I am writing to formally demand reimbursement for repair work performed at your Midas location on my vehicle that was not properly completed and would have caused further mechanical damage if left uncorrected.
I was charged $3,637.70 for repairs that I was told would resolve the issue with my vehicle. However, the work was either incomplete or improperly performed. The condition of the vehicle after service created the risk of additional future damage and clearly did not correct the underlying problem.
Due to the continued issues, I was forced to take my vehicle to another repair facility. After inspection, the new shop identified deficiencies in the prior work and completed the necessary repairs to properly correct the problem. I paid $1,308.00 out of pocket for these corrective repairs.
As a result, I am requesting:
• A full refund of $3,637.70 for the incomplete and improper repairs performed by Midas
• Reimbursement of $1,308.00 for the corrective work required to fix the problems caused by the prior service
The total amount requested is $4,945.70.
I have retained all invoices, diagnostic documentation, and supporting records from both facilities and will provide them upon request.
I expect a written response within 10 business days of receipt of this letter. If this matter is not resolved promptly, I am prepared to pursue recovery through formal dispute channels, including corporate escalation, consumer protection agencies, and other available remedies.
I would prefer to resolve this matter professionally and without further action, but I expect full reimbursement for the financial loss caused by this situation.
