. 2 days later I realized that my credit card had been charged twice. So I went to the store to cancel one of the charges. I spoke with Andrea, who immediately answered me with attitude and said she needed the bank statement. I opened my bank account and indeed the charge appeared twice. Andrea, who spoke angrily and interrupted me constantly, told me to wait. Then she left to sell to someone else. I waited and waited and as she was ignoring me, I approached her and she shouted at me: What! So I told her I was waiting a long time and needed help. Andrea yelling at me said: this is my store, I am the boss and you are just a customer, if you don't want to wait get out of my store. There were other employees there doing nothing and only one customer besides me.

I called all the customer service phone numbers to make a complaint, but they all answered that there was no place where I could make a complaint and that the only complaints they handled were from customers who bought online.

So if the customer has a problem in a store and the manager as in this case Andrea refuses to help, the only thing you can do is make a dispute through your bank because Office Depo/Max has no headquarters to make a claim when the manager knows that there is no headquarters to qualify their customer service.

So Andrea believes that being grouchy if she is not in the mood, she can treat customers in a nasty way, which leads me to tell this situation to everyone I know, because the customer is unprotected with this policy and can have a lot of unpleasantness.

Office Depot Tech support that I paid for when I bought laptop

I contacted tech support at 11 a.m. this morning and SIX hours later the tech suppport popup box still shows something is still not completed - WHAT I don't know. It was a simple problem yet no one would answer in Chat, tech person would not answer or update, it kept showing some tech person Michael Ivan connected to my laptop yet doing NOTHING including ignoring me - this is NOT acceptable. SIX HOURS and it never fixed anything - if the issue could not be fixed then WHY didn't anyone answer me when I asked about it - my laptop sat open all blasted day with no end in sight. Now let me tell you the problem - connecting an external speaker did not work - Period - is THIS something they can't address some SIX hours and counting later? Can they not answer my chat message or tell me what the hell is going on or when I can shut my computer down or ANYTHING? THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE. I paid for this service and I can unpay for it too. I will NOT pay for this kind of treatment - so you can either fix all this or I'll be over at the store for a refund of the laptop I just bought - you can bet on that. ZERO excuses in this

Office Depot Instore and their toll free customer service

I have written a letter to the management of Office Depot and I've included it to this message so you can read the full details of exactly what had happened.

Dear Company Executives and to whom it may concern,

Dear Office Depot,

I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the service I received from your company. I recently placed an order with your store, only to have it cancelled without any notice. I was sent a confirmation email, but it did not indicate that the order was being held or that there were any issues with it.

When I went to the Hayward California store off Hesperian Road to pick up my order, I was told that it wasn't there. It took a long time for the staff to look for it, and when they finally figured out that it had been cancelled, it took them even longer to let me know. This was a complete waste of my time, and I am extremely disappointed with the level of service I received. And to add insult to injury I overheard the woman employee, that seemed to be in charge of the other employees tell the employee that was trying to locate my order, to go ahead and cancel the order so I would be forced to just go through the shopping process so I may repurchase the items like a walk in not an online order customer. Which logically made me speculate that this was a money driven agenda to better boost store sales stats. That is not the way to run a business and has left me with a terrible taste in my mouth.

To make matters worse, when I called your customer service line, I was met with equally unhelpful service. I was put on hold for a long time, and when I finally got through to someone, they were unable to resolve my issue. I was hung up without a resolution, and when I tried to call back, I was unable to get back to the same point in the process. So, then I just gave up trying. This is unacceptable. I expect better from a company like Office Depot, and I am extremely disappointed with the way I was treated. I suspect the ugly treatment in store as well as on the phone was since I have an accent and talk and walk like an immigrant, though I am a citizen now long time ago I came to this country with a dream and now I’m trying to live that dream by starting a consulting firm and I thought Office Depot was going to be my partner, to assist me growing my home business to become something of a reality. However, your employees, management in the store did not take any of my inquiries about my order seriously, I felt like I was being mocked and laughed at all due to the fact that I am not average Joe, and English is not my primary language. Office Depot Purchase

I went to the Your Hampton store on10/23/2033. I needed a ream of paper and envelopes for Thank you notes. Your paper was marked 2/$15 So I picked one up. Than found envelopes for $13.79 #50. I thought that was a lot. But since the paper was on sale figured why not. Got to the check out and was charged $12.99 for the paper. You have to buy two to get the sale price. Walking out the store thinking that was high. When I got home, I decided to check Amazon. Should have checked them first. Got a ream of paper, $9.99 and looked up envelopes found #100 for $9.99. And it was delivered today. No brainer. I returned yesterday's purchase back to the store. How'd that work out for you. I saved $6.80 cents plus tax. And you lost a customer. Maybe you should rethink your pricing.

The only redeeming thing was the lovely young lady at check out. Wish I'd remembered her name. She apologized numerous times, which was not her fault it was managements.

In these times you either give the customers a reason to shop with you or you will no longer exist.

Office Depot Customer care

I ordered a file cabinet on August 23rd, when it arrived it had been dented on the bottom from shipping. I contacted customer service and they stated that they can process the credit and re-ship or just credit and we could keep the item. So... I decided to just keep the item and receive the credit instead of waiting for the new cabinet. I was given a credit confirmation number and on return details it stated no need to return. I checked my bank, and the credit was pending. A while goes by, and the credit was removed from my account never going through. so, I contacted customer support again and they first asked if I still had the cabinet or if I had gotten rid of it. I told them I still had it and they said that the credit was reviewed and now I have to return the item. What if I had gotten rid of it? after stating that I indeed have a copy of the initial conversation stating that I would receive a credit, the new "agent" said that they would escalate the order to inform about this. they came back and gave an escalation number with a promise of contact and said (AGAIN) that they requested a credit and inform about what the previous agent told me and make sure that I get the credit without returning. I received the e-mail saying again that I need to return the item for the credit. This was on October 13th, I e-mailed back asking for the original agreement. HERE IS THE ISSUE. If when I had first contacted customer service, they said return it for refund, fine, done! annoying to have to wait for another one but doable. But now you have lied to me and are now making me go out of my way to make right something that was wrong on your end. And have to waste my time contacting "Customer Support" going back and forth for over a month! I simply asked that you do what was said. BTW. I do have pictures of the dent on the cabinet but was never asked to provide any proof.

Desired outcome: REFUND as was first told I would receive.

10-11-23 @ 8:14am Bristol Va store#2234

I called and got a choice to select a key, I selected 4 which was supplies. He said he was in the furniture dept but I selected supplies so he acted like it was my fault for selecting the wrond dept. The guy was very rude and even hug phone up on me. I have called again and been on auto music for 16 minutes and then it said for me to leave a message. Which I did and ask for manager to call me back. I was looking for ink and he said he did not have it in store. So I then asked for him to see if they had the other smaller yield in store because the particular one I had a number for was the xxl. He then ask if I had a number and I said "no" that I have the model of printer. Then he said "well I will have to walk all the way over there to look". Then he ask someone if they had ink in the store, I then told him the model and he would have to figure it out since he works there and I don't. I told him he needs to stop begin sorry and do his job. He told me to calm down. Well if he would do his job and just went and looked I would not have a problem. Then he hug up on me. I CALLED SEVERAL TIMES AND NO ONE WILL ANSWER ME!

On Sunday 10/8 at 12:15 husband in Albuquerque paid store #6162 to send my medications to me in Duluth GA via overnight FedEx tracking #[protected]. When FedEx tracking showed no package picked up by 5 pm Tuesday 10/10, I called depot store. Alan in furniture answered my call, found my package in the photo department. He noticed FedEx guy leaving store and ran after him to give him my OVERNIGHT PACKAGE OF CRITICAL MEDICATION. Kudos to Alan and shame on whoever did NOT take care of this customer.

Office Depot Office Depot Store #446 Assistant Manager Rhonda

I will first commend Office Depot for the service that I usually receive from store #446. The print supervisor Johnanthan has always provided great service with a cheery disposition. However, this past Saturday morning, there was so much to complain about.

I entered the store on my way to an event. I attempted to self-print labels that I brought in. I quickly entered my USB and proceeded to follow the prompts. Once arriving at the print screen, I noticed that it informed that it would be printing from side tray. So, I assumed that the tray which was visible on the side was the aforementioned “Side tray.” So, I stood there trying to be certain that I had the labels loaded in the tray properly – face up or face down. Now. Normally I would be able to figure out what the diagram provided meant, but this day I had only 3-4 hours of sleep and found myself confused. I did, however, lean towards it meaning face down. But to be certain not to be charged for a mistake, I walked up to one of the print service representatives and informed her that I only had three or so hours of sleep and that I just wanted to be sure that I was loading the labels correctly. I told her that about the side tray being the tray on the outside and that I was confused whether the diagram meant face up or face down. She immediately responded as if she was bothered, “The side tray is face up.” So, I thanked her and returned to complete the printing. Upon printing I soon realized that the printer weas not going to pull from that outside tray, but it was too late. The labels were printed on regular copy paper from some internal paper tray. Now, this was only two copies, and I did mention that I was not going to pay for that mistake because I don’t want to lose money for anything – especially if it isn’t my fault. Another customer across from me heard me, and loudly agreed with “I know that’s right.”

So, I called out to the same print representative to help me figure this out. So, she reluctantly gets up to help. She then realizes that I was not using the side tray after all. I asked her if I could get that refunded, and she hesitatingly responded, “Well, yeah, I can give you your .65 cents back. How many copies was it?” So, I informed her that there were two. So, we go through the process of selecting the right tray. I asked her what tray it was for future reference, and she unwillingly and flippantly informed me that it was the custom tray. Her facial expressions and tone spoke louder than her actual words. Of course, I took a mental note that in the beginning when I asked her about this side tray and whether it was to be loaded face up or face down, she agreed that this tray that I spoke of was the side tray – not the custom tray. She went back to her seat.

So, I proceeded to finish the print job – 4 prints on labels. Now this time the correct tray was selected but because initially I had been told that the side tray which was the custom tray needed to be loaded face up, the labels remained face up. This representative did not correct the mistake and inform that that the custom tray should be loaded face down. So, what happened? Those labels were printed on the back side. Another mental note was taken to get another refund. So, I reloaded the labels face down completed all print work and went to the counter. I asked for the refunds. This same woman belted out, “I already gave you your refund.” I went on to explain what happened with the second attempt once the right tray was selected but not having corrected the proper loading of the paper. She told me that she wasn’t going to be able to do that. So, I explained to her that I wasn’t told to flip the labels over for the custom tray, so I wasn’t going to pay for that error. She became very frustrated and said, “You know what? I’m not even gonna argue with you.” So, she went through with the refund. Then some other worker chimes in, “Well, once we give a refund, we usually take the copies.” Well, this backing up must have given woman her a little more courage because she then says, “Yeah, we do, and I’m gonna have to take your copies.” So, I replied, “I understand that you may take copies,” and gave those to her. “But you can’t have my labels. The labels can still be used.” I explained that because of improper loading, they were printed on the back and that I can still print on the front.” She became so upset - raised her voice threw her hands up. She yelled, “Look, you got your money back. That’s what you wanted.” So, I had to inform her that it wasn’t about the money, it was about doing what’s right. Shem mentioned that the sign says “Self Serve.” I explained to her that I asked her to help me because I had only gotten three hours of sleep and needed her assistance. She tried to use that against me by implying that I was causing a disturbance due to my lack of sleep. I explained to her again that I asked her that one thing about the trays to help me complete the job, but because she was so bothered by a customer asking a question, she made the error – and then did it a second time by not clarifying that the custom tray is loaded face down. We exchanged words until we were shouting at one another. I informed her that she was wrong and needed to take responsibility for such a minute error. She blew this thing way out of pocket. She was perturbed from the start and just couldn’t pull herself together. She accused me of yelling after continuing to spew unsensical things to justify her poor behavior. I explained that I was yelling because I only had three hours of sleep and then had to come in the store and deal with her. I, then, asked her what her excuse was. I told her that working there was her job – that she was customer service and wasn’t doing a good job. I then took a breath, walked over to her and read her name tag. She then said, “It’s Rhonda, the assistant manager.” I replied. “That’s why the store is in the shape that it’s in,” and walked away from the counter to exit the store.

I am sorry to have to mention this, but I must. As she turned away from me at the self-serve printer, a pungent, foul odor wafted my direction causing me to hold my breath for a second. This, Office Depot, should not be tolerated either. I already had to endure her unprofessional demeanor – lack of concern, poor word choice, frustrated body language, and abrasive tone. Rhonda failed to serving a customer – me. But then doubly insulted me with her lack of hygiene.

After hearing this report, I am hopeful that Assistant Manager Rhonda be reprimanded very sharply, if not fired. The antics she displayed that morning were the utmost of unprofessionalism. It took my everything to not spew cussing nor speak of her funk as well. My lips quivered such that I heard the trembling of my voice. Only Christ kept me from losing it.

Please contact me regarding this matter. I have been so affected by this encounter that when I think of it, my heart still races.

This morning I called Store #446 and asked for the general manager’s name and the printing supervisor’s name. I was told that the general manager was Eric and the print supervisor is Johnathan – again, which I work with all of the time. I explained that I was filing a complaint and wanted to get some information to them. I asked if I could receive their last names but was told that the GM and print supervisor would be in tomorrow and to call in to get their last names from them. I resolved to write this letter directly to your office. I appreciate your support.

Office Depot Order # [protected]-001

Dear Sir:

I am very upset with Office Depot. I ordered a printer on 10/5/2023. Order #[protected]-001. I realized that our 501 (c)(3), Burn Survivors Throughout The World, Inc., did not need the printer and within 1.5 hours of the order I called and requested that it was cancelled. The representative said not you cannot cancel the order and I said it is processing and less than 2 hours since I ordered it. She kept saying that it cannot be cancelled. I asked to speak to a supervisor and she put me on hold and left me there. over 30 minutes and she never returned. I requested a call back and never got one. I ask Office Depots upper management to look into this and cancel the order or pay for the return of the product and refund my money. I have informed the credit card company and they are waiting for the charge to come to the card.
