my name age search exposing my age
When you type my name in a browser this is how I am exposed. I have filed complaints with MY Life through email yet they continue to expose this information publicly. Previously it did not include my maiden name but this week it does. I have to find a job in the future and I certainly do not need my age exposed publicly. I have deleted all social forum accounts. Not sure what to do now

unauthorized use of my information.
I found out this site has information on me such as my name, current and former addresses, names of my friends and family members. I never would give my personal info to this company for others to see and used. I am a victim of identity thief, case currently in court, this site may be where my information was found and used. I want all reference of me. Tamara L. McWhorter (44), (45) and Tamara McWhorter (44), (45), West Chester, Ohio and Cincinnati, Ohio to be remove from this site. I never gain these people permission to use my name or likeness .
Identity theft-refusing to take personal information off of website unless I pay a fee
I have been a victim of identity theft. I contacted customer service at my life who told me they would take my information off the website but several months later it is still there. Upon contacting them again I was told I would have to pay a fee to have my information taken off their website. This website is a scam and a class action lawsuit needs to be filed against this company and Jeff Tinsley. I believe my information was stolen off of their website. I have contacted multiple websitesthat contain my information and every company except my life complied with my request for no fee and all were very helpful. My life.com is breaking the law and needs to be stopped!
internet security website
Don't even think about using this service! I should have read these other reviews before I tried to sign up for this company. There was a strange issue with my credit card company seeing two charges at the same time from them, and they rejected it. I spoke to the credit card people and they said there were a couple of red flags. The two charges at the same time of course, but they said the address they have for my life is not what came through on the billing... Which of course made me wonder about their legitimacy. I reached out to their customer service, just out of curiosity, and and they sent me this very strangely worded and vague email back from that explained nothing and they removed the account that I had set up. Very shady stuff. I'm only out the time and energy I spent to set up the account and enter my credit card info.
Dodged a bullet!
horrible website!
This website should be removed from the Internet. The person that operates this site is a real scammer. He always posts things about other people on the net. He just posts everything he wants. But if you want those ridiculous posts to be removed you need to pay for it. Well, I paid him and he told that everything would be removed from the net in two weeks. But nothing was removed. So I called them and they told me that it actually takes five weeks to remove it all. And they also mentioned that I can pay again if I want them to work faster. I said I'll better wait. So I waited the other three weeks but all that fake information about me still wasn't removed. I contacted them again and they told me they need another three weeks. to give them another six weeks. Well, in the past people were writing about their lives and it was a good site. But what happened with it? Now, others can rate you and write dirty things about you. And no one cares about it! I have nothing more to say about this horrible website! This site makes me fell sick.
supposed background check ability: related to instant checkmate.com octopus umbrella site!!!
They collect information, supposedly charge only $1 for week trial period, then force you to pay to delete infomration on your page, see your own background information, much less anyone else's, that is promised to be 6 month's free access... Avoid this front, as it is connected to instantcheckmate.com, and who knows how many more websites this company has out there to bilk the public. Not worth the time and effort, and suspect that the holding of information not entirely legal either!
extortion through emails
I get up to 5 emails a day from these people. I called their 800 number and asked them to remove me from their list. Instead I have been getting even more. I have to pay them to remove it? I have kept all emails for evidence and I have phone records proving I attempt to make contact to get them off my back. Scammers. I'm up for a suit.
Continuously receiving emails. For years it was just check your back ground information and now they are saying we have ratings and reviews maybe from ex's. This site needs to be destroyed. I am all for public information but this has gone too far!
why is what they are doing not illegal?
How can this company collect and/or steal information including PII and post to their website and then force people to pay money to get it off the internet and ask them to score themselves. I looked myself up and they have me affiliated with all kinds of people that are not affiliated with me. No wonder I have started to receive calls from bill collectors for someone else, because now they think they have tracked down "a relative". This is horrible. I would join a lawsuit against them also.
can't control their own data/put their head in the sand
Called August 2015 to have my personal data removed. Told it was removed from Mylife and received a confirmation number. Three weeks later I performed a yahoo search and the first result is a my data from Mylife cached. Important fact is Yahoo reports the cached paged as 3 weeks after mylife told me it was deleted. Customer reps talk in circles and can not explain how after all my data was "deleted" how Yahoo 3 weeks later finds and publishes my data.
unethical company sharing private info publicly. will only delete if you pay!
This company is committing extortion. Stealing any information from other online sources, which are meant to be private to sell to stalkers. They also make their money by making you pay monthly to keep your own information hidden. If you don't pay they will expose it! How is this legal or ethical? I want my information removed immediately! We moved out of state to get away from a stalker but somehow this company got the info and I can't remove it unless I pay..., what? Class action lawsuit attorneys... Please get in touch. I'm sure you can find all if my info on MyLife!

lies
I was spammed by 6 emails from this company. When I went to do research on them to see if they were legitimate, their website said they were A+ rated by the Better Business Bureau. I checked bbb.org and they have NO rating at all for them. Lies, all Lies!
I lost a potential job and was locked out of my own bank account because they posted incorrect information on their site without my consent. I currently have a complaint open with the Better Business Bureau which MYLIFE responded to. I did not give MYLIFE.com any more information about me when I discovered what they were doing, instead I mailed them a CEASE AND DESIST letter about propagating false information. Their address comes up on the BBB site. It's in Los Angeles. They removed my profile, but when I google my name the link is still there on all search engines. They lied to the BBB in the complaint and said that they couldn't find my name...they did not tell the truth to the BBB which was that they DELETED my page. I don't know how to shut these people at MYLIFE.com down, but I did respond to the BBB with the links to the site they had up, which is still on all search engines. I'm really glad I didn't give them any more information and just went to the BBB...hopefully this will stop them from doing what they did to you and everyone else. I think they're on the ropes, and if someone would sue...you may get a class action lawsuit award...ANY ATTORNEY"S OUT THERE!
I was on facebook looking for a reality, then I went to search on the web and saw that my number had a site called My life. Well my number is unlisted so when you type my number in the system it should not pull up. My life has violated my privacy and that is against the law. It was even pulling up my name, I use to work for the Federal Bureau of Prisoners so my number stays unlisted, with them doing this it has cause harm to my and my family. Something needs to be done with this right away. I tried calling them but all I gt is some answering machine.
They have stolen my information. how do I get our information removed from my life, I did not agree for them to have my information but its on their site and they are trying to charge me t take it off and I want it removed right now. If you have an answer please email me a response mscc65@yahoo.com
free trial
Suppose to be signed up for FREE & DAY TRIAL, you can cancel any time. Had it for about 4 hours tried to cancel, had to call to cancel . They tried to say I signed up for 24 months at 94 dollars. Who would do that. insisted on full refund tried to tell me the best they could do was partial refund. When I explained I was calling the Attorney Generals Office they could suddenly give me a full refund. Will check in 3 days to be sure they did.
extortion tactics
These extortionists threaten me several times a day via email. They write to say that unless I agree to pay for a membership with them, they are going to be releasing my private information to the public. I have repeatedly contacted them through their "unsubscribe" button which does absolutely nothing. Today I called them and threatened a lawsuit and a...

I was recently charged for my subscription to Reunion.com. When I went online to cancel the subscription, I found that Reunion.com and MyLife.com had merged. I was not able to find a means to unsubscribe on the MyLife.com site so I called the Customer Service number provided. After repeating my email address 4 times to the Customer Service Rep (CSR), I was informed that the only way to unsubscribe was to provide credit card information over the phone. When I asked why I could not unsubscribe on my own computer, in my own account, I was not given a reason. I then asked to speak with a supervisor. The CSR challenged me and asked why would I want to do that. When I tried to explain the CSR that I simply wanted to talk with a supervisor the CSR faked the line going fuzzy (classic), then put me on hold to find a supervisor. When the CSR returned, a supervisor was not available (Really?!). Just a hint, Justin, real Customer Service Representatives do not eat chips in the ear of a customer. They do not pretend a line is going fuzzy. By the way, I did get your other name when you first answered. I will speak with a supervisor. MyLife.com ... Shame on you!
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
I have been trying to delete my account with My Life (Reunion) since 2009! Not only did they hit my bank account without telling my subscription was up for renewal (before it was actually due) and since I used Pay Pal, they too hit my account, which in turn over-drafted my account! I immediately went in to delete the account and it will not let you. To this date I keep getting Emails from them, at least 1 daily, that my information is in vulnerable and subject to hackers, or someone is looking for me. (All the names who are supposedly looking for me I don't have a clue who they are!) Thank god the phone number they have on my account is incorrect, however my address is not! I have sent them numerous requests via Email to delete me and they refuse! I even called them last month and I got VERY nasty with the broken English gentleman on the other end. I had to keep repeating my name and Email address. Then he put me on HOLD, when he returned he even said I see you have sent several Emails requesting to be deleted. He then assured me that after a 30 day period, I would no longer receive any more Emails from them. Well it's past the 30 days and I am STILL receiving them.! I have even tried to send them to my phishing folder and they keep making their way into my Email account!
charging me to remove my information
I called this company to remove my online information and to remove all photos they obtained from other sources. When I tried to remove myself online, this company tried to force me to give them my credit card number and pay to remove my information. They then asked if I had a Facebook account and wanted me to "Like" them and they would then remove my profile for free. I was told I would need to pay upwards of $20.99 a month to control my "Free" profile if I did not want them to "Expose" my information. How can I force them to remove unauthorized information and images. Please help me.
A class action suit to put them out of business is apparently needed here.
I've advised them in the past i have a protective order in place and need address suppressed. No answers to date. My information is still publicized. How can I force them to remove me even after sending proof of protective order and having filed an internet suppression with the Secretary of State of California?

getting email that says i am a member and that my private info has been exposed
I have been getting emails that states that my private info has been exposed. I have never signed up to be a member of mylife.com. Very unhappy they have info on me. They also state that I have people looking for me and also that I need to complete my searches for certain people. I have never been to their site so how could I do searches if I didn't start one to begin with.

I want to have my photo and incorrect information removed from mylife.com site. I don't know how they have the right to use your photo's (a very old and private photo) without permission. When I ask them to remove it they say you have to sign up and give my information to become a member in order to "manage my account" How do they have the right to force you to sign up for something that you want nothing to do with and shouldn't have to be bothered with. They collect any information they can find without confirming the validity of it. It's no wonder that people have their identity stolen so easily. They are a total scam of a site. If you look them up on wikipedia you will see how bad the complaints are and how my times they have been sued for bad business practices.

It would appear that they use PUBLIC web sites like Facebook to get the pictures.
I see that they used a photo that I used about 2 - 3 years ago.
Because you have an agreement with sites like Facebook to allow them to use this info when you sign up, they then share it with others.
I don't think they are braking any laws here.
fraudulent charges
I thought I was being charged after a trial...but they charged 12 months @7$ for a subscription that was supposed to have a free trial. When I called them to get a refund and pay them for the one month since I had used their service to find one person...they refused, saying all sales are final. I called my bank to stop the charge going through and can only...

This company charged my credit card after a supposedly free trial and signed me up for monthly fees for discount shopping that I didn't even know about, then they made it impossible to get refunded when I called. So now they are being sued and I am going to call the law firm that is trying to get the money refunded. Franklin Lemond Webb, Klase & Lemond...
