Why does Wes and Pamela McCoy always host together? Can't they host separately? Don't they know how annoying it is that they're always together? They must find a way to host without each other... It's codependency at it's worst with them!
Fighting for my refund!
I have been fighting with NBC Universal Store since December! I ordered an in-stock shirt for a Christmas gift on Dec. 6, 2007, to be shipped on Dec. 10, 2007. Never received any word from them after my order confirmation e-mail, but when the item didn't appear by Dec. 21st, I checked the site and it showed backordered with no new shipping date. On Dec. 27th, I called and cancelled the order, still listed as backordered. The girl told me that if it arrived anyway, I should refuse delivery. When I asked why the item would be shipped if I was cancelling it, she said it sometimes happens! Sure enough, on Jan. 2nd, 2008, they shipped it and I refused delivery when it came. Since then there have been unanswered e-mails to customer service, and 5 phone calls to try to get my money back. So far, I have gotten the price of the t-shirt refunded but am still fighting for my shipping charges to be credited. Everyone I have spoken to (a different person with each call) has a new story about what's going on, including Sean who told me they don't accept cancellations on orders and thats why I hadn't gotten a refund! They all said that only supervisors could credit my account, and of course there is never a supervisor available. Thank gooodness I used Paypal, that seems to be the only thing that gets their interest when I call. It has been going on for almost 3 months. I will NEVER order anything from NBC again.
Scam and rip off!
I ordered a hoodie from their website before Thanksgiving. It was on backorder and due to ship 12/26/07. It never shipped, and I never received any updates from them about the status. I emailed their "customer service" three times; all three times I got an automated email saying I would have a real response in 24 hours, but there was no follow up. I even called their "customer service" number and was told that the phone people are completely different from the email system, and there is no way to actually file a customer service complaint. Here I am paying them for a product to basically wear and give them free advertising, and they can't even respond to a simple inquiry. Never shop from their site, ever.
Shady credit card collections!
We purchased a flat screen TV from shopnbc, setting up a "flexpay/creditcard" account with them. the limit on the card covered one payment per month. TV was delivered. from day one had trouble with the sound and constant rebooting of digital cable. We immediately contacted shopnbc about the possible defect with the TV. at this point, they were helpful. we also told the "customer service" person that we may send the TV back if not satisfied. they gave us authorization to have a local toshiba tech t0 make a house call.
In the meantime, we received a notice from shopnbc that our new "credit card" from shopnbc was DENIED because we never called to activate it. we stated we would not make a single payment until the TV actually worked. The problem was with our AT&T digital cable, got the TV problem all straightened out, and were, and still are, happy with the television.
BUT... while all this was going on, we started our battle with shopnbc to pay for the TV. several different reps called at several different times demanding several different amounts of payments due "immediately". trying to figure out what was going on with the flexpay, and getting them to actually send a statement showing the status of the account was a huge exercise in frustration and futility.
All this took place within a 2 WEEK PERIOD. then the numerous rude harassing phone calls began from a mystery collections agency, CPC, began. Shopnbc sold our "delinquent" account after only 2 weeks! During these 2 weeks, we tried several times to arrange payments like we agreed to at the time of sale. This CPC i called Mysterious" because they refuse to send a statement/invoice, have no address, and only will communicate by phone and fax. any out there think this is NOT shady? We are still dealing with this... shopnbc dead ends us every time we call, and refuse to give us any information about this CPC, this so-called "collections agency" that has all the earmarks of a scam from overseas.
Hell will freeze over before i by so much as an apple from shopnbc, and i tell everyone i know about it.
I ordered a Pamela McCoy jacket for a Christmas present...I RECIEVED THE WRONG ITEM WITH THE CORRECT ITEM NUMBER. THE COMPANY MESSED UP BIG TIME IN MY OPINION. I called customer service and they asked me if I wanted to place another order for the same item...I COULDNT BELIEVE IT! PISS POOR SERVICE- when i send the item back I will not get the jacket until after CHRISTMAS. PISS POOR SERVICE!
Poor customer care service!
I placed an order 7 weeks ago. 2 items were promptly shipped to my PO Box...by FED-EX ! Some nimrod is shipping actually thinks FEDEX delivers to PO Boxes? They were returned and there they sit. The third item I was told would ship on July 31st. Come July 31st and magically it changes to 'backordered'. They had to know it wasn't available and should have said so from the start. These were SUPPOSE to be gifts. I had to run out last minute and find replacement gifts. Mistakes can and do happen but here's where it gets good! They have a "contact customer service' icon, what you get is a menu of possible complaints and after selecting the one that best fits, you get an automated response that is useless and NO CUSTOMER SERVICE at ALL! No phone number to call them at, NOTHING! I had to resort to making a complaint with my credit card company for a refund, filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and my state Attorney general's office. I'll bet it still wont improve their lack of customer service. They probably get so many complaints that they don't WANT you to have their phone number! AVOID NBC UNIVERSAL STORE online. Its a waste of your time and money.
I've had similar problems and will never order from NBC Universal Store again.

My name Angela I am a disabled person so traveling is very difficult for me to keep going back and forth to universal furniture store to keep getting the run around over and over again as of july 6 2007 i purchase a dining room set wich includes table 6 chairs a china cabnit and a server which cost alot of money of which I don't have it was a gift from my friend this set cost 5,000 dollars and to this day I still doi not have all the peaces that I should have like the 2 chairs are missing the botom part of the china cABNIT WAS DAMMGAED and was suposed to be replace still not replaced and my server havenot gotten,I keep calling them and asking when all this will be taking care of and still getting the run around I have tried to be patent but thats running short i didnt have anything done for christmas and that was very depressing to me plz help me get this resolved and if anything out of all the trouble they put me through allthe stress and all I should get my set and some of my moneyu back or even all of it since me and my fiance spent well over 50,000 dollars on them and he is even having problems with them as well we had a problem with everything we bought from them and this is really anoying

I purchased a tv from shop nbc when i received it was defective. I was told i will receive instructions in the mail on how to return the product. When i called Shop NBC to confirm the instruction i was giving different instruction to use a shipping company i was not familiar with netless to say 2months later my tv is sitting in the shippers warehouse in MN. Shop nbc says although i was giving the wrong information i should of follow the instruction that was mail to me. Now i have $500 storage fees And $400 shipping fees. I contacted everyone BBB DCA FTC and nothing. I even tried to go to small claims court but i cant file because they are in another state. This is such a sad story, who was it that said the customer is always right? I guess big company with large budgets can afford to take advantage of little people like me. I just want them to pay for the fees occurred due to their representative's mistake! But i guess i am on my own. So buyer beware, go to a reputable store and make any big purchases.

I am so upset, and discussed with the internet process of companies that defraud the consumers, such as myself.
I have been paying for this insurance plan for months, with the primus that I would be discounted for hospital stay/bills/charges. When I had to be hospitalized, low and behold the hospital did not honor this plan so I am stuck with paying this supper large hospital bill, with no means to pay it.
I have been unable to reach anyone on the phone, at NBC Health.com, after many calls. I am trying to get information on line concerning them, and still no help...
Others beware, of the deal that sounds too good to be true, well it isn't true at all.

I got a call from a so called Dawn from so called NBC Health saying I was per approved at the rate of $129 a month but i would need to pay an initial start up fee of the same amount.Everything she said sounded great and the price was right too. offering $15K life insurance right away and they offered me 80/20 coverage, just like allof you have said. I told her I was interested and asked for a website or a phone I can callher back at. She replied that they will only be offering this offer in my state (New Jersey) for today and then they are moving on. She said that the information they sent via e-mail was probably in my spam box under NBC Health. Well I didn't find anything and when I tried to call back the number I couldn't get through "Call Failed". So when I jumped on the internet to do some research I found all these complaints. I am so happy that I did not give them my VISA number. I feel terrible for all the victims of this scam. Offering a too good to be true insurance to people that really need it is dispicable!
I worked for nbc health for about 1 day and at first i thought it was a great thing, but as i was being trained in that day i realized that there were so many different names for the company and how many different things were said to certain people. If the person that was looking for health insurance knew to much about insurance companies they would be hung up on, but if they sounded unsure or confused then they'd end thinking it was a good plan when in actuality its not. Heres the catch they cover UP TO 80%. In otherwords they probably won't pay a penny. But the confirmation call is the key, it tells you that customer is responsable for all costs at time of service. I quit the same day, i just can't see myself taking money from people, when they work hard for it. So now i have no job but i can sleep at night knowing i didn't help to scam anyone out of their hard earned money.
Yep it's a scam! After you sign up they want you to become a member of some other prescription plan because the one they sold you was bogus! Total scam! They should be shut down!
Hi people, my name is Arthur and I'm a health Insurance agent in Chattanooga, I was trying to find out who this NBC Health was after speaking with a client. After reading all of these complaint on this company it hurts me to know that agents like these are still able to do business. I would like to try and help everyone here because there are companies that will cover you with your health problems. First, you must make sure that any Health plan covering people with pre-existing conditions must be HIPAA Compliant. AIM is a company that is HIPAA Compliant that will cover people with pre-existing conditions, right away if you had insurance for the past 12 months or if it's been less than 63 days since you were insured. If not you will be cover after 12 months for major problems that may need surgery. however you can still go to the Doctor with a co-pay, get your meds with a co-pay. I hope this will HELP everyone, that's what we should do for people. I hope you all will use this information and past it on to someone else who may need this. You can't make money on everything, sometimes you must help your fellow man. That's what the LORD would have you do, so please past it on.

I was shopping online for health insurance coverage and recd a call from a Tom Michaelson who basically offered the 80/20 coverage. In conversation, I advised that I currently have coverage, but shopping for a better deal. Tom immediately told me that they were a non-profit and could only give this "special" limited offer to people who are uninsured. The cost would've been $125.95 per month. Amazing, I thought! I was not able to benefit from this offer, but asked on behalf of my sister who is uninsured. So I asked if this plan was tied to earnings. No, he said. More amazing! But, at this point, the RED FLAG flew up. Tom wanted information about my sister. Instead, I asked if NBC health had a site online and he provided the name NBC Health and some other name. HERE'S the protection we all need to do before committing to ANYTHING: Do your online research. Go on GOOGLE and search for Scam, ripoff, fraud, complaints, any of those words with the name of the specific organization and if there's a complaint, it will show and you can save yourself trouble, time, and, more importantly MONEY. This is what I do with any decision, particularly involving financial commitments. Needless to say, I will not pass on this information to my sister. FINALLY, the old saying is true: IF IT SEEMS TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE, THEN IT IS A SCAM. (Changed to make it crystal clear). Nothing in this life is free, except the air we breathe and depending on where we live, breathing could also be way too costly! Sorry for all of those who lost your money, but learn from the experience; alert your banks; change credit card, file a report with better business bureaus, blog it, write a comment online to protect others, etc. Thank you all for your reports.

My fiance and I have serious health issues.We are both in our early thirties.I called this company and I recieved some kind of manuscript.The prescription program was a really big joke.I got some flimsy little leaflet of the prescriptions that they cover.We are not in a position to change our medications.I didn't even get a booklet with the names of doctors that were in our area.These people need to stop what they are doing.I was given 30 days which i had to try out the plan.I immediately canceled.I sent a letter and I called.But I have not heard about my supposed refund.We all need to band together to get our money back and to help other people from being Frauded like we were.
I don't know about anyone else but I am pissed.My doctor was right it sounded way to good to be true

They told me it was an 80/20 deal it is not, the prescription plan is terrible, gave Danny a list of my medication told they would be covered under the different tiers of the plan 1, 2, or3 which would cap perscriptions @ 50.00, but my medications were on tier 4 the tier that gives you the up to 10-30% off of over $880.00 per month, I was told that all my medication fell within the first 3 tiers, Cannot find any of my Drs. in their network.
I have not been able to get them to find me a doctor told them I want my money back and they say it is non refudable. I am a Diabetic and I just moved to Colorado and I can not find a doctor that is in their network, I really feel like I have been ripped off! and I am going to have to go threw my bank as well to get my money back.

This is about the NBC Universal Store Online (NBCUniversalStore.com). I ordered two shirts and called them that I wanted to exchange them for different sizes. No Problem. I mailed them with insurance but then misplaced the receipt for the insurance. I have called at least once a week for the last three months! They were very courteous, but never sent my shirts.
Then I found the insurance receipt and found out that they had received the shirts three days after I mailed them, three months ago! I contacted them a week ago and they assured me that they would be sent out immediately! Still no shirts! If you order anything from them, just don't ever expect an exchange!

I ordered the dundie trophey for a gift; it came in badly damaged. I returned it following the return instructions but never recieved a refund. I tried to corespond through e-mail with no responce and now I can not even get through on the customer service line. I get the feeling that I need to write this off as a loss.

I can't believe that these comments and complaints were made by adults! I don't know if this is considered a form of cyber bullying or not, but if it isn't, it sure should be! I think that there is a way to make a complaint without trying to drag someone through the mud. I think that everyone should make it a practice to read their complaints aloud and then ask themselves "would I want this written about me?" before they send it. Everyone needs to remember that we live in a very different world than we did before computers. When you send something electronically it's out there forever! People are not robots, eventually it could break a person, and you need to ask yourself "do I want to be the cause of someone taking their lives?" before you click on SEND!
I orderd an eliptical from Shop NBC and it was a "today special" for the price of 449.96. I recieved an email on sept. 1st that said my order was on its way, when my eliptical did not arive i called shopnbc and was told that i had to put a 30 day track on it and that if they could not find the product that they would refund the money and if i wanted i could purchase the eliptical at the "today special" price instead of the higher price it is now. so i waited 30 days and i called back and was informed that i would get my money back, but when i asked about purchasing the product at the lower price i was told that they could only do it if it was within 30 days of the purchase. when i told them that i had to wait 30 days for the tracking to be done and it wasn't my fault they told me that there was nothing they could do. How can Shopnbc expect me to reorder in 30 days when i had to wait for their tracking to be done.
Returned an Invicta watch with insurance and tracking. 25 days later they will not process the return. I told them that they signed for it and it was in their hands and the CSR said "Well we haven't scanned it as here." Whose fault is that?! The Post Office shows it as delivered, I have proof you signed for it and they still won't give me my money back! They keep taking my money out of the account every month for the "value pay".
Not sure what kind of repercussions I have if they won't refund my money. Small claims court? Ugh. Hate them. Plus, I bought another watch for my son for Christmas and 2 days later one of the numbers fell off the watch face. Total Junk! Never again.
I am being charged over $800.00 for a order that I canceled and never received. ShopNBC have failed to give my credit for my frist payment and keep on charging my credit card for a TV and Stand that I never received. ShopNBC have the worst customer service in the world. I have called and requested for a response from a supervisor, I have received no calls back.
It is a sad day when we as human beings can be so mean to each other. They did a good job. I wish I had a relationship like theirs. We are God's children, don't we believe that there is a God. It is painful to read some of the comments.. From the heart the mind speaks and this is according to the Bible. Examine your hearts and please forgive yourself and please apologize for your hurtful words.

Shop NBC is the absolute worse. I have had similar experiences like all the other complaints, The straw that broke the camels back was when I made a purchase from them and with 30 minutes my debit card information was compromised. Some had given out my account info and my address and my debit card was being using in Georgia. The same exact thing happened to my sister exactly three weeks prior, so that is not a coincidence. I WILL NEVER SHOP WITH THEM AGAIN. I have spend thousands of dollars with them, but no more.
I watched the McCoy years ago on Shopnbc until that channel was no longer available to certain viewers. I bought a couple of faux fur coats from Pam's line. They are still good as new and I get a lot of compliments whenever I wear them. They are warm without being heavy and very classic. Good luck to this couple.
I enjoyed watching Pam and Wes together. I haven't seen them in a long time.. (now I see why),
To all of you critics out there. I am a family business owner of many years. This is the deal. When a client walks through that door, you put on your happy face. It doesn't matter how irritated you were with your spouse, mother, father, or brothers, that worked right next to you. The "pubic" does not want to know our business. It is all about the client. They are investing their time in visiting our establishment, and spending their money. They are coming to get away from all the drama in their own home. Clients want to discuss their issues... that is what is important.
I enjoyed watching the McCoy family work together. It was a working relationship.. Unless you have carried this load, in front of the whole world, don't throw such big rocks. I wish them the "best" in their future... (as well as you).
I just went on the website shopnbc.com to see when Wes and Pamela McCoy were going to be on next and see they were no longer hosts... I know sometimes, things were not so exciting or it may have sounded repetitive but, I thought they were good hosts... I enjoyed the segments of her clothing... I wish them nothing but the best in a new chapter of their lives and hope to see them soon on tv soon...
