I am a current resident at Chesapeake Glen Apartments and recently experienced a very disappointing situation with their parking enforcement and lack of follow-up.
My vehicle was towed from visitor parking, resulting in a $390 charge. I parked there because there was no reasonable resident parking available near my unit. My vehicle was registered, insured, operable, and not creating any hazard. I received no warning prior to the tow.
Afterward, I contacted the leasing office and was told there was nothing that could be done except to park on the street or pay for a reserved spot. I was informed that my concerns would be forwarded to the Property Manager, but I never received a response.
The most concerning part is not just the towing cost, but the lack of communication and accountability. Residents should be aware that issues may not be addressed in a timely manner, even after escalation.
I am seeking a fair review of this situation and reimbursement or a rent credit for the towing charge.
