MTA I am complain about bus driver

June 14, 2017

To: whom it may concern,

I am writing to inform you of the inappropriate behavior of one of your bus drivers. I was not able to obtain his name, but I believe he will be easily identifiable from the following information.

On the morning of Thursday, June 1st at 7:15 am, I was riding on the Burgher Ave and Richmond Rd. I have ridden this bus from home to work every day for a few months, the regular bus driver knows me well. However, there was a different bus driver working on this particular morning.

I was at Burgher Ave and Richmond Rd, waiting for bus to pick me up as always The bus driver did not stop but, passed and ignored me. I informed him of this the next day when he did stop to pick me up. On this day the driver yelled at me but due to the fact that I am deaf I was unable to hear or understand what he was telling me. I became very upset at this and decide to get up earlier the next day to take an earlier bus hopping that it would be a different driver. Again I noticed him which did not make me happy in fact I was very uncomfortable being on his bus.

As I said before I did not catch his name but, he had grey/black hair and a goatee. I sincerely hope that you consider this behavior unacceptable and that you will take appropriate steps to reprimand this driver. I would appreciate follow up information from you so that I can be certain you take this information seriously. Please contact me by mail or I can be reached [protected].

Sincerely,

Maria Borrero

I can't believe that there are still honest people in New York City!

I lost my wallet containing some cash and my credentials in a bus. B28 going to co-opt city, on Monday, 9/18/17 around 12 noon. I noticed the wallet was missing immediately l got home, so l went back to look for it. I entered another going the opposite direction. I told the operator l lost my wallet in a bus 28, he was kind and patient to me, he directed my to make a complaint to a dispatcher and dropped me off where the dispatcher was stationed.
The dispatcher was equally very kind and patient to me. He placed a call to all the B28, alerting them of the missing wallet. Fortunately for me, the operator of the bus where my wallet was missing responded that he has the wallet!.. someone picked it up and gave it to him!. He had dropped off the passengers and picked up different passengers and still he did not tamper with the cash in my wallet!
I had to wait for him to come back to co-opt city and behold, everything was intact in my wallet! It was unbelievable! The bus is B28 with bus no 4527. The operator is not just kind but also an honest man!
I am sooo grateful for everyone who was involved in getting back my wallet to me- the passenger that picked it up in the first place, the operator of the second bus l enter, who directed me to the dispatcher, the dispatcher himself, and finally the operator of the bus where my wallet was found, and who kept my wallet and it's contents intact! God bless u all!

MTA qm44

There has been no service on the QM44 bus scheduled to depart 3rd Ave and 39th Street at 6:05 pm since May 15th. And there has been no notifications as to why the service has not been provided. This is the last bus of the day from 3rd Ave to Electchester and extremely inconvenient when the MTA fails to provide service and fails to provide any alerts or notification to customers for this massive gap in service.

MTA mta q12 bus driver in flushing, queens

I've never had any issues with MTA workers till this day. I deal with people every single day at work so I know how difficult it could be but sometimes, certain actions are just so unneeded. I was walking on the side walk towards the Q12 bus stop in Queens with groceries in my hand on 3/30/17 when the person in front of me walked so close to me that I got pushed off from the side walk. I literally took two steps, quickly got back on the side walk when I hear multiple LOUD honks behind me. That bus was clearly not even close to where I was, I didn't see it nor did I hear it. It startled me so much that I jumped after getting back on the side walk. I understand if I was walking in the middle of the road or was walking while she was close to me but I was literally right next to the side walk and managed to get back in less than 2 seconds when that outrageous bus driver honked the living hell out of her bus when she wasn't even NEAR ME. When I turned around she obviously was making a commotion with her hands shaking her head and yelling or screaming or whatever. I just looked at her like you serious? Then she managed to drive by, honk again to make a commotion. This was unnecessary behavior, yes she might of been having a bad day and she's tired whatever but that's no reason for her to be so rude and lash out on other people. They need to keep their workers in check do better evaluations or whatever it is that they do.

MTA access a ride

Once again, or twice in one week Access a Ride has failed to provide timely service to me going from Manhattan to Brooklyn. On Saturday, March 18, a cold rainy day, I was due to be picked up 4:30 PM. I waited and waited. I have a hip problem that makes it difficult to stand for any length of time. My ride did not come for another 3/4 of an hour or so. I called and called the main number to no avail. Needless to say I was ready to collapse by then.
Then, just this past Friday, March 24th after going to my Cardiologist, I had a ride scheduled for 5:00 PM at 100 Third Ave. in Manhattan to Brooklyn. Instead I receive a call at 2:03 and 2:04 PM from Empire? saying my ride was near. When I called the main number at 4:00PM, they said I had no ride scheduled. I have, consequently, developed a very bad cold and cough.

MTA out of service bus driver going through central park on 96th street

At 9:34 am this morning 2/27/17 I was driving through Central Park on the 96th Street thoroughfare and everyone knows it's a 2 lane street going into 5th Avenue, but also has a 3rd turning lane at the light. Bus #5947 was in the right lane of the thoroughfare and as I came along his left side in the left lane, he decided to maneuver the bus into both lanes to block me from passing him. When stopped at the red light, I continued to move forward in the left lane and he again, "deliberately", moved his (out of service bus) further into the lane to cut me off. I pulled next to him at 96th Street and Park Avenue and asked what his problem, taking 2 lanes when there wasn't any traffic, or anything causing him to need the space and further more intentionally cutting me off? His response was "#### you, you ####ing ####, I'm MTA, I can do what the #### I want to you!" Mind you, my 16y/o daughter was in the car with me, witnessing this entire scenario! Also, this guy was of Spanish decent!
This was dangerous conduct by a driver that New Yorker's entrust their lives to on a daily basis, with a provoking and racist attitude! This person definitely needs to be removed as a driver for MTA, especially if this is his attitude and behavior!
I would like this complaint reviewed and action taken, also I would like to be informed on the decision made after review! Also, why is the number 511 listed on the bus to call in a complaint at the time of the incident and the number is a none operative number?

MTA ride home

I was running to catch the BxM8 express bus at 52nd and 5th and the bus driver opened the door and yelled at me. He said he doesn't pick people up who run for the bus and he should have run me over to teach me a lesson. He then got physically agitated and began pounding on the steering wheel and reaching into his pockets.

On the way out he refused to give me his name (said he "has no name") and I recorded him while he threw me off the bus.

He also charged me twice, for fun.

BxM8 @ 52nd & 5th 8pm. License plate # 7075

MTA conflict-provoking, rude, unprofessional, probably mentally unstable bus driver

Hello all,
I am reporting a bus driver - male, white, in his 60s, short and somewhat scrawny-looking, speaks good English. The route number is B1. Bus number 5116. Time of incident - 7:30AM-8:09AM. Date of incident - July 18, 2016.
The bus arrived late. The driver kept shutting doors in front of waiting committers, DURING STOPS, while bus was not in motion and was not about to start moving.
The driver constantly used profane and rude language to insult boarding commuters.
He drove exceptionally slow and the bus was constantly and severely behind its schedule.
The driver appeared to be acting aggressively, rudely. He made a clear impression of a mentally-disturbed person. He might have been trying to provoke someone to assault him. This was clear and evident.
Such driver is a disgrace and an obvious liability. He presented danger to the commuters and to himself.
I believe that all the passengers of that bus deserve a refund for their experience. But since it is probably impossible, then firing this driver and referring him to mental health professionals is The Most Urgent Necessity.

MTA bus driver

On april 1st 2016 on bus number 265 i believe ... i was on the b9 bus coming from kings plaza towards bay ridge, at 12:45 p.m. On the b9 between bay parkway and 20th ave. The bus driver hit the breaks hard to not run the light and a lady was standing to get a seat and fell on the bus on the floor unconscious she hit her head on the floor and he kept driving until somebody picked her up from the floor and sat her down she was in pain and the driver did not stop the bus to check on her he just kept on driving and the lady was complaining that her back and her head hurt. i went up to him to ask if he was gonna stop to check on the passenger and the only thing he asked was if she was bleeding and that was his only response so nonchalant and so cold that he dared to say that it was her fault because she was standing. I think it was very unprofessional on his part that he did not even bother to check on this woman and i would like something done about this, i would like you to check your cameras from that day to see what actually happened and how unprofessional he was. Thank you.

MTA bus driver is unsafe, hazardous to other people

On February 29, 2016. Driving on Slauson Ave. (west)crossing La Brea.

I just got cut off by a female bus driver BUS# 108.
license # 1478494.
She cuts me off and i know she saw me because when honked she laughed and flipped me off through the mirror. I got out of the car (on a red Light) to record her and she grabbed my phone through the window. (got it on video).
Also on Video her cursing at me. (I'm not completely free of bad language. In the heat of that moment I did call her the B word, on video also she said my mother is the B word.) being in a really packed street its hard to move to a different lane.
The Bus driver starts playing on purpose. hitting the brakes, out of nowhere stepping on the gas, stepping on the brakes...so on and so on.
half a block down. she stops completely, gets of the bus, while there are people on the bus. gets off and starts writing down my license plate #. She starts talking about she's going to report to the police. I also have her on video doing that..

WTF is wrong with these bus drivers. Just because they drive a big bus doesn't give them the right to drive like they can do what ever they want. Then They act like it was other peoples fault.

MTA nyc mta - access-a-ride - doctor transportation for the physically disabled.

On 10/19/15 I had scheduled a round-trip ride to my Pain Management doctor with Access-A-Ride. I am 49-years old- legally homebound/bed-ridden with THREE diseases causing excruciating pain, fatigue, and weakness but have NO ONE helping me so I'm forced to go to my Pain Management doctor in-person EVERY month to get one pain prescription regardless how excruciating my pain is. I have Hyperthymusism which blocks medication from working right or in most cases they don't work at all. So my pain is NEVER "controlled". I'm also 6'7" tall. My trip was supposed to be direct from my home to the doctor or I'd never make it in time & I've explained to Access-A-Ride that if I'm late my doctor may be gone for the day. They send a private taxi company (the worst drivers you could imagine EVERY time!) 30-MINUTES LATE with an overweight person already in the backseat. The driver is blasting religious sermons on his radio (volume was at least: 6 out of 10). I told the driver I have less than an hour to get from Maspeth, Queens to Bay Ridge, Brooklyn (45-minute trip with absolutely no traffic) and you won't make it on time if you are dropping this other patient off first. He says "no problem, she's only 10-minutes out of the way.". So knowing I had no other choice (if I called another taxi, I'd be waiting a minimum of 20-minutes waiting for them to get at my house) I get in and can barely move with the overweight woman next to me and I need to constantly shift - I have a ruptured disk right above my tailbone (L5-S1) with Fibromyalgia. The driver gets off the BQE at 81st Street, then gets lost trying to find where he needs to drop the woman off (and he had GPS which he had no clue how to work!). By the time he dropped the woman off, it was already my appointment time! I asked him "what happened to the 10-minutes to drop the woman off?". He said "no problem, no problem". Then I had to give him instructions as he took the LOCAL STREETS instead of taking the BQE to 6th Avenue (five blocks from where I needed to go). I get to my doctor a FULL HOUR LATE, and thank goodness my doctor was there. I had to beg him to see me even thought NONE OF THIS WAS MY FAULT! I get home without incident and spent 3-days calling the AAR number and pressing "8" to File a Complaint. I was ON HOLD up to 30-minutes and had to give up each time with a minimum of TEN calls. The next two months I got lucky & had actual Access-A-Ride vehicles (the vans are incredibly uncomfortable, but at least they get there on time). Then on 1/11/16 I had a 12:42 pick-up time for a 2PM appointment. No one shows up by 1:02 so I called AAR and they told me to call the taxi company (Corporate Transportation Ground Transportation). I called and asked for an ETA and was told "within 10-minutes". Three minutes later an obnoxious woman pulls up in a black taxi. I told her she's 23-minutes late & I have to be as far into Brooklyn as you can go by 2PM. She says I have another patient to pick-up first at Elmhurst Hospital, so you'll never get there on time.". I said "this is an EMERGENCY appointment with Pain Management to get a medication that I will die without (I have four ruptured disks in my neck, if I have Methadone withdrawal {21-days of seizure like vomiting} it will paralyze me if it doesn't kill me), so please call your supervisor and get that 2nd pick-up cancelled." She says in a nasty tone "THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS!". She said complain to Access-A-Ride. I said I need to call my doctor, OK? So I called and my doctor's nurse said the doctor is leaving at 2PM (he knew I just needed to go in & out) and the nurse says "ut-oh" when I said my AAR Taxi showed up 23-minutes late and has another patient to pick-up FIRST! So I reiterated saying "my nurse said "ut-oh" because my doctor will be gone at 2:PM. Then the driver says "even if I didn't have to pick-up the other patient, it would be a 45-minute trip.". I said I know that which is what I tell Access-A-Ride EVERY MONTH! So I had to get out of the taxi after spending all morning getting ready in excruciating pain only to have to return Wednesday morning, the next time my doctor could see me. So as soon as I got back in the house I called to tell AAR what happened with the obnoxious driver which AAR took NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ONE BIT. They said "whatever is on the taxi's manifest is out of out control, there's nothing we can do about that.". HOW MUCH MORE UNBELIEVABLY CRAZY CAN THIS GET? Then I tried to schedule my transportation for Wednesday and was told by TWO employees that "The computer is showing you have to wait for a Supervisor to call you back by 7PM." Guess what? NO ONE EVER CALLED ME BACK! Access-A-Ride is the ABSOLUTE WORST! But what are you supposed to do when you are very physically disabled, have no one helping you, & have no extra money? I even tried to sign up for Medicaid Logisticare today (which someone told me is FAR better than Access-A-Ride), then I find out THEY HAVE ME LISTED AS HAVING NO MEDICAID after having a Fair Hearing last month (12/8/15) where both the Judge and the Medicaid Representative said "you have full Medicaid and won't need to reapply until the end of February, 2016.". It's January 11th, so how did I wind up with no Medicaid AGAIN? BTW- the state keeps cancelling Medicaid on people to see if they'll fight to get it back. If you are too sick- too bad YOU DIE!

MTA bus driver closed door in my face and drove off

On 12/17/2015 at approximately 6:10pm, I was walking towards the Bainbridge and Lewis Ave bus stop to catch the B15 towards Woodhull. There were 2 people standing there, I was about less 5 steps away from the stop when I yelled out for the bus man to hold the bus, instead he closed the doors and drove off almost closing my hand in the door. The driver was very disrespectful in driving off because I know he heard me and the lady who got on telling him to hold the bus for the pregnant lady who could not run, but he closed the doors and drove off anyway. I felt that I was totally disrespected by your driver, I'm 7 months pregnant and was unable to run but I was not more than 3 steps away from the bus when he purposely ignored my yelling out for him to hold the bus. I feel that courtesy is due to everyone if your involves dealing with the public. Just like MTA Bus drivers want respect, we also want respect. It was the B15 bus number 7135.

MTA drinking driver

This incident occurred on Monday, November 30, 2015, around 10:25 am, the driver on the M103 route, bus number 5720 was on a layover at 3rd Avenue and East 125 Street. He was arguing with someone on his cellphone. I observed him with a little nip bottle (small container) of alcohol, which he drank. When another bus approached the stop(M98), he pulled out in front of the M98 bus causing an oriental man to jump out of the way to avoid getting run over. The driver flipped the oriental man the finger and drove off. The driver was a black male in his 50's or 60s. I hope that someone gets this guy off of the streets as soon as possible.

MTA mta bus driver

On Nov 4, 2015 at approximately 9;30 am, I boarded the BX9 at W231St and Broadway. The bus made one more stop and then headed into the bus depot where the bus driver parked the bus. I asked the driver what was going on and why he hadn't alerted me to the fact that the last stop was literally, the last stop. His very annoyed response was that I should be paying attention. That I should have read the "last stop" sign posted. There were absolutely no signs posted regarding a last stop. This man failed to do his job. To make sure there are no other passengers before he parks his bus at the depot. When he continued to argue with me about his lack of responsibility, I asked for his name and badge #, which he should have been displaying to begin with. This infuriated him. He refused to give me his information and then called me a ###. The worst thing about all of this is that I am almost sure nothing will happen. And I am almost sure this inept bus driver will pull into the depot with passengers in his bus again and again until someone goes missing or gets hurt. I have attached a photo of the bus driver. Only because he refused to give me his information. When I continued to ask for it and only after I had snapped a photo of him is when he quickly, and I'm sure falsely, said his name was Danny Santana badge# 12345.

MTA line 754 - bus #9566 - time 08:10 (8:10am)

Date of incident is October 29th 2015. I have been riding line 754 for eleven years now. I have never come across a rude bus driver like this one before. I do not like to complain about people because we all have to earn a living. I work in the medical field and I do understand that customer service is very important and can be trying at times. I got on the bus on the intersection of Vermont and Sunset at 8:10am in the morning after work, so I let an elderly woman in front of me. I was barely in when the bus driver closed the door and the door grazed me. I told him, you almost hit me and he did not answer at all, he just basically sped off and I know he heard me because I was right next to him. He just blinked his eyes looking angry. So I went to sit down. When it was time to get off the bus, someone rang the signal to stop and I saw the stop requested but he did not stop. the lady who rang the stop signal went up to him and ask him why he did not stop he argued and said that she did not ring anything. He was still close to the bus stop and he refused to let us out when we asked him. The traffic had stopped and he was close to the bus stop. I was so appalled by his rudeness. I told him that someone did ring the signal and I did see the stop requested sign but he argued that no one did. He continued to drive all the way to Adams and Vermont, when our stop was at Washington and Vermont. I believe that he should be counselled because I have a feeling yesterday was not his first time doing this. He was rude to the lady and myself. Suppose He would have hurt me with the door? Sometimes people do not think about the consequence of their behavior which is a shame. Thank you in advance. My number is [protected]

MTA rude mta bus driver

On Thursday June 11th at 9:15am I got on a Riverdale bound Bx6 Bus (7683-I could be mistaken) in Bronx, NY after waiting 40+ minutes for the bus. During the 40+ minute wait, a bus drove by with the caption "NEXT BUS PLEASE" on the marquee of the bus. When I got on the next bus at 9:15am, the driver was extremely rude. I know that MTA workers work hard and that their responsibilities can be trying at times, however, customer service is necessary when operating the bus. That's just my opinion. Anyway, when the bus was approaching Southern Boulevard (4 stops after I got on the bus) that driver notified patrons that Southern Boulevard would be the last stop on that bus. At this point, I'm am already 20 minutes late for work and I was not near my destination. I voiced to the driver that he should have announced that as people were getting on the already crowed bus instead of allowing them to get on the bus then get off the bus shortly after getting on. He told me there were implications on the side of the bus stating that Southern Boulevard would be the last stop. I replied stating "no one is paying much attention to the side of the bus when they have been waiting 40+ minutes for a bus. Our focus is to actually getting on the bus". He replied by telling me that I need to read. At this point I lost it because he was being rude and disrespectful. I understand that things happen that may cause bus service delays however dealing with a rude bus driver on top of that should never be tolerated. The MTA needs to train their employees with better customer service skills and attitude. Not to mention that the fares for MTA keep increasing while the quality of the service continues to decrease.

I live at 158th and Riverside Drive. There is a BX6 bus stop right outside our back door. I waited August 13 2018 at the stop, which was clearly marked as a BX6 stop. At 10:04 or so a bus came up -- and departed, refusing to take me. That is: the driver would not open the door. He just drove away. I was standing two feet into the street by the bus-stop sign, indicating that I was a passenger who wanted to board. I was left fuming and cursing. Then another bus came. Same thing. He pulled up, refused to open the door, and then slowed down for a stop sign a yard or so towards Broadway. I am 77.5 years of age. Nevertheless I tried to hurry towards the bus, thinking the driver would wait for me. What a silly expectation. As I was running forward this bus, too, pulled away and left. I started screaming and yelling all the four-letter words I knew. I just lost it. I am calling 511 and issuing a formal complaint. Who do they hire as drivers, anyway? These people should lose their jobs.

MTA rude bus driver

I was going to take the bxm11 bus that I take every single day and I ran across the street to catch the bus and the bus driver drove away in front of me leaving me stranded. It was the 5:55 to Wakefield. I understand once they leave the bus stop they can't let you on but this fat nasty miserable driver was still at the stop.

MTA mta bus driver

On my way home from summer school on this date August 7, 2014, I got on the B6 5119, between Brooklyn College and Midwood High school. The bus driver was very rude to the people who were on the bus. He yelled at me after I had submitted my metro card, and tried to kick me off the bus because he felt the need to since he didn't see me submit my metro card in.
The day prior to that, On August 5, 2014, he screamed at an older woman for forgetting to submit her metro card for her youngest granddaughter and refused to move the bus till she did so. Then in that same day, the same bus driver yelled at an elderly woman in a wheel chair because he refused to open the back doors of the bus for her to come In.

MTA bus dont stop

Bus s54 - vehicle #4137 eltingville richmond av
Driver don't stop at stops to pick up passengers and drive over speed. today I was waiting for this bus to go to work after 2.00pm. I was waiting at the bus stop. driver looked at me and didnt stop. he stopped 2 blocks away at red light. so I ran to bus and by the time I gets there, he left. there's always problem when this driver drives. he brakes fast and talks not professional.

SIM22 - I was told that the bus will no longer stop at 43rd and Madison ave when coming into Manhattan as the MTA will eliminate this stop. First this stop is printed all over the new bus route and now they want to remove it ! Please keep this stop its near grand central and I was through the terminal to get to the east side. Since there are no EAST buses anymore ! MTA thinks the EAST side does not exist!
