Hidden charges for delivery to Canada
Ordered relatively inexpensive children's clothes and the delivery charge was significant. During delivery the delivery company (DHL) required additional payment for more than the Next delivery charges for "customs clearance". This was unexpected and significant. Recommend others assume delivery charge will be doubled (or more) when shipper gets payment. Shipping is now greater than the price of the goods.

Got an order for a cushion from NextDirect back in October of 2020 and it was supposed to be delivered by November 16th. However, I was left waiting with no word from them about any updates or delays. Couldn't get hold of them easily either, it was quite a struggle. Eventually after a few tries on the phone, I got through to them and was informed that I would be receiving a refund. Despite sending an email to their complaint department, I still have heard nothing back and to add insult to injury, their website is still promising the delivery of the same item within a week. Their customer service is definitely nothing to write home about!

I recently, like really recently bought a pair of dope loafers (you know how it is, gotta keep up with the fashion trends) from the NextDirect website.
They came hella fast, like faster than I expected. But here's the thing, the sizing was all funky. Like I ordered a size 11, but it was like two sizes too small. Super wack, right?
And not only was the sizing off, but the quality was pretty weak sauce. The materials were mad cheap, and there were some janky finishes on the leather. The stitching was all wonky too. It just wasn't a good look.
All in all, not worth the cash. Definitely a waste of time and money, yo. I'm not trying to deal with that again. Peace out, NextDirect.

I recently gave NextDirect a go and ordered four items from their online store. The first set of products arrived on the 24th of December 2021, followed by the second batch on the 29th of December. While I'm happy that my order finally made it to me, I can't help but feel that the delivery was a tad slow considering that I placed and paid for my order on the 6th of December 2021.
To be honest, if I hadn't reached out to Paypal for assistance, I'm not entirely sure if my items would even have turned up. I contacted Next Direct's customer service team multiple times, but I didn't receive any satisfactory responses, nor did I receive any helpful updates from SkyNet (the delivery company). It was only when Paypal became involved that things began to move forward.
Despite the delays and communication mishaps, I have to say that the products themselves are of good quality and look just as amazing as they did online. But as much as I adore my new purchases, I'm still disappointed that the delivery process took longer than necessary. Hopefully, Next Direct can improve their logistics and communication systems soon so that others don't have to go through the same ordeal I did.
Overall, while I have mixed emotions about my Next Direct experience, I'll still consider them as an option for future purchases. Perhaps I'll just take into account that their delivery times might be slower than expected and keep that in mind when placing my next order.
