[protected]@C bid discount in Gastonia, NC is nothing but trash! First time I bought off there, went picked up my item, brought it home, plugged it in and wouldn't even power on and I was without $70.00 . Called their help line to be told they don't have to test anything before selling it and they don't offer refunds. Another item I bought, I was charged 3 times, when I went up there to confront them, they said they would refund they other charges that came out.. 2 days later, it should my refund being processed in my bank account AS they took out another $28.74 when I hadn't even purchased anything. I tried signing in my account for 2 days and couldn't sign in so I sent email to them to see if issues with website and they told me I had been PERMANENTLY BANNED,for having multiple accounts and unpaid invoices. When you sign up you have to put a debit card in their site to even bid, so there is no way to even have unpaid invoices and I've only had 1 account.
I don't care that I can no longer bid on their JUNK, but what I do care is they continue to take money out of my bank account when I hadn't purchased anything else nor did I get my refund.
Recommendation: Don't waste your time with such shady ass people
It's the warehouse in Bessemer City, NC not Gastonia
Love this place
This place is awesome! I have found some awesome deals from here. A $700 dishwasher for under $200, A hot tub for $200, and numerous other items. You do have to do your research and inspect the items. Become a member and you get 1 free return a month. And the returns carry over month to month. In fact I very seldom use my free return. The staff at Butler is second to none. Big shout out to Jerrod, jayson, and Mike. They are always more then helpful. Tip these guys for helping.

Intentionally misleading pictures/ descriptions (Spartanburg)
The site states that they categorize items into three categories. Like new, open box and damaged. Occasionally they will flag items as partial as well. I purchased an ice cream machine that listed open box stating the only problem was “missing jar”. After purchasing the item it’s clear by the pictures they posted that they were trying to conceal the actual damage to the unit. the unit it was very damaged with a completely stripped out spindle where the jar was missing. The employee saw the condition and angled the pictures where the damage could not be seen. (From the top).
The customer service was not helpful and told me open box and damaged can be interchangeable as terms and buyer bears all the risk. Best practice, don’t buy or bid on any open box if you are unable to go look at the item first. They will intentionally hide defects and mislead descriptions.
Scam
I bought a sweeper. It had model number. But was not the model number I got. They use other pictures from on line not the real item picture. If the box has one good side that’s what you see. Not the crushed flat sides of the boxes. They are only out to take your money and sell a lot of things that was garbage ready. They can only burn so many people before they will have no business. As you se on Amazon the sell used with a warrantee. So if they won’t do that it tells you something. Plus some of the people are just plain rude if you ask a simple question.
Recommendation: Stay away. Your better off buying from yard sales or people online
You can go view the product before bidding. I find that to be a good idea unless you only spend a couple of dollars on the item. I think most people understand most of these are not new, or like new, and may be missing something.
I as well agree with the other customers on this site
I as well agree with the other customers on this site. I purchased some items and when I ask for help to locate one of them from an employee, I got a nasty reply so I spoke with the office about this issue, I was told they would handle it. The manager/office personal said they would *** the item as missing and issue me a refund if the item wasn't found. I went back down to pick up some others items I purchased and when I spoke with the office again they claimed the item was abandoned. I happen to see the man I talked to before and he acted dumb founded because I called him out on the issue and then the next thing I got an email stating my refund would take about 2 weeks. I was checking out with my items and next thing I know my account was suspended and I got treated like a criminal. Not a very professional business at all, when its ok to call the customer names.
They done me the same way after I confronted them about my issue, they permanently banned my account! I guess they do that to the ones that catch on to their shadiness!
I love mac bids/ discount...i use the *** location ...the people are always so nice and *** is ALWAYS so helpful and polite...he even helps me to the car when i have a lot of stuff...*** and i think his name is *** - he does the transfers - never complain when they have to help me find things...thank you so much
TERRIBLE. Bought a 3 piece patio set. No legs for one of the chairs. Bought a keurig and nothing in the box except padding. Big rip off. Save your time and money!
Yes some furniture may be missing legs or have other defects. However, this is completely resolved if you go look at the item before you bid. It’s one of the things I like about the auctions.
I left a factual (but in their words "bad") review and they banned my account. I realize they have the right to choose who they want to do business with. However, their reason is appalling.
How hard is it to plug a item into an outlet to see if it even works?
I am a frequent [protected]@c and maintain a monthly membership
I am a frequent [protected]@c and maintain a monthly membership. I have purchased many, many items and only had to return 2 in all my purchases and neither were the fault of [protected]@C. The staff is very nice at our pick up center. That being said, I recently won a child's play tool bench through turbo auction. I paid for shipping from the location. I received a Laptop table NOT the tool bench. I reached out to customer service and *** advised to take it to a manager, which I did. The manager said they couldn't prove it came from [protected]@C and would not accept it. (Plain shipping label which is exactly the same as the one on the previous play mat I won and had shipped.) I reached back out to *** because I want the tool.bench I won for my grandson. I was advised there was nothing further that could be done. I would recommend being cautious about having items shipped for this reason.

I absolutely love Mac discount in ***! Everyone is always so nice and very helpful! Definitely would recommend!
M@c bid sold me a half recliner chair. Box 2 of 2, also a open box Air fryer. Damaged but did not say Damaged, wrapped in Florida today news paper dated August 3, 2022. I got this last week February 7th 2023. Greasy, instructions greasy. Dent on side all the products with grease. It s stated open box. It did not come, in its original box. Some one should put a stop to them selling used products like this when we have all these viruses out here. I have photos. I spent a lot with them. Some were opened in original box in very good condition. This Air fryer do not work. I live in Akron, it was wrapped in Florida paper.
There is an easy fix to your problem….go look at the item before bidding. These are not brand new items and many are returns where the item was used. It’s better to understand what you are bidding on before you bid.
Everytime I come its Easy and fast. Friendly staff, always willing to help
Long story short I have had 1/10 luck with this business
Long story short I have had 1/10 luck with this business. I have received multiple useless items(missing parts) that I have spent hundreds of dollars on.I bought a package that said missing one box open the other boxes and its missing the only part that puts it together. The other box was irrelevant that was missing. Then I bought the same bench another day in hopes of getting the part, that bench was missing the screws. Then they wouldnt let me keep the only part I actually needed and said theyll put it back on the site for someone else to buy? What the actual h*** is that? Had assurance this time. Bought a table that I said didnt seem like it was as big as the box was. Was told they repackage things. Get home and its a completely different table. Absolute joke of a business and unless you buy the assurance DO NOT BUY ANYTHING. All of this was at the *** location.

We agreed to a term of open box, not boxes with missing parts and missing hardware! I cannot believe m@C customer representative has inductance to point it out too terms and conditions as they are missing from the start!
The only reason this place is exist is to distribute unwanted garbage from BIG Box retailer like Amazon, Walmart, and to create place of employment for drug addicts to drive unemployment rate down!
This place should be shut down long time ago!
Not worth the savings as the items are *** with issues or are already broken.
Hmmm….I have bought several items with no issue. Bought a 52” ceiling fan for $1 and the only thing missing was the globe which I’m glad it didn’t have. I am able to get get one that I actually like and still at a much cheaper price than I would have ever gotten in the store. People give Mac Discount bad reviews because they understand what these auctions are, they don’t go look at the item before bidding and complain when parts are missing when it states some pieces are missing.
False advertisement! Then once pointed out they wont refund! Pathetic!
Products are not described properly
Products are not described properly. Damage to product is almost always present. They want you to check to conduction before bidding, but include a condition that is normally always incorrect. Most product is either missing pieces, broken, or not the same product as shown in the listing. In my opinion, if you bid on something that is listed as like new, you should not have to worry about damage. From my experience, this company has went downhill once it got popular. Low hiring wages and poor customer service has taken its toll on its overall operations. It is only a matter of time until a lawsuit or other legal action is taken. This has turned into one of the largest scams in the area. I have had my credit card company get my money back multiple times due to incorrect listings and damage. Do not waste your money or time. Buy new at a reputable company with quality systems in place and proper customer service/management.

Scam you buy insurance so you don't get beat. They keep the insurance money and sell the damage product again over and over what a rack!
Buyer beware. I purchased furnace air filters from M@C Bid. The photos that were posted on the M@C site said that they were the Filtrete brand. My bid was the winning bid. When I went to pick them up, I opened the boxes and discovered they were Amazon ***. Amazon *** are 1/2 inch smaller in height and width and depth. I told the person at M@C warehouse that this was false advertising. His response was the the buyer is informed to come look at any product before bidding on it. He said they use stock photos since these were not Filtrete brand, as their photo had shown. As stated in other reviews, they kept my insurance money and will now put the filters back up for sale using the wrong stock photo. Scam!
Absolutely horrible, items stated as open box are severely damaged and/or have pieces missing. If it is an open box they should be able to look at the item and describe it correctly. Out of 5 item I bought today, 4 of them are completely unusable due to damage or major parts missing. I am afraid to open the 5th item. I will NEVER go there again. My bids are OVER!
This is just not so.
Bid on and won a Masterbuilt smoker for $143 and change
Bid on and won a Masterbuilt smoker for $143 and change. Product was never listed as damaged or anything. Picked up the sealed/taped box from the warehouse and brought it home. In opening the box, I realized I just bought a box of scrap metal. This thing is JUNK! Hinges are broken off, inside of the unit appears to have been used for batting practice, outside of unit look likes it rolled down a hill. This is pathetic! I am deleting this App from my phone. NEVER again will I use this store or recommend anyone else use it. Unless you are into paying for someone else's JUNK, don't bid on anything from this store! You could get higher quality products if you went dumpster diving or scanned neighborhoods on garbage night. In this economy right now, everyone is looking to try and save some money. This App and store is NOT the way, just wasting your money!I also rated this with zero stars as it definitely earned that but in submitting a zero star rating I was informed I had to give it at least one for the review to submit. Insult to injury.

Buyer could have easily bought the insurance and returned. There is a reason these items are discounted…they aren’t new and many have been used and returned to the big box store from which it came.

on 9/20 , through my granddaughter, I purchased a *** Homechef 4in1 microwave convection oven with air fryer capability. My husband and I had gone to inspect it on 9/17, as is recommended. We dragged it to the power source indicated by warehouse employee, unboxed it and plugged it in. "Welcome to ***" streamed across the display, so we reboxed it and returned it to the floor and I gave our granddaughter the go ahead to bid for us. We picked up our win with the help of her dad who was picking up items for her. When we set it up at home, "welcome... streamed ,but when we tried to *** something we got an error code (H97) that indicates the unit is unusable and potentially dangerous. I know the [protected]@C rules but want to tell others to not only inspect ,but use the electronics they're bidding on so they don't get burned like us. Take it out of box, look for all parts. Don't just plug it in, use it! If it's a microwave take some popcorn and don't let them tell not to use it -they say it's your job to inspect, so they must let you ! Good luck and buyer beware !

Buyer could have tried setting up while inspecting and should have done so. This is all on the buyer.

We have purchased quite a few items from this company and at first, I was pretty impressed with the quality of goods for the price and knowing they were returns, but after about a month, the quality really took a turn. Things are not accurately described. We have no issue trying to repair some light damage or owning something second hand, but a lot of our recent purchases just stated "open box" and were missing several important parts, were HEAVILY USED, or SEVERELY damaged. A few of the items were so damaged that they never even made it into the house. We took them right out to the trash. Buying and reselling return items is huge trend right now, and we have purchased items from several similar companies, but this one is the biggest *** of all the companies we've used. They do encourage customers to come inspect items and offer buyers insurance for items you are unsure of, but those are both extra expenses and still doesn't address the issue that many of the listings that claim open box should clearly be listed as damaged. We've since moved on to other companies that take the extra time to more accurately describe the items their auctioning off.

This company is a scam
This company is a scam. I purchased an open box item. Reading 2.5 of there fraudulent terms and conditions I understand what open box means. However, the business didnt list the condition of the contents. Then they told me about a buyers assurance program that costs even more money to be able to inspect the item. The item was listed open box, therefore it still should be usable or easy to replace missing part. This item was damaged and unable to be used. The second item (bid at the same time) I retracted from and will not pay for it because I feel, given my first experience and that of others it will be missing or damaged. Customers, beware of what you do with this business. They easily prey on the consumer and bully you and make empty threats to force you into continue your purchase. Read the fine print and be aware of scams. If you go to the warehouse, prepare for rude nasty people and a disaster of a warehouse. Looks like an episode of hoarders took place there. Bottom line is, you want cheap prices for usable items go to *** or another auction site. If you want items for parts, go here. If you need to waste time and want to force this business to close, report a complaint against their license. Be cautious, be aware, dont use.

K. Roob it costs absolutely NOTHING to inspect an item before bidding.

It's not surprising that there are a handful of disinfranchised individuals who bid and won items that they later found to have missing parts or be defective. But at the same time, they didn't bother to read the disclaimers or personally inspect the item they were bidding on. I think [protected]@C's is a blessing for those looking for significant savings on generally new merchandise, especially in the current economic climate. It's really not fair that the overall rating is one star which is based on a rather small percentage of disgruntled buyers who clearly neglected to do a little research before bidding. Needless to say, there are thousands of devoted repeat bidders/customers at the various locations who likely won't purchase select merchandise from anywhere else. Of course there are items that are sold as used, defective, or missing parts because there are those who still find value in new, but slightly damaged or gently used items that they can buy cheap and repair for themselves. But also, the vast majority of listed items are genuinely brand new, and it's rare that any potential defect issues are not listed by the team of inspectors who diligently process numerous items every day. Just do a little research before you bid, and you'll likely never feel the need to wait for box store "sales" to avoid paying full retail again!

I would not recommend [protected]@C Discount to anyone
I would not recommend [protected]@C Discount to anyone. We got some items that were fine, and we had others which were not satisfactory. For example won a "Like New" Westinghouse Generator that would only stay running for one minute out of the box. We then had to drive 90 miles each way to get it repaired at an authorized Westinghouse repair shop (wires were found pulled out of a buried connector in a wiring harness). We then won multiple lots of Honey Maid Honey Graham Crackers at the Washington location. We found that we were shorted multiple boxes in one lot, and note that ironically the [protected]@C personnel on-site all happened to be eating graham crackers walking around the store that day (maybe it was just a coincidence). We then won a Greenworks Cultivator at the Butler location, and we won/purchased some other smaller items to help make the long trip worthwhile. We then drove two hours to find that they had mistakenly placed the cultivator lot number on a Greenworks Snowblower. The sad thing is they were NOT at all interested in looking for the cultivator or checking to see if the lot numbers (cultivator & snowblower) had been transposed. Also, not that there was no apology or empathy. In fact...we were told that "if you don't like it, then get the $%&out of my store". This shows a total lack of problem solving ability, people skills, and professionalism. Note that they did refund my money for cultivator, but they also cancelled my account (so juvenile).

DO NOT BUY FROM [protected]@CBid, They misrepresent items
DO NOT BUY FROM [protected]@CBid, They misrepresent items. They give you products that don't match the photos. The stuff is garbage, and they are becoming rich taking advantage of people. I have purchased several things from them, getting suckered in by the nice photos and dirt cheap prices. I bought a mirror advertised as 28x36 when I picked it up it was actually 20 x 28. They should invest in a tape measure and at least make sure the box is reasonably close to the correct size. I could tell immediately that the mirror was no where near the size advertised. I bought "open boxed" sheets that were soaked in urine. I can't even explain how disgusting that was... I bought a French door that was pictured as still in the box. When I picked it up, it was not in a box and was in about 20 pieces. None of the "pieces" were shown in the photo. There is NO WAY that the person listing the door didn't see that it was in pieces and it should have been marked "Damaged". They say you can preview the items, but I have tried and it is near impossible. No one will help you find stuff and the aisles are not lettered or numbered. I walked up and down every aisle twice, looking for a couch I was bidding on and it was no where to be found. It must have been in the section marked "employees only". Boxes are tapped shut and unless you rip the tape and open the box, you can not inspect what is inside. The customer service link on their website doesn't work and the employees just stand there not knowing what to do when you ask them for help

Before an incident last week this would have been without a doubt a five star review
Before an incident last week this would have been without a doubt a five star review. I understand the premise of their business. I have got some great deals I have got some junk. It was my fault for not taking the time to go in and look at the item beforehand. With that, I spent just shy of $2,000 with this company this year. I had a horrid experience with one of their employees at the Butler location. To say I was upset would be an understatement. He was rude beyond belief. I know of other people that have quit going to this location because of this same employee. With that, I try to not be to judgmental as I know good help is hard to find. Not to mention he may have been having a bad day etc. With that, I called twice and asked for a manager. I left my contact information twice. I was assured both times that a manager would call back as soon as they could. I didn't expect any favors but as a loyal customer that spent a rather large sum with the business in the course of the year I thought I was owed at least a return call. The employee threatened to suspend my account that the manager would "have his back." Since I haven't even got a return phone call I went ahead and deleted my account. Its unfortunate to support a business and then be treated to poorly by one person it gives the entire company a bad image. But when a manager won't call back to discuss not much left to do. For those of you that leave bad reviews about items you get- learn the process. Be fair, leave fair reviews, they have it posted all over the place to go and look at items.

We have purchased many items from this company in the last year since their Butler location opened and honestly this place is complete dump
We have purchased many items from this company in the last year since their Butler location opened and honestly this place is complete dump. I get that this is a part of their "low overhead" business model but the Butler location often smelled incredibly bad. Also the staff that "work" there are incredibly unhelpful when you are having difficulty finding your items. The final straw was when we missed the pickup date and we tried to contact them to let them know we were not abandoning the items we won in auction to see if there was any way to not lose them. We emailed in the evening and My wife went to the location as soon as it opened and spoke with a manager there who said he would like to help but the items were already scanned in so they had been re-listed. if you search the complaints this seems to be their go to response when this happens. I know the response will be " These are the terms of the auction you agreed too" but to not have any ability to make an exception seems like a poor business practice to me. Being completely unwilling to make an exception to the "terms" seems like part of their business model is to hope people can't make the pickup and so the company can keep people's money. I could see if we had let a day go by but our items were left in their location for about 10 hours. This seems like the easy answer would be to make an exception and keep the customer happy but it seems like this business would rather play a gotcha game with people and keep their money. Lesson learned, I will never do business with this company again. Hope the $100 was worth it.

M. Spinka when you placed the bid you knew you had three days to pick up or you could have paid a small fee to have the items put on hold. This is solely on you and nothing to do with Mac.
This business is a scam
This business is a scam. They are reselling items that customers have returned (mostly, to Amazon), for various reasons, but mostly because the items DO NOT WORK. I've purchased several items from this establishment that have included the Amazon return paperwork stating why the item was being returned, and more times than not, it was because the item was defective. This establishment is reselling known broken merchandise without testing the items or divulging such information. I'm pretty sure they'll respond to this complaint with their usual response and policy of, "you are allowed to inspect the items before purchase." Sure, am I allowed to plug them in and test all of the item's functionality? I doubt it. I'm pretty sure the other part of the response will be, "You can purchase 'insurance' that entitles you to return an item up to 5 days after pickup.'" This establishment should be testing every item and noting the results on the testing accordingly. I know the response will be, "We receive 100's of items a day, we can't test EVERY item, but we do inspect them, blah blah blah." -- I call BS. Read on as to why I call BS. Additionally, this establishment has various categories for noting an item's condition. Items that are clearly damaged are listed as "open box" instead of "damaged" because they know no one will bid on a damaged item. So there are multiple levels of scamming or "gross misrepresentation and negligence" going on here: 1) Items that are clearly defective have been intercepted from being returned to Amazon or another big box store, or the manufacturer of the item, and are being sold as untested "open box" items. 2) Items that are clearly damaged are being sold as "open box" instead of as "damaged". Buyer beware and avoid!

This company doesn't even deserve one star!
This company doesn't even deserve one star! I have bought many items from this auction making sure that the products are listed as "like new" or "opened box". Never anything listed as "damaged" or "missing items" for very good reason! Needless to say every product I have gotten except for 2 comforters have gone straight in the trash due to being damaged and/or having missing parts! I got a tv stand and when I opened the box the only thing that was in the box was the slats that was for nothing more than decorative pieces and two of those were broken. No screws either. What am I supposed to do with that? NOWHERE did it say there were missing parts or damaged parts. NOWHERE! I bought an item that keeps the blankets up off your legs in bed. The poles were so damaged there was no way to get it together and the clips were busted up. AGAIN, NOWHERE did it say it was damaged. I bought two windchimes for my kids that lost their dad a couple months ago. Went to pick them up but their system was down and unable to get the items at that time. Then was told later that I missed out bcuz I didn't pick them up. No product but they sure kept my money! Wasn't my fault the system was down and no one contacted me! Thats just a few complaints I have! These ppl are no better than THIEVES and SCAMMERS! They are NOT being truthful about the products they are selling and they make it difficult to get in contact with someone via phone or email. Then you're pretty much laughed at when you do get someone. Told you should read the description before bidding. Well if they aren't being honest about the JUNK in the description then that makes the description a dn joke! How is this business still in business!? I HAD friends & family members that were purchasing items too. Come to find out the majority of items they've purchased were JUNK as well. How can I start a company that can get by by selling trash to customers? This inquiring mind wants to know!

Waterfilter
Yesterday, picked up a $600 "open box" water filter. The filter was obviously used and abused with water stains throughout. Luckily, I purchased the "insurance" and got my bid money back, but the $10 insurance money was not reimbursed. Their site list products as "like new", "open box", and "damaged". I have purchased several items in the past as well without insurance listed as "open box" without insurance and was stuck with clearly damaged, unusable items that could not be repaired. The dictionary defines "open box" as "Pertaining to a product sold by merchants at a discount, because the item was returned but found not to be defective" I would like the better business bureau to require Macbid to inspect items and list them accordingly.

Website: merch repetition within online shopping
The app / website shows multiple listings of the same item (more than 3, 4, 5 of each). This makes it extremely difficult to tell just how many of an item are ACTUALLY being offered in each auction.
It seems like there is a glitch in the coding so that items are repeatedly represented (unnecessarily) or that the items’ represented by repetition is meant to beef up inventory, making it look like there’s all the more items to bid on.
This makes shopping on your site quite frustrating because one has to keep track of too many items for sale and it created confusion about what’s been seemingly, bid on, and/ or available.
Yes, I know that sometimes there are more than one of an exact item being sold at the same time. This seems to be just gross misrepresentation.
Please make it STOP.
Claimed loss: My time.
Desired outcome: Show only one auction item for each particular item available.

Yonanas machine purchased 8/30
I purchased this item as an open box item. It should've been tagged under the damaged items. The whole mechanism where you add the attachments was pushed inside of the machine. I tried to reach in to try to pull it out and there was still a banana from the previous user. So disgusting! Does anyone even look at these items before posting them? I also wa...

Back on December 2 I went in to pick up my item I purchased. I had just filed a fraudulent charge on my debit card 2 days prior and did not realize that my item wasn't paid for. When I went to pick up my item I assumed it was already paid for, the lady who scanned it said "no problem just go in the office to pay." When I got into the office the lady I spoke with said "you can pay now." As soon as I swiped my card I realized that was not the correct amount. I asked her why the amount was different and she stated "there is a $25 fee." I explained my situation a second time to her and she was very unprofessional about the situation. The lady in the office did not once mentioned the $25 fee before I paid. I did NOT pick up my item that day (December 2) but the company had marked it as picked up. So now I essentially did not get my item, and paid $25 more on top of that for an item I still don't have. I have been a customer since early 2020 when they were just starting to gain popularity. The people I have always spoken to about issues have always been very nice up until they started gaining more popularity. In addition, they have suspended my account for filing a chargeback so I am not even allowed to log in.

I have experienced this issue multiple times with this company. I have also heard from many others they were also experiencing the same issues as I. I decided to leave the following review online as my personal opinion and to caution others who may be new to this company. I stand behind my review 100%. I believe they are taking advantage of consumers. My issue stems from their "Open Box" policy. To me, Open Box should mean the item could have a cosmetic defect or missing things like proper packaging and/or directions but the item could still be able to be used for its intended purpose. I believe this company takes their interpretation of this policy too far but repeatedly selling products as "Open Box" that are missing more than 50% of their pieces rendering the items completely useless and NOT noting "damaged" or "missing pieces" in the description. My Google Review: "This whole company has turned into a major scam from how it was when they first started. They literally just throw junk with half of everything missing into a box and sell it. When you get the item it is completely unusable and worthless. They used to be more understanding and return it. Now they just use the open box excuse. They don't even take the time to inspect the items anymore to make notes on the post that parts are missing. It's a total SCAM. Honestly, I don't think this company will stay in business long term." Only hours after leaving this review, I attempted to log onto my account to view the other items that I have already PAID for so I could pick them up today and be done with this company completely. I found that I was not able to access my account. I called their customer service number. The woman on the phone told me I was "deceived for leaving a bad review online." I explained to her that I had other items I still needed to pick up that I already paid for. She said I no longer could go get my items and she hinted that I might be refunded but I have no email explaining any of this.
I bought a boat inflatable tube from them as an "open box" item. When I brought I home and inflated, it had a small hole and would not hold air. I called customer service to return and they said I should have bought the insurance. I told them it should have been marked as "damaged" since a tube that doesn't hold air is useless. They claim I should have inspected item at warehouse. I feel they are using dishonest business practices, should not be going on in the US. So I payed $39 for a tube that doesn't hold air. They are negligent. Thanks.
Bought a shower base with said open box so we knew it might have a scratch but this is unusable damage. And they don't give refunds on these items unless I pay for a fee. But this is damaged and un repairable because it will leak and cause water damage in the bathroom. Was not. Listed as damage or I would have not bought it. I would like a refund.
In Jan. 2022 I attempted to log into my account with no success
In Jan. 2022 I attempted to log into my account with no success. I then contacted the scarce customer support and after several emails I was told that my account was suspended for Facebook comments that I made in Aug. 2021. The comments that were made by me were about a $200 Treadmill that I bought in August with no indication of damage and when I picked the treadmill up after a 2 hour drive one way it was strapped down to a pallet facedown. When I returned home, unstrapped the treadmill and turned over it was completely smashed. I then contacted them and the person that responded to my Facebook message for customer service was very rude and basically told me too bad and that they try their best to mark items as damaged. I advised them that they failed and was told "TOO BAD". I then posted a comment on Facebook about my experience with a purchase and customer service. So when he told me my account was suspended and could be reinstated if I remove the comments and pay a $25 fee. I just find it crazy that my account was suspended after 5 months of me making to comments. I have purchased several items since then. I believe that this is [protected]@C's way to extort money from their customers who complain and I believe that this was wrong! I advised them that I will no remove my comments because they are true an I stand by them 100%!

This company is very shady! They charged me 65 dollars to hold items I've already purchased and then "abandoned" 2 of my items anyway to resell to someone else! They do not want to help you or see you get anything for good deal on fact it's quite the opposite. I'm actually going to file a lawsuit against them for fraud. Please get this company closed down! Times are tough for so many right now and we don't have funds to deal with shady thieves..
I tried to pay for my auction item but there was an issue with their card processing system. I called my bank, all was fine with my card. I spoke with someone at the business who said to delete Mt card and add it again which I attempted but could not do because it wouldn't allow me to do so. The rep was rude, and offered no other assistance. I will never buy from them again.
I purchased an item that was labeled "open box"
I purchased an item that was labeled "open box". I also understand that "open box" also means a piece may be missing. With that, I will continue. When I picked up the item, I opened the item and noticed that it was not complete. As for inspecting the item, the item was completely wrapped in plastic and bubble wrap which made it impossible to fully visibly inspect the item. I argued that this item should not have been labeled "open box", it should have been labeled partial as it only came with one piece of what looked like to be about 9 pieces. How can someone sell something and label it as an open box item when its literally one piece of numerous pieces, when they also have a "partial" and "damaged" option they display on numerous items. In theory, this thought process would allow this company to sell a full size Ford pickup truck as an open box item and then give you the oil filter and tell you that it does say its missing a piece. When I spoke to the manager, I was asked if I was a member and when I said no, he said "Tough luck bro". When I called customer service, they informed me that they can't do anything and the manager has final say. I've purchased a lot of items from this sight and understand the risks, but this particular transaction was absolutely misleading and could have been resolved but I was brushed aside and dismissed.

I purchased 2 sets of recip saw blades via auction. When I bid on the items UPS shipping was available for a nominal fee. After I won the 2 items via auction they would no longer honor the shipping option. I sent an email and called the help line. I spoke to Matt and he said he needed to speak to a manager about the issue, when I asked if I could speak to the manager he said no. If I transfer you to the manager they will fire me. After a follow up phone call and me sending the email that states shipping was an option Matt sent me a text saying they will not ship the items and I could not get a refund. I am very disappointed in the lack of service by the management staff.
Bid on a vacuum at the Boardman location that was NOT listed as damaged or broken. Took it home and it doesn't work at all, completely useless and a waste of money. Went to the warehouse and was basically informed there was nothing they could do and I'm SOL. So mac bid gets to keep all your money while KNOWINGLY selling you garbage. This company is run by greedy scammers who don't care about their customer base. All they want is MONEY. They will cover their butts with their TOS. So you know what the best solution to that is? DONT PURCHASE FROM MAC BID! Don't support this scamming company! The owner comes on here and responds by telling people to "not rant online" LOL. Isn't that what reviews are for? Are we not allowed to be angry that we essentially paid for broken merchandise without any possibility of getting our money back? Anyone who tells you to not be mad that you got scammed is someone you dont want to be doing business with. GREEDY, SCAMMERS! Don't support this greedy company!
Re: Auction held @ Pgh
Re: Auction held @ Pgh. Mills location ending Feb.14, 2022. There were several space heaters listed of various brands, types and quality. On Feb. 17 I picked up what I thought was a Lasko ceramic heater that I purchased for $19.37. It was packed (NOT ORIGINAL BOX) in a box large enough to hold 6 heaters. Upon getting it home I realized it was actually a TaoTronics lower end fan heater that had sold at that auction for $8. I figured a simple mistake by [protected]@c employees that could easily be rectified. After all this was my 8th purchase this year and I have been happy with my previous experiences and I thought that at the least I would get store credit. Nope. Turns out that without the huge box it came in they would not return it. I had my receipt and even a photo of their inventory that showed they were selling the heater they inadvertently gave me. No where are there signs posted that state you must have that yellow sticker for a return. It seems to me a better system would be to put that yellow inventory sticker on the actual item being sold. It was suggested by the Manager that there was a possibility that I was trying to scam them by driving all the way to Pgh. Mills and give them a working heater so that I could score a cool $19.37 for my troubles. Really? It strikes me as illogical that according to store policy that if I had had the box I could have put ANYTHING in it and returned it with no problem. I strongly feel that a Refund or Store credit is in order.

I purchased an air conditioner listed as 10,000 BTU, worth $530 with dimensions of 21.5" X 19" X 14.5". I got a 5,000 BTU unit worth $191, with dimension of 16" X 13" x 12". I purchased another air conditioner of 18,000 BTU listed as open box. The unit was physically damaged; parts inside rattled when picked up and when the unit was turned on, it wobbled so bad it almost fell off the table. I purchased a dehumidifier that, when turned on it, gave an error code and does not collect any water. These purchases cost me $450 for broken and deceptively advertised items. The discount place states they are not responsible for mismarked items. Mismarked items or deceptive advertising? This is a racquet.
I purchased several item during April
I purchased several item during April. Two of these items were transfers from the Butler location. A few others were transfers from other locations. The items being transferred from Butler were not showing up, I received other transfers well after this purchase yet these items from Butler did not arrive. I emailed [protected]@cBid to inquire about them. I figured there was a glitch in the system or something got missed because they were not coming. I waited a few days and never received a response to my email. I filed a chargeback as [protected]@cBid would not respond and the items weren't coming. After I finally received the items I canceled the chargeback. Only to find out that [protected]@cBid has suspended my membership that I paid $29.99 for. When I called I was told that it would be cleared if I emailed them proof it was cancelled. I did and they still won't reinstate my membership, nor will they refund the membership that they cancelled. I know their reply to this will be something like: Our position is that if a bidder is so unhappy that they reach out to the credit card company and are willing to provide misleading details, that bidder will never be a happy customer. We like Happy Customers. We do suspend the account because this type of behavior is suspicious at best, and fraudulent at worst. It seems to be the best policy to just discontinue the business relationship rather than allow bidders to take merchandise without paying for it. I provided completely accurate information. This company will cancel your account and not refund your money and tell you it's your problem. The customer service is abysmal.

I won several auctions on December 3rd just like any other day and I emailed them in the morning of December 4th and asked them to process $198 of my invoice on one of my bank cards (I have three on filewith them) and informed them I would be paying the rest in cash which I have done on a couple other occasions when need be. Nowhere and their policy or on any of their pages have I seen that they do not accept cash it says they're preferred method of payment is by card, and I have paid by cash a couple other times as I said. And I have seen other customers pay by cash. Well the owner emailed me back at 2:03 p.m. and the email said they could not be splitting payments between cash and card and when I had the money all on one card to email them and let them know and they would proceed with payment, then at 2:18 p.m. they emailed me again and this email said that he processed two of my payments on the card I had asked him to process one and inform me of my remaining balance and stated that I could pay the balance by card which was their preferred payment or by cash in person. When I went to pick my items up I took a different credit card with me to pay the remaining balance since they did not prefer cash well there was only one employee that was capable of taking a payment I had all of my items loaded onto a dolly and they scan all of the items out before you leave well they could not scan my items out all of them because some of them weren't paid for and when I asked a particular employee if he could please take my payment when he got a minute so that the other employees could scan me out as I had already been there for quite a while standing around, this particular employee screamed across the whole Warehouse embarrassing me and said " oh come on now *** you are not freaking special" embarrassing me in front of all the other customers, it was very unprofessional was not necessary and I never got an apology. This employee's name is Thaddeus .. oh and I will add that you have the option of either standing in line when you arrive and wait for an employee to get your items or you can get a little dolly and go get your own items to make it faster when I first arrived I was standing near the line looking at my cell phone to see which items I needed to pick up so that I knew what direction to head in for my items, and this same employee which I see on a daily basis when I go into there establishment once again his name is Thaddeus was coming out with another customers cart of items seeing me standing there and looked at me and said you can go get your own *** Now just because I normally get my own items or maybe I wanted them to get them for me on this particular day but either way there was no reason for him to say that to me as a paying customer... It should not matter first of all how I'm paying my invoice if I have to pay it between multiple cards that should not be an issue as long as I'm paying my invoice like I have never missed a payment I had an abandoned item nothing my money is just scattered out between multiple bank cards and the owner says it's too much work for him to have to run multiple cards well I feel that is his job and if it is something he don't want to do then maybe he needs to add that in his description or policy that you can only have one type of payment on your account and definitely get some people that's not so rude to his paying customers.. thank you..
Used, dirty, non working, smelly, with defects and missing parts not open box items. All went to the trash. Over $100 scammed
Products are not open box neither inspected. No refund, BUYER BEWARE
I bought a tankless water heater. It quit working almost immediately and the manufacturer informed me that the unit had 6,000 hours. Maybe I should've known that they sell used/returned/non-functioning items. But this was wrapped and packaged like new. BEWARE! Never buy products that have no value as "used" items, like appliances etc.
I placed a bid for 1 dollar and won. I'm about to go pic up my item. It's in my town about 5 mins away from my home .. Super simple and super convenient! Highly recommend using M@C!
What a waste garbage store.
Other peoples used junk.
do not waste your time.
