Neiman Marcus / The Neiman Marcus Group — return
My Name is Nakai Barrientos and I had purchased my wedding gown at the Cherry Creek Denver store on March 9, 2019. Unfortunately, due to unexpected life events I am no longer getting married. I, personally did not think I would ever be in this situation and I threw away my receipt for the gown. My mother purchased the gown for me and is able to provide a credit card statement of the day and time we were at your store purchasing the gown. I called your store on Wednesday July 3, 2019 and spoke with an associate in dresses. I asked what the return policy was and explain d my situation to said associate. She said there was nothing you guys could do you in order to return my dress. I've been asked to speak to the dress manager and was directed to Morgan Rose. She said she was the dress manager (come to find out she is not) and I proceeded to explain my situation to her. She told me that I could bring my dress in and examine it and if it were not worn you guys could see what you could do for me. I thanked her very much and hung up the phone. Today Sunday, July 7th I came into your store and went to the dress department. I asked her associate if I could return the dress if I don't have a receipt as I talked to the manager the other day. She immediately copped an attitude and told me to go to customer service. When I asked where that was she just pointed me in the direction without saying a word. I was incredibly offended at the rude customer service I had just experienced right off the bar. Then when I got to customer service I was greeted by a man and I asked if I could return my dress clearly stating it had all the tags, it had never been worn, I knew the exact date it was purchased, I had the email and the card it was purchased on. He did not seem to care at all and immediately handed me off to someone else without saying a word. There treated me like I was not even a human being. I was handed off to Andrea. She had me write down all of my mothers information, who was the one who purchased my gown for me. And without saying a word she took the piece of paper and left with my dress. She came back with Morgan Rose, who is now all of a sudden not the dress manager. Megan, without asking me a single question, without looking up a receipt, without looking at the card the gown was purchased on she said there's nothing you can do for me regardless of the situation because Neiman Marcus has a policy. Which I understand, which is why I called on Wednesday.
I began to explain to her my situation again noting that Nordstrom Cherry Creek had returned my six bridesmaids dresses without any hesitation or any attitude and disrespect from sales associates. She shrugged her shoulders and laughed a little under her breath and said there was nothing you could do. I began to cry as I never thought I would be in this situation and so disrespected by your staff. I left. If there is anything you, Nieman Marcus can do with this address I would greatly appreciate it. If you would like to call me personally my number is [protected].
