mcafee home computer protection
In 2009 I bought on line a one year protection for my new computer, I am not a big computer user so I wasn't going to get more cover when the year had elapsed. I used an old credit card to pay for the product, so it wasn't a card I needed to keep a check on. Over the years I have made small transactions on this card, and have paid a set amount each month I recently checked a statement and found the balance hadn't gone down as much as I had expected? I enquired about this and was told that I was subscribing to an annual cover for my computer? This is not what I purchased back in 2009? Could someone please explain to me how this happened

antivirus software
McAfee anti virus came with a laptop I bought for my daughter in 2010 when she went to college. An account was created with McAfee in her name, and my credit card was billed. She subsequently recieved AV software as part of a package provided by her school, and had no need for McAfee, and we have been attempting to cancel the billing for 8 years. They have been sending auto renew updates to a dead email account, and no matter what evidence we have showing we tried to cancel, they will only cancel within 60 days of the notice. Contact with AMEX is useless, because AMEX points to the McAfee Terms of Service regarding auto renew policies, and will not stop passing the billing through even if you close your AMEX account. This appears to be legal under US law, but is clearly a type of internet fraud.
total protection.
I recently purchased McAffee Total Protection. When I tried to install it, it got so far then stopped. I then phoned the helpline. After a lengthy conversation I was told that my IP had been hacked in Japan and they could resolve the issue for £299. So, I couldn't finish the download till this sum was paid. I spoke with my ISP and there was no evidence on the line that it had been hacked. Nor unusual activity in banking or anywhere else.
Fortunately I got a refund on this product, but McAffee need to look into the practices of their support team. Where does the £299 go? McAffee or the support centre?
I will be surprised if McAffee respond as looking at the customer reviews on Amazon this is a common experience. Surely everyones computer can't be hacked or full of viruses!

Sorry to hear that. "I then phoned the helpline. After a lengthy conversation I was told that my IP had been hacked in Japan and they could resolve the issue for £299."
How did you find the helpline? If you searched the helpline from internet, you might got a fake line just want to rip you off.
"I then phoned the helpline. After a lengthy conversation I was told that my IP had been hacked in Japan and they could resolve the issue for £299." I am guessing you might phone the wrong line - a faked McAfee support number for fishing people like you.
By the way, I am not from Mcafee team.

unethical behavior from your support service
I purchased the McAfee product this summer from Office Max. I entered the 25 digit product key to actavate the program. I started getting messages that my product was about to expire. I ented the key in again. I got a message that they product key was entered properly and accepted, but there was a error code and I had to call the service number for assistance., which I did. He then opened up
the chat line after I explained to him what was happening. He then got into the computer and expalined that McAfee was fine, I had a botnet and needed net fireware security. He then proced to tell me that I needed to purchase a product and put up the price list. I told him I did not like anyone inside my computer as I have been told many times that is a security issue. He then got very nasty and told me if I did not like them inside my computer I am not to call them again. I told them AcAfee told me to call to activate my key code. I told him I did not want to install a program, I felt more comfortable buying a disc and installing it myself. He then again told me to never call them again. I quickly got out of the McAfee website and turned off the computer. I am not sure how you can run a business like this and treat a customer who has used your product for many, many years. I will go out an buy another program and at this point I am very disapointed in your product and your support from your customer service.

refund.
Requested a refund last tuesday. They said it would take 5 working days. I made that call on the 8th of october. Then on the 9th the money was refunded and immediately taken back out. Just rang up again and told me to wait for a phone call of a supervisor 24/48 working hours. So now having to wait a lot longer for the money I am owed. Crap and unorganised service that was provided. Am I ever going to get my money back? Really not happy at all, legal action will be taken if this continues really had enough now.
about virus protection
October 15, 2019 I cannot understand that you continue charging me for protecting my computer against the virus when this was already done back in June 28, 2019, and I was charged $43.29, to renew it. How can I make you understand that I have already done my renewal protection. Please answer me at the following email address: [protected]@outlook.com or call me at the following number: [protected] and let me know what's going on. It agravates me every time I try getting into my computer and I cannot do it right away. My computer is very slow on account of not having any virus protection. What is it that I have to do? I don't want to answer any question for fear that I am not getting the right person or that someone is trying to get some cr... to block my using this computer. Answer soon.
product code entered at sign up, subscription not in use
Bought McAfee subscription for 60€, entered the code right after creating the account, now it says that the trial is expiring, even though I've entered the activation code right after signing up for the service. I, of course threw out the Product Key after I thought I was done with it (it did say the code was activated, guess not?) 60€ down the drain, customer support web pages give an "Error 400" and help is now where to be found. Absolutely unprofessional, don't know where to even get a refund or any help whatsoever!
mcafee total protection-3 devices. £24.99. credit card payment.
I purchased McAfee Antivirus Software 03/10/2019, it would appear I have a Virus on my email Account, every time I send an email, the person who receives that email, claims I have sent them a Virus? [protected]@sky.com It would appear my complaint is to SHORT? does McAfee want me to carry on with my Complaint? should I cancel my subscription? ask for a Refund? If I don't get answers in the Next 24 Hours, I will cancel my subscription. William Durham. I have taken a copy of this message.

I now want all payments refunded to me that mcafee have ever taken from me the last payment was taken without my authority as the subscription was cancelled over the phone on 23 aug yes August I then called on 23 sep and again was promised a refund for the payment that was then taken plus 6 months of payments I am still awaiting this. Your call handlers do not know what they are doing
Rubbish service
sale of virus protection
I am the owner of Success College Counseling.
I very much resented the email solicitation to renew my one year virus protection plan for $69.99 or $109.99. I then called two different mcafee reps who quoted me two different, lower prices in response to my question about why I would not simply purchase Mcafee through Amazon.
Why are your prices not standardized, and why, as a customer, did you try to sell me a product for $40 more than I was able to pay? Why was I not offered the lower price from the get go?
anti virus
I've had an amount of £89.99 taken from my account, I don't use the service and have tried to cancel before! I have not used that computer for over 3 years and I've paid every year. Please cancel my subscription. And refund the money
I can't see anywhere I can cancel the subscription and I'm not sure why it would still be active, it's a lot of money to be deducted and surely I should be able to opt out of the product . The screen shot shows the deduction from my account

payment for this year and last year
I have had a payment come out of my bank account for this year and last year.
Last year I had been very ill and I was not using the laptop which I originally purchased it for. Of course this meant I gave you a payment for your product which I did not use.
Because of illness I forgot to contact you.
Again the same thing has happened this year and when I went onto my bank account I can't see how to cancel it
As I'm a pensioner this is a lot of money for me to loose.
Can you advise me how I can reclaim and stop this payment.

defunct account which I am still being charged
I appear to be being charged for an account that I cancelled years ago. I have only just noticed that this has been happening and have contacted my bank to block any further payments to yourselves.
My problem is that it was so long ago I could not possibly tell you when I cancelled, only that I did as I no longer have a computer and have not had for at least 3 to 4 years as I have no need for one.
Having searched bank statements it seems i created an account with you on 12 October 2013 at 29.99 pounds and over the years that payment has increased.
I value what little money I earn and fortunately for you i have lapsed in my observations that gradual increase in charge. I would like some kind of reimbursement as in my defence i have had no communications from you either.
The account may have been in the name of Ann Kilty, my maiden name. Email of [protected]@gmail.com (which is still operational).
My name and address have changed also as I moved and got married 2 years ago.
Eagerly awaiting your response.

unauthorised payment
This is my FOURTH email regarding this matter, no one is bothering to reply to me.
On the 19th of August I had an £89 payment taken from my bank account without my permission, I have written three times to get this money refunded and no one is replying. I want that payment refunded asap.
I understand that there was a box ticked to automatically renew the subscription but I no idea about that box eas there or knew that it was ticked until a payment had been taken. I never want automatic payments to be taken, I will pay for the item myself when it is needed.
mcafee 1 year total protection antivirus
Purchased from Argos yesterday. As instructed tried to activate account on line. Entering my details and 25 digit code. Wouldn't accept it. Used online help chat for guidance on the mcafee website, and was then advised that my network had trojans and would be required to pay money to have them removed. I believe this was a scam.
I then phoned mcafee customer help line and was told that my email address and 25 digit code didn't match what they had on the system?
A process that should only take 2 mins has caused me a full night of stress and still no activation for my £40 purchase.
Please look into this as it has happened to others.

antivirus expired before the time period
Earlier one month, I renewed my mcafee account for one year but it is expired now.
And it is shows that, it is expired on 9/3/2019. I am so angry from this act.
Resolve this problem if you can not resolve it than return my money which I have paid on the renewal. Resolve this problem as soon as you can.
Resolve this problem or return my money then I will switch my security account.
mcafee auto enrollment
On 15th July 2019 McAfee took £69.99 from my credit card account without my authorisation. Reference on my credit card bill 0800-028-7581IRL.
My computer is no longer protected by McAfee.
Please immediately refund the £69.99 and cancel any further payments from me to yourselves.
Please confirm to me that you have complied to my request.
Thank you.
antivirus auto-renewal not requested
To whom it may concern,
For the second year running McAfee has taken £89.99 out of my Bank account for auto-renewal for my antivirus software which I hand not requested or authorised.
Last year when I was refunded I stated that I did not want the auto-renewal actioned and adjusted the software settings to that affect but still McAfee have ignored my request and have taken £89.99 out of my account again.
The payment came out of my PayPal account and I wish to be fully reimbursed £89.99 which was taken out of my account without my consent.
Regards
Chris Thomas
livesafe auto renewal
Last year you managed to steal £69.99 form me by taking an auto renewal on the product I had already renewed in advance to take advantage of an offer. My repeated email com plaints were ignored. I cancelled the auto renewal, I assumed on all products. This year I was emailed to say the renewal of the first was due in August. I resolved never to purchase anything from MaAfee again and purchased an antivirus elswehere. I then received several emails and warning to say the auto renewal could not be taken, which was fine and I uninstalled it. Imagine my fury when today, with no advance warning, I am informed you have taken another £69.99 from me to renew last year's fraudulent renewal, which doesn't even expire for another month.
The order number is CS2417266680.
Needless to say I want a refund.
