Meijer handicap carts

As a spouse of someone with limited mobility I find it very annoying and that Meijer Amigo electric riding carts are slow, so few available, in deplorable condition having torn upholstery seats and are maintained so poorly.
After shopping nearly fifty years at Meijer, my husband and I both feel this business has profited more than enough to provide better customer service

Meijer customer service / employee karen k

On September 24th 2019 I received poor customer service from this employee by the name of Karen I was at the self-scan checkout Lanes my computer screen went reading error there was no one in this general area I notice to employees over by the entrance door so I waited it first looked around and did not receive any acknowledgement so I started waving my arms I noticed my red light alert light was blinking so I yelled and asked is there anyone working this area the two employees that was by the entrance looked at me one of the young lady started walking towards this area at that time other red light alert started blinking. Instead of Karen coming to address my problem she made me wait until she corrected the other alerts. So when she finally arrived to me she stated what's your problem I said to her you tell me I'm not an employee here she stated will you were waving and yelling I thought you had a problem I said my problem is this computer and if you were working the area this could have been avoided without me having to yell or wave my arms she said well I'm here now again. I asked her what is your name she did not respond I looked at her name tag and I said your Karen with a K. Now I have been a long a very long loyal customer and I have watched over the years how customer service has dropped turn all Time low and I believe employee training and customer care should be top priority because Meijer and other outlets are taking customer care for granted and it shows through the employees the employees treat customers like we are doing them a favor and that should change it should not be tolerated. You have employees that will gather in a group and gossip about other management scheduling employees their personal lives out in front and aloud where customers can hear. Now Karen she was over there talkin what's a greeter if she had been working her station ensuring good customer service that would help just speed up the time that other customers are waiting. Using the kiosk the self-scan Lanes, many times customers are trying to avoid operated cashier Lanes because of rude mean inconsiderate employees that operate those aisles. Many times we don't even get a thank you as we're leaving that's SAD... So Karen with a k needs to be reprimanded retrained on customer care skills if anything else work the station what area instead of talking two other employees. And one last thing it was a time at Meijer you could ask an employee question while you're shopping and they would be so gladly to help or answer the question but now it's like you're bothering them I had to give you feedback because customer's service is slipping Not only at Meijer but everywhere and we ask the consumer customer we have to speak up and speak out thank you

Meijer misrepresentation of carhart jacket sale

When getting to register and received no per cent off asked clerk attending self check out for assistance.
was told the sign was for lounge ware only. There was no lounge ware on these racks. Asked for more assistance and clerk made sure I was not to receive discount.
Called after getting home to talk to store director. Also
no help. So please do not plan on getting a honest answer at Meijer and always check your receipt as there prices are not correctly posted or stood behind.

Meijer pharmacy department

Today on September 23, 2019 @2:30, I went to the Meijer to get my prescription filled at their pharmacy. Prior to dropping it off I informed the technician Johnathan that I wanted to wait for it. He replied by telling me that the wait time for it was at least 1hr & 30mins because they were behind. I'm a pharmacy tech myself for a different company and the wait time has never been over an hour. A normal wait time is approx. 25min-30min. I'm highly dissatisfied with Meijer pharmacy and I will not ever be returning to get any of my scripts filled. That is ridiculous and no wait time should ever be over 30mins. Meijer pharmacy had 8 technicians working so there's no excuse to why they aren't allowing people to be waiters and are making people wait over an hour.

Meijer inventory and cashiers

1. This location NEVER has shoes for my 12 year old son and 7 year old daughter. It goes from toddler to adult sizes with nothing in between. Really?
2. Pretty much most of the time they are out of stock of the items I buy regularly.
3. Jugs of milk in the coolers just spewing milk everywhere and nobody cared.
4. Cashier opens up another register to move the lines along, picks and chooses who she wants to wait on instead of taking next in line.

It's no wonder I never shopped at Meijer before. This location is conveniently located but inconveniently ill equipped to handle the business.

Meijer blocking cellular telephone services

In violation of FCC regulations this store is blocking cellular service in an effort to force customers on to store owned WiFi. I was unable to make a 911 call from within the store due to the block in place by Meijer. I am filing a complaint with the FCC notifying them of Meijer intentional actions to block cellular service for the purpose of financial gain from customer tracking.

Stop blocking internet service. I hate that and don't want to be forced onto your WIFI. It sucks! I am a loyal customer that spends probably $20k a year but if this doesn't change then I will.

Meijer gas station

Donna who claims to be a mgr was speaking loudly to another employee while I was in the store this morning. She was talking about the girls "girlfriend" and said something along the lines of I dont know why black people think its okay for their "lover" to come in while youre working. The young lady she was speaking with looked like she was about to cry. I understand speaking with your employee to correct an issue but to me this could be taken as sexual harassment by some. Her sexuality had nothing to do with the way she did her job.
I ask if the mgr was available and she said "Im the mgr, can i help you?" I just told her nevermind amd finished my transaction.
Thos poor girl didnt stand up for herself, so I felt compelled to say something.

Meijer service/product availability

Well to make it quick went there wanted 8 sirloins cut, because there were none out there..he said he couldn't because he was there all alone, and then went on to tell me They would be cheaper anyways in a few days..So I waited after my pharmacy scribe was filled went back and a younger man was there now. He cut them for me right away and was so present and respectful. But will never go there again when the older man with mustache is working. Meijer needs to do something about that gentleman, not the same as the Meijer's back in the day.

Meijer denied request for receipt

This morning at 5:41 I made an transaction inside the store for 44$, $20 of that went in fuel. I went outside to pump my fuel and then checked my bags to ensure I had received my receipt; for, I was handling someone elses cash. So upon discovering that the receipt had in fact not been placed in the bag along with the goods I purchased, I walked back inside the store and simply informed the clerks that I had not received my receipt and requested to be provided with one. Upon this request, the store clerk, informed me that he was unable to help me with such, saying that he did not have the knowledge of performing this task on the register and become very unwilling to help me. The store was full of people and with the tone the store clerk took with me, I was left feeling embarrassed. All three registers at the front of the store was occupied by 3 different clerks and the other two clerks did not speak up or offer any kind of assistance with my request. One only added that he as well did not recieve the proper training on the register to possess the know-how of obtaining/ printing reciepts. So, I calmly walked back out to my car and left the premises. All Im requesting now, is that Meijer properly trains thier employees and to review how important great customer service is, especially in the world of convenient stores. Without the customer your business and your clerks jobs would not exist and I believe this should be emplemented to your employees at said location. I under stand it may have been the end of a long shift for your clerks but Its was the start of the day for me.

Meijer no product, lack of help

We shop at meijer in eastgate almost every friday night. I can not believe how many times I wanted a sale item and it was gone. Some items I wanted that was not on sale that seems to sale out fast, but somebody cannot seem to order enough. Meijer purified water is almost always out, larosa's original spagetti sauce, (yes I have found it on some end caps sometimes?) And last week big hole for foldgers instant coffee. Which was not on sale. Also why on the weekend and the first of the month is there only two cashiers? I have more than 20 items and have no desire to go to self check out.
I have been there late evening friday and they are bringing items to floor from truck. Sometimes. Is it necessary to cram the floor with product. And theres nobody to put it up or no way for a customer to get it? Plus they make it seem like us customers are in their way when they are bringing product out. Maybe you need to look at new management. Apparently something is wrong here. And most of your cashiers have the personality of a box. What has happened to customer service? I dont need to be led around by hand, but customer curiosity would be great and product on the floor would make you a few more bucks.

Meijer rotten food

You folks really need to do something about the Cedar Springs Meijer on 17 Mile Rd. Green meat, out of date dairy products, and spoiled produce are the norm in this store. Its disgusting.
The latest, (and what prompted me to finally complain) was a tub of crumbled cauliflower I purchased to make riced vegetables. Day after purchase, I opened my fridge to be hit in the face with the smell of rot. It stunk up my whole house. It must have been on the edge when I brought it home.
Another problem at this store is chronic refusal to schedule enough cashiers. wait times to check out of 45 minutes are common.

Meijer fewer personnel, fewer product choices

I'm not sure you understand why you have had the customer following and loyalty you do at this location. It's been the selection and customer service. Now the restocking of shelves is happening during times of higher shopper attendance instead of during post shopper times.
Selections have been sliced to next to nothing. Example, canned vegetables now has less
Than 1/4 of one side of an aisle. It consists of Del Monte (which I consider the poorest brand) and Meijer brands. With only Meijer having creamed corn. You're driving your loyal customers to Walmart. Also I've noticed management here has run the employee moral into the ground in the last 2 years. I've always interacted with employees and they've always been happy and overly helpful. I may get a "hello" and help but I can feel the store being sucked down. I have friends who have worked here and some who still do. Your management here has subverted the whole leader concept. You have a manager who does not know how to manage. He controls with abusive tactics and obviously hasn't been trained in supervision of personnel. He's erratic and all over the place. He yells and acts poorly for such a senior person. His name is Craig Knapp and he's your biggest moral problem at this location. I'm finally writing because I have always liked this store and I hate to see it being driven into the ground. If this is a company wide change, your going to lose your sector. If it's just this store? Your going to drive your patrons to Walmart. Sad.

Meijer stocking and customer service

I have shopped at this Meijer for years and go to a different store only if necessary. In the past year or so, I have been extremely disappointed to find empty shelves. It doesn't matter which day of the week I visit. I realize that there are sales which will deplete the product stock somewhat, however, extra product should be ordered in anticipation of the sale AND enough employees should be hired to accommodate the stocking needed. I see very few stock personnel working in the store and there is no one to ask if there is any extra product in the back. A manager's job is to make sure the customer can find what they want and have enough of it to purchase. Ordering and staffing is extremely important to your patrons.

In addition, it appears that the delivery people are not informed that there will be special savings so that they can supply the necessary product. I haven't been able to find a single 2 liter bottle of Diet Pepsi Caffeine Free for WEEKS! I've gone from disappointed to very irritated.

My second issue, is that the cashiers rarely say 'thank you'. I don't care if I just visit some store for a pack of gum, the proper words are 'thank you' - not 'here ya go', 'have a good day', 'bye now', 'here's your change', etc. If a cashier is particularly remiss in attending to me (lack of eye contact, surly attitude or making me feel as if I'm bothering them and they can't wait to get out of there), I will pointedly say 'You're Welcome' and they (especially the younger ones) seem to be befuddled, or will even repeat the 'You're welcome' right back to me! Usually, there are customers behind me so I don't want to take up their time by trying to teach some manners and customer service to the employee, so I shake my head and just move on. On the other hand, when a cashier gives me a thank you, I will thank THEM for their thank you and give them a compliment. It is also the manager's responsibility to train their employees... that is if they wish to keep their customers.

Meijer Cranberry soda pop and meijer soups

I have not been able to purchase Meijer brand chicken noodle or tomato soup in several weeks to months. Recently I have not been able to get regular cranberry soda pop in almost a month. Like to know why. I could understand if it was another brand but come on it's your own brand. This is not the first time in several years.
The shelves of many items on sale can't be found this includes the first day.

Meijer customer service

Went to the store to take advantage of the buy 10 get 1 free dollar ad.
Got my products plus a lot more. Checked out and saw that one item was 2.19.
Went to service desk, she was so snippy. Instead of giving me another free vegetable. She just refunded my money. So I lost the vegetable and my free item.
Was so upset I went and checked the sign, said 1.
Got manager, when we went up to service desk, she rolled her eyes at him as if I was a bother.
Very unhappy!

Don't leave the desk until it's settled, ask to talk to the manager if your not satisfied how it was settled.

Meijer staff

I have shopped at this location for a long time and have seen and been helped by an employee there multiple times but now I see the same employee being utterly racist on social media and I am very offended. I am black and gay and I feel victimized by her words. She hasn't always been the nicest to me but I always chalked it up to being tired. But now I realize she was discriminating against me every time. I feel that it is not right for her to be working in such a public area where customer service is key. I will spread the word until she no longer works there.

Don't be such a nazi! People can have opinions that don't identify with your own. That's part of living in a free country. I am very religious myself and have views you may not agree with. I also work in customer service and I couldn't give a flying rose about someone's lifestyle; I'm just there to serve customers and not dig into their personal life and choices.

Just a side note; I originally read that the employee was nice to you, but re-read and saw that she wasn't. I think these matters are better addressed to the store (speaking directly to a manager), as opposed to doxing.

Meijer meijer is going downhill.

What is wrong with you? Not only have you reconfigured the grocery department, but now your restocking the shelves in the middle of the day. Many times the items that may be on sale aren't stocked, but a lot of the items I shop are discontinued. Now your putting cashiers on the floor with no training, and no experience.

I think I'll do more of my shopping at VG's or Kroger.

Meijer poorly stocked areas

I am a faithful and usually happy Meijer customer but lately I've noticed many areas throughout the store with empty shelves. Specifically the dairy/milk area, health and beauty aides area, the baking isle. Most of the non-perishable sections are OK with stock people actively working. But, the milk cooler is often empty of the milk I need and no noticeable restocking happening, no employees available to help, this is the case time after time. This is very frustrating. Kroger, Target and Wal-Mart are just down the road!

Meijer Photos

So I was using the kiosks at Meijer. The guy at the photos was really controlling. He basically took a hold of my phoneand started looking through my pictures and galleries without my consent. I told him I would be ankle to figure it out how to use it. He just hovered around. I felt so uncomfortable because I have pictures of my bikini and he just make it so awkward. All he could've said was "you pick the pictures and make sure it's in the camera folder" that's all. That was terrible experience. Definitely won't be going to print photos at Meijer anymore! I will be calling meijer Allen Park to make sure they know howuncomfortable that is and disrespectful and invasion of privacy.

Meijer aisles full of stock to be put up

I shop mid-morning during the week. The aisles in the Meijer Store are always blocked because clerks are putting up stock. I know some of this has to happen, but I would think that the majority of items are put up at night when the Store is not crowded. I am a faithful Meijer shopper because the prices are good and I like using M-perks, but I dread shopping when I can't get my cart down the aisle. Please do reshelving at night.
