MyEyeDr review: Billing discrenpancy 7.31.2026
I am very disappointed with my experience with MyEyeDr. My daughter was charged $142.00 for an annual exam on 7.31.26, while my insurance company's Explanation of Benefits (EOB) showed $136.50, leaving a discrepancy of $5.50.
I contacted the provider and also called the Mayfaire office to ask for an explanation of the difference. Instead of helping me understand the discrepancy, I was told to contact my insurance company. I found this response frustrating because I was trying to understand why the amount charged by the provider did not match the amount shown on my EOB.
I expect better customer service, transparent billing, and assistance resolving billing questions from a healthcare provider. Patients should not have to go back and forth between the provider and the insurance company just to get a clear explanation of a charge.
I hope MyEyeDr. takes this concern seriously and improves its billing communication and customer service.
Recommendation: I hope MyEyeDr. takes this concern seriously and improves its billing communication and customer service.
