The megabus company lost my luggage, containing my laptop, clothes, shoes and a text book which I burrowed from the library. As a full time student with little money, you can imagine how devastating it is to loose my laptop, in addition I now have to reimburse the library for their textbook which is over $80.

I had to call their customer service 6 times in one day just to get help, since I was put into voicemail a couple of times and left on perpetual hold on others an hang up on on others.in the end I was told that they checked and my bag was not on the bus so there was nothing they could do. When I asked if I could check it myself I was told that the bus was in the shop and there did not know when it would come out. This bus company is really horrible, this is my second unpleasant encounter with them. How am a supposed to function without my laptop or books! Don't use them!

HOW TO GET LOST LUGGAGE: go to https://www.coachusa.com/contact find local company and contact them, get luggage back within a day!

Megabus lost my luggage containing $1300 worth of items. Won't reimburse me for anything. I think it's time for some action.

My son - travelled from Los Angeles to San Jose Tuesday, November 20, 2018. When he arrived his luggage was not there. It was a green suitcase with speakers, new clothing and a box of cookies. We have submitted forms, called and as of today his luggage has not surfaced. I would advise not putting luggage below in the Megabus as they do not check to see who the luggage belongs to. If anybody has any information regarding this suitcase, which has a nametag on it, I would very much appreciate you posting a response.

Just this passed Friday, October 12th, 2018, I took a megabus from NYC to Philadelphia, when I arrived to the 30th street stop, my luggage was not in the pile of unloaded luggage for the stop. I searched the street and asked the person responsible for unloading if they saw a gray dufflebag. Of course, nothing. I even searched the inside of the storage cabin. These guys are thieves and it seems like it isn't the first time something has been stolen going to or from Philadelphia..

I lost my sleep apnea machine with 800 dollars in jewelry.I had just got off the bus and realized that they didn’t give me my bag back and when I went to get it the bus driver drove away.I called customer service right away and they told me that they will check and see if my bag was there and then they called me back 25 minuets later and told me they had my bag.I had to pay a taxi 40 dollars to drive me to pick it up for them to show me a different bag.They have the nerve to tell me they can’t do anything.From the beginning I should of known that the mega bus ride will suck.The bus showed up 20 minuets late, then it was dirty with trash everywhere, I had a problem with another passenger because they were in my seat that I paid for, the rest room was so dirty and smelled so bad.The ride back home was the same thing, never again.Now I’m taking them to court for my belongings..

I recently booked a coach journey from London Victoria to Newquay departing on 21st July 2017 at 11:30pm. I boarded the coach with my friends and my luggage was put into the bus.
When I arrived at Newquay on the Saturday morning, I was saddened to find that my luggage was not on the bus. I informed the bus driver of this and was responded in a rude manner. I was on holiday and had nothing with me. I was crying. I tried endless of times trying to call thier head office on the phone number that driver provided me but had no answer. The bus driver said my suitcase is in their headoffice after he rang them and would be dropped off at the coach station that evening at 8pm.I waited until 10pm and no bus turned up.
I was so upset. I was on holiday but had nothing with me. I also rang to Mega bus company lost and property department on Saturday 22nd July 2017 which charged me 10p per every minutes. They told me they will do inquiry and call me on Monday 24th July 2017 morning. I was waiting for their call whole morning but nobody rang me. Then I rang myself and spoke with Daniel. He said it will take 22 to 28 days which makes me very very upset. Their custome care is very aweful. I am still waiting for my luggage. I dont understand driver said my luggage is in their headoffice but they are saying to me it will take 28 days to findout. it sounds dodgy to me.

Megabus, LOST my luggage and has not taken any responsibilty. I sent emails 3 times to lostandfound@couchusa.com. still haven't got responsibilty. Is 12 days now! My permanent resident/GC, important papers, included clothes, jewelry, shoes, sunglasses, eyeglasses, tablet, Ipod, Ipad, pursues, scarves, flash drive 128 GB with all the photos which i traveled in outside Texas, etc. ALL had valuables. There is an id tag label with my name and address and phone number I put on my luggage. The customer services who i assured to call me back, no call back.. Hang up on me! Your employment (unloader/porter) said MegaBus don't required the customer IDs for travelling with your bus. He said didn't make sense for asking ID from MegaBus customer. From there I assume he was telling me, if you lose your luggage, so be it. I replied to him, that was terrible, how in the world you didn't match your customers with their baggage? NO wonder, there are so many illegals could travel here freely because there is no requirement for your customers to provide ID. IF there is such a requirement and have them to put identification tags on each of their luggage, my suitcase won't be lost because you have to match your customers with their own luggage before they receive and take theirs! Another important thing about matching their luggage with your customer by Putting identification tag on each bag/luggage, is like my case. It will help and might be easily track if a customer mistaken get somebody else's suitcase. Your company can track it down from your system and look their name and address up from identification tag on it you could have contacted the owner and do investigation he or she might take my suitcase instead!
I had report case from police. I will post to all social media and take action Until you take responsibilty for the loss of my luggage. Your policy is unfortunate for those who have lost luggage. And you NEED to compensate me!

My sister and I purchase 4tickets 4weeks in advance 2 disable and 2cargivers to make a long story short they sold use bogus tickets for our return trip. the tickets were for the 11:30pm bus to Memphis by 11:40 I ask about the 11:30 bus to Memphis we were told the last bus to Memphis was at nine..told us that we need to call customer service dept.they acted unconcern about the this problem.. They had 4 weeks to contact us about bogus ticket ..they did not.. MEGABUS SELLS BOGUS TICKETS TO UNEXPECTING CUSTOMERS

My son arrived at 6:30 am for a Megabus that was leaving at 7 am. The bus driver told him that he could not get on the bus and that all the kids going to Amherst and Hartford would have to wait for a bus that would arrive in 45 minutes. The busses were clearly over sold. An hour and a half later no bus. Customer Service claimed the original bus had 23 seats open and that the kids had missed the bus. They could have cared less what I had to say. Another Customer Service agent said a bus was on the way. Conflicting information that was causing a lot of stress, since these kids were standing in the cold in Burlington and parents weren't sure who to believe. Finally, a bus showed up at 9 am!

I had to take the bus one time July 24, 2015 Tampa to Orlando Florida at 6:35pm Uhhh, never, again. Since I got inside the bus a septic tanks stinks followed us all the way to Orlando, it was terrible, enough with the experience.

I also had my luggage stolen in Philadelphia on Megabus in October, and I bought an extra ticket just for the bag! They have been stringing me along asking for more and more silly things (receipts for clothes in the bag, really?) when it is clear that they did not care about me getting my bag back. There was nothing of value to anyone else, but I was in the US to deal with the estate of my late mother and her medical records were in the bag (and before you say it, I had a stack 10" of legal documents, and a laptop in my carry-on already.) It cost me$750 in legal fees alone to replace them. They have been nothing but unhelpful with my claim.

Megabus has also lost my luggage. I put it on the bus in Philadelphia and it wasn't on the bus in Buffalo. And, yes, getting in contact with a human being from this company is almost impossible. Thank you very much for the contact info you provided - better than the info provided by the megabus employee. I now understand what I'm paying for when I take greyhound versus megabus - employees who put my luggage on and take my luggage off the bus (as opposed to passengers who are impatient to get their things and go), a customer service kiosk in the bus station (there isn't one in buffalo, so you literally have no one to speak to if you have a problem). I have been taking greyhound for 20 years and this never happened to me. I will never take megabus again.
