The yarn department is shrinking and shrinking. I have been using for over two years Impeccable Speckle Loops& Threads in Rose and had only recently purchased. I went back to get more and cannot find it in store or online. Meanwhile you have it in Purple Bark and yellow. Green, Blue and Rose not there.
What is going on? I went to purchase Crafts Smart in Blush online and it wasn't there. the only color lists was Expresso. So, I went to the store itself and there it was and then went back to check it online and the remaining were then listed. Are closing the yarn depart and the store? So, I saw an ad for Michael's Halloween stuff that was only available online. I was pretty excited about it, so I ordered more than $50 worth of items and waited for it to arrive. When the package finally came, it made a tinkling sound, which was weird because I didn't order any bells or anything like that.
When I opened the package, I was super disappointed to find that there was absolutely no packing material. Like, seriously, not even a whisper of it. And of course, everything was shattered. I mean, come on, it's not rocket science to package things for shipping, right?
Anyway, I called customer service to complain, and they were actually really helpful. They said they would resend the package with explicit instructions to use some sort of filler or packing material. They even followed up with a phone call and an email to let me know that the special instructions had been applied.
So, I waited for the new package to arrive, and when it did... well, let's just say I was pretty angry. They had repeated the same mistake and sent me another package with no packing material. And, of course, everything was shattered again. I mean, seriously, are they punking me at this point?
I did end up getting a full refund, but I'm never going to do business with Michael's online again. I really hope someone in the organization reads this and educates the shipping department, because they're definitely hurting the company's bottom line.
Disappointing Customer Service Experience with Michaels Stores for Online Purchase
I recently had an experience with Michaels Stores that left me feeling quite frustrated. My husband had purchased a Circuit machine for me as an anniversary gift, and I was thrilled when it arrived. However, when I tried to install it using YouTube tutorials on three different devices, I couldn't get it to work. Unfortunately, there was no manual included in the box.
After spending hours trying to figure it out, I decided to call customer support for help. The first lady I spoke with hung up on me, which was quite frustrating. I called back four more times, but each time I was given the runaround. I was told that an email would be sent out immediately to return the unused item, or that I had to contact Cricut themselves and go through a series of troubleshooting steps. If those didn't work, I was told I needed to receive a letter from them to return the new, faulty $447.00 machine.
I was appalled by this response. After emailing customer support, I finally received a response from someone who apologized and told me that I had been given the wrong information. With my receipt, I could make the hour-long drive to the closest Michaels store and get a full refund.
When I arrived at the store, the employees were wonderful and very polite. However, I was left feeling very disappointed by my experience with Michaels Stores. I will never make an online purchase from them again due to this very negative experience. I strongly advise caution for anyone buying big-ticket items from them, and if there was a minus star rating, I would give them a minus -*10.
Overall, I was very disappointed with the customer service I received from Michaels Stores. While the employees in the physical store were wonderful, the runaround I received from customer support was unacceptable. I hope that they can improve their customer service in the future to avoid similar negative experiences for other customers.
Disappointing Experience at Michaels Stores: Damaged Products and Poor Customer Service
So, I went to Michaels Stores to pick up my order of 6 large canvases. It was quite a journey for me as I had to drive for 2 hours to get there. Unfortunately, when I got home and opened the package, I found out that 4 of the canvases were badly damaged. I was really disappointed and frustrated because I had to make 2 trips to get all the canvases and now I had to go back again to return the damaged ones.
I called up the store and spoke to a lady named Lilian. She was not very helpful and was quite rude to me. I asked her if there was anything she could do to help me out, but she just put the phone down on me. I couldn't believe it! I was being very polite and calm on the phone, but she just didn't want to listen to me.
I think the canvases must have been stored at the back of the store because they were in such bad condition. I don't think any professional artist would buy canvases with such damage. It was really disappointing to see that Michaels Stores didn't take better care of their products.
I was really shocked by Lilian's behavior. She was supposed to be a manager, but she acted like a child. It was clear that she had some emotional or anger issues. I don't understand how Michaels Stores can employ someone like her. It's really unprofessional and it shows a lack of respect for their customers.
Overall, I was really disappointed with my experience at Michaels Stores. The lack of customer service was really appalling. I don't think I will ever go back to that store again. It's a shame because I used to really like shopping there.

I gotta say, I had a pretty rough experience with Michaels Stores. I ordered some stuff for my 4th of July party way back on June 9th, but it took forever to get everything. The first box I got had a graduation gnome in it, which was definitely not what I ordered. When I called customer service, I had to talk to someone in the Philippines and it was a struggle to get everything sorted out. Eventually, they made a return and sent me a new order, but it took another 5-6 days to get my Uncle Sam gnome.
Then, at the end of June, I finally got the rest of my order. It was supposed to be vases and flowers, but everything was broken! There was no bubble wrap or anything, just breakable items thrown into a box and shipped. I had to call customer service again, and this time I talked to someone else in the Philippines. They were nice enough and made another return and shipment for me, but I asked a few times if I would get everything before the 4th and they said yes every time.
Well, on July 3rd, I still hadn't gotten an email or my package, so I called again. This time, I talked to a man who told me my order had been canceled and I should have gotten an email and a refund. But I didn't get either! So, on the night of the 3rd, I had to go out shopping for decorations because I had nothing for my party. I was so angry and disappointed.
Honestly, I don't think I'll ever order from Michaels again unless I can pick up in store. This whole experience has really turned me off from their store, especially their online shipping. I wish I had taken pictures of all the broken stuff, but the only photo I have is of my Uncle Sam gnome.

I prefer Michael's over Jerry's because it's closer to me and I won't shop at Hobby due to their stance on several society issues. The last few times I went to the Manchester CT and Mansfield CT stores, I had some issues. In Manchester, I went in looking for a product that they were out of stock of. Unfortunately, there was no one on the floor to assist me with my questions. Finally, when I went to the checkout to ask for help, an older woman asked the checkout guy to assist me, but he wandered off to do something else. This was very frustrating and not customer-oriented at all.
Then, I went to Mansfield to get the last product they had in stock - a Cricut Maker 3. Unfortunately, the box was damaged when I purchased it, but I had no idea how bad the damage was inside the box until I got it home. I called the store, infuriated, as the whole machine looked like a bomb had fallen on it. This is a regularly $400+ machine, so I expected better. Unfortunately, no one at the store seemed to care about making the customer happy.
These stores are sadly lacking the support of their base, which are the creators that are supposed to be helping to heal our communities through art! It's sad that we are being treated like everyone else. I hate buying $#*! online, but if that comes to it, I will gladly abandon Michael's and other art places in the future.
Overall, Michael's is a great place to go for all your creative needs. However, they need to work on their customer service and support. Poor Customer Service Experience with Michaels for Price Adjustment Request
I gotta say, I ordered a Christmas tree from Michaels early November and it came about 5 days after that. I was pretty excited to set it up and get into the holiday spirit. But then, a few days after that, I noticed that the price of the tree had dropped from $252 dollars down to $185. That's a pretty significant drop, if you ask me.
Now, like most people, I'm pretty busy with life and I made a note to give Michaels a call for a price adjustment. I finally got around to it a few days later and let me tell you, the customer service rep I spoke to was not very helpful. Their English was pretty rough and they didn't seem to care about my problem at all. They just told me that I was outside of the 7 day policy period for price adjustments.
I tried to explain that it had only been a couple of days and that I could have just as easily brought the tree into the store, returned it, and then re-purchased it at the lower price. But they wouldn't budge. I asked to speak with a manager, but apparently there wasn't one available. I even asked if I could leave my number for the manager to call me back, but they wouldn't do that either. They just insisted that I call back at another time, even though they advised that I would probably get the same response.
Now, I know there are plenty of other places where I could have purchased the tree from, but I chose Michaels and all I wanted was a simple price adjustment. Instead of giving me that, they lost the sale entirely when I returned the tree to a physical location. And let me tell you, I won't hesitate to mention the lack of service and support to others.
I mean, I guess the in-person service was smooth, but that doesn't make up for the terrible customer service I received over the phone. I won't be shopping at Michaels again when I can just order from Amazon with their stellar customer support. Good luck, Michaels.
Michaels Stores' Gift Card and Voucher System Caused Me Frustration and Stress

Lesson learned, I will never make another purchase online from this store again. They seem too greedy and slow with shipping, especially when being shipped locally. Next time, I would rather go to the store personally and hopefully have a more positive experience.
Update: I just saw the same item that I paid $15 for relisted for $8.80. While $15 was supposed to be a doorbuster sale advertised with a discount coupon that wasn't active when I tried using it. I believe it was a fake advertisement to pull customers in.
Overall, I'm not really happy with the experience I had with this online store. It was a bad first impression, and they were unattentive with online customers. I hope they improve their customer service and pricing strategies in the future.

Sakura pigma micron 003 005 black & sepia pack of 4
I picked up the order I bought ahead of time from Michael’s (located at Circle Plaza) today (06/21/23) at about 6:30PM. I discovered when I got home and took everything out of the bag, that the 4 pack of size 003 and 005 Black and Sepia ‘Sakura Pigma Micron Fineliners’, has been previously opened and was taped shut with clear packing tape. I was just going to let it go, even though I feel that I shouldn’t have had to pay full price for something in that condition, but then I opened it up and tried using the black size 003 pen, and it did not work properly. It has obviously been used before and the tip was pushed down, which happens easily with this size because it’s so small. Hence why I have to buy them so often because I go through them quickly, so I was pretty frustrated to find that the pen I needed and bought the pack for, was already ruined before it got to me… it doesn’t even look new, the label is slightly rubbed off, which happens after having them for a week or so, but brand new out of the package the label is perfectly crisp always. I will be attaching pictures of the pen itself, the packaging before I opened it, and a line made with the ruined pen, as well as a line made with the sepia of the same size so you can see the difference between the new pen and ruined pen.
Desired outcome: I would really prefer a replacement because I’m in the middle of a drawing that I need this pen for, but the website had stated that this was the last one in stock, so if that’s the case I suppose I could settle for a refund.

Its about not getting my yarn, I order it May 18, 2023. I think & on May 19 2023 it was at Ocala , with the code ups 1z76211VYW40066157 then it was forward to a new place, under USPS with the tracking number, 92612965080673571066032503. Then they sent it to Dunnellon & send it on with a new address, down to Maimi Beach, which wasn't my, I have tried to track it, & make sure they had the right address in the computer. I even contracted Customer Service Four time, got a service request number so they could follow up with and have the case open up twice now to find it. Customer service
While checking out of Michael's Store #[protected] Commerce Center Dr. Jacksonville, Fl 32225) the employee at the register asked a question and I responded with "yes ma'am" to which the employee responded with "not a ma'am" very rudely. The checking out experience became very awkward. It was certainly no intention of mine to misgender or offend anyone by making a mistake such as this, however I feel that the employee's response could have been more eloquent. A simple "I'm sorry, but that is not my preferred pronoun" would have been more than acceptable.
I do not wish to put my receipt number as I do not want this employee to receive any backlash. We all have bad days, and we all respond rudely. It happens. I just feel the situation could have been handled better. ESPECIALLY since the employee was female presenting and anyone could have made this mistake. I, myself, have been misgendered most of my life but I think the employee's response was not professional in the slightest. Please have conversations with employees about how to handle these situations when they feel they have been misgendered and are offended.
I believe it would be beneficial for employees to wear name tags with preferred pronouns. If your employee felt strongly enough to correct me about their gender identify, then it needs to be advertised in order to avoid confusion or awkward encounters. Trainings should take place on how to respond to customers when they are mistakenly misgendered. It is my hope that this will promote a healthier shopping experience for everyone involved.
My mother got hurt in your store
I need this to go to your CEO my mother was in one of your stores and was using the wheelchair with the basket. The basket slammed down on her leg and made a huge know and bruise. Our lawyer said he could not help us. Her medical bills alone are $5,000. I have a copy of the video from the store where it shows her getting hurt. If you cannot compensate her for this accident we will contact the local news station and air it publicly.
Product with missing parts
I purchased a box set of 16 Posca pens for $54.99 at Store #5123 on Thursday, March 2, 2023. The cashier had to cut off the yellow theft prevention plastic.
When I opened the pens today (Friday, Mar 2) 2 out of 16 pens were missing.
The box was taped shut. So someone returned it - and it was resold without checking if it was viable.
The store is over one hour from my home, which will take a at least 2 hours, and gasoline to return the product.
Desired outcome: Refund complete cost of product. OR... give me the two pens that were missing from the package.
Service at store/time for pickup order

I ordered online. The next morning I went to the store (I had not gotten the ready text) to get the order or wait a bit for it to be filled. Alejandra looked up my number, said not ready yet, person who does that is not in. I asked to help me get the items and I would pay then and cancel the order. She said you don't want to do that.
I went in search of item which was listed as on MAIN AISLE. No one knew where main aisle is. the guy pictured below said kids stuff is in aisles against the wall. I went it wasn't there. I go really loud heading back to Alejandra in frustration for no one knowing their own store or care to actually help me. My granddaughter had a flight to catch where the items were to go with her. At this point I was there for 30 minutes or so. ridiculous. I started wandering again and ranting that someone should know where these items are. I found them but I should not have spent that much time. The man in the pick got mad I was taking his picture I said also that I couldn't just say black guy maybe there is more than one but he wouldn't give name his name. He wouldn't help so I said I was reporting this. Why is there no one to fill the orders first thing in the am? Why did no one know where the main aisle is?
