This is a beautiful program that needs more attention. People need social interaction in prisons.. I haven't been in myself.. but i cant imagine how lonely it could be. I'm so happy for compassionate groups like this.

I wish I could give no stars. They drag their feet when it comes to uploading information for profiles. I uploaded four photos three weeks ago and they are yet to be added to my brother's page. At this point we want a refund. DO NOT USE THEM!

I emailed them about tech diDifficulties and they responded within 24 hours and I appreciate that and they also helped me post what I needed to post to help my love one get his post up. These days and times where honesty is rare. It is nice to know that some people are still being honest.

I discovered this site, it is very good. Everything is well explained, even with a language translator available. zero bug on the site. i like the idea of allowing inmates to talk with the outside world. It allows them to think about something else and bring them some joy . Thank you for thinking of them in this difficult time

I think this is such a phenomenal idea. We always have to remember that prisoners are people too, so they need to maintain their connection with the world in one way or another. It's such a humbling idea to be able to connect with someone on the inside and let them know there are still people on the outside that care and want to communicate with them. 100% would recommend participating in.

3 years ago i decided to write a prisoner due to me a celebrating holidays alone. i then met my close friend Nancy here. we've never lost contact since. i decided to write a new prisoner a male not the christmas that just passed but the one before, he is now my spouse! i'm more than thankful. never knew i'd find the love of my life writing a prisoner. not only that it theyre both released this year. not sure how i even found this website but i'm thankful!

The way the page is made and all the steps are simple, i really felt safe and happy in what i was doing. Yes it may be scary at first, it is something new after all. But take a chance! you are changing someone´s life. Second chances are for everyone and what this page is doing is so lovelly and human. My son sent his profile in with money and picture 2 months ago and they still have his money pic and info .They lied to me in 2 emails were rude and said you said not to not true also that they received partial pymt not true also then to add insult to injury they leave no phone number to reach a person to answer questions to hey won't answer on emails and they get mad if u send ore than 1 .I would think after putting him through that they owe him at least a free 1 yr profile I want to speak to who runs this company my son is upset at me for there questionable business practices. I would give this no stars! But that option isn't available. My brother was posted on this website without his consent by someone that is trying to ruin his marriage. I contacted the establishment requesting for the page to be removed and they stated they require a letter from the prioner. My brother has written them over 10 letters and sent out a form they mailed to him to have the page removed and they still haven't removed it. Its been over a month. I asked if i could email them a letter from him or send them a picture of him with a letter in hand with his request. They continue to say that he needs to write them. He has written them multiple times and they have not removed the profile. I am so outraged with their ignorance in allowing just anyone to post people and they don't have thier consent to be posted.

Yesterday November 13 I've Paid $10 dollars to add an extra picture to my cousins write a prisioner profile account and I didn't see the picture added to his profile. on august 18 I opened an account for my son who is incarcerated for $50.00, after reviewing it he wanted to make some changes. On 9/10 I paid $10.00 to change his profile & $10.00 to change his photo.This is for a year, this hasn't been done & they said it would take 7-10 days & it's been almost 2 months. Information and a money order for service was sent through the mail in JUNE for a profile for my incarcerated brother. They claim to know nothing. My incarcerated brother sent credentials via mail from the facility he's at, for a profile to be made for him. I sent a $60 money order through the mail for him for the requested payment for service. I've contacted write a prisoner 3 times within a few weeks, they claim to still have none of his information or money order for service.

I contacted this company regarding my loved one being listed in the wrong state and they still have not fixed the issue. My loved one *** aka *** is listed on the site as being in Florida. The company created his page. He is located in Pennsylvania. I paid for a subscription for this profile and they have not followed through on properly updating his State so he can be found in a search properly. He has received no correspondence because of the sites not following through on fixing the issue.

My Son's profile has wrong information and I had to pay twice to create another profile and still waiting for the update , three months and counting. My son is serving time at Snake River Correctional, we created a profile for him twice and paid for it twice, it took them 2 and half month to post it, and when they did on 7/19 it had the wrong information, I have been trying to add new pictures online , I paid for it and still not updated, I spent over $200.00 and they still got it wrong. I purchased an inmate profile for a friend and he never received the information from the website to complete his profile set up. On May 6 I purchased a pen pal profile for inmate *** DOC *** in Monroe Washington. As of today, June 21, he has not received any contact from write a prisoner.com to complete his profile set up. The website does not have any way to contact customer service to follow up on my purchase. He has written directly to write a prisoner.com and has received no response. I would like a refund of the $50 membership fee or for his profile packet to be sent out immediately.

on april 16th i was trying to set up a account for my brother on writeaprisoner.com who is incarcerated. after entering details about him i was brought to the page to pay for it after entering his doc number i was told he had a account from a previous incarceration and i could not make another account but i could renew his old one. So i chose to do that and after paying the 65.00 i tried to click on his page and it says page not found so now i am out the 65 dollars and there is no page for him i would like to be refunded for the page i renewed and got nothing. It's now March , and the profile updates haven't been made; he hasn't received mail from pen pals. I request immediate updates and a copy for my brother. My name is Rondell *** I have sent in two applications along with, two checks to the establishment of Write a Prisoner. One for $50 dollars which was sent on 06/10 and 09/13 for $65 the controlling number on both of those checks are my SBI # XXXXXXD. I hope this situation can be resolved as quick as possible as I was excited to join this website. Unfortunately, I have been waiting for over 4 months to hear something back. From my knowledge, I would think 60 days is a sufficient amount of time. Due to Covid-19 I have waited a longer period time , at this time I still have not heard anything back. This is something important me considering my circumstances, I would like to be able to communicate with others. I have sent my money for services they do promise , I just would like to at least know what's going , they communicated one time stating they needed my address which was provided. Made many attempts to get a response. None. I set up an acct for my son, and can't access it. I set up an account for my son and have actually paid to change photos and to add comments in his profile. I have since changed computers and cannot access his email or log in to the website to make additional changes.
