Mathis Brothers Furniture Lazy boy chair

Around October, 2019, I purchased a Lazy Boy Chair from Mathis Bros in Indio. Last week I noticed on the headrest, the dark brown leather color is worn away in one spot and is now a light tan color. I called Mathis Bros this morning and the lady said I have a five-year furniture protection program, so she transferred me to the customer service. They transferred me to the complaint department, but I was on hold so long that I decided to go on line to see if I could file a complaint here. Mathis Brothers Furniture Custom sectional

I paid almost 4000.00 for a custom sectional and they told me if I bought the extended warrenty it covers everything, so I go to get something fixed on it and they have switched warrenty companys and refuse to fix! The fabric is fading in different spots, the back cushions won't stay firm and in place, and the middle cushion were no one sits is wrinkling!

Mathis Brothers Furniture Couch, Chair, Ottoman, 6 pillows-customer

I ordered these almost 6 months ago. I was told 8-12 weeks but probably sooner. For the ENTIRE time I have been sitting on a rug because I have no furniture. I am not sure if it will even arrive 1st week of February now. I have made complaints all the way up to corporate office and did not hear a word back from corporate. When I placed my order, we were well into the corona virus. Mathis Brothers keeps pushing off my order saying it is the holidays or corona virus and now on backorder. Nothing I ordered was on back order. NOTHING! Mathis Brothers allowed their manufacturing to mishandle my order. What is worse is they are wasting my time and the sales person time on the floor. My sales girl was excellent and she spent a lot of time with me. She does not even get paid until the order is delivery. Sitting on a carpet for 6 months is unacceptable, is hard on my back, makes it difficult to do work, and is a real mental challenger. For being such a large company, they really do not have it together on the custom orders and do not care about your time or the time of their sales people. Before I make an official complain to the Better Business Bureau I thought I would start here.

Desired outcome: I want my furniture! I also want reimbursement for the delivery and apart of the product because Mathis Bros is not meeting their end of the contract.

Mathis Brothers Furniture Oversized ottoman

We paid for our item in July, expecting it the beginning of August and it is the middle of October and we have yet to receive it or even receive an apology phone call. Every time I call I get a new arrival date. I call after the date that the item is supposed to be in and it continues to be pushed out further and further. Not a single apology, just excuses that they're backed up. Unacceptable.

Mathis Brothers Furniture Outsourcing phone reps. to India

Today, October 10, 2020, I went to Mathis Brothers' website, selected an Ashly bookcase to order, and called your number to order. It was evident that I was speaking to a male in India whites quite common now. I placed my order and told your Rep that I wanted to use my Mathis brothers charge card. He told me that the card was only good for inshore purchases. I then provided him with my Chase Visa information. Thirty minutes later, I received a text from Chase that twenty fraudulent charges had been made in India for some sort of food services. The charges were made directly following me placing my order with your Rep in India. My card has now been cancelled and i have to wait for a new card to be shipped to me. I spoke with the fraud Department at Chase and they believe it highly likely that your Rep. used my card information fraudulently. They are continuing the investigation.
Mathis brothers has always prided themselves with excellent customer service. I hope that you will investigate on your end.

Mathis Brothers Furniture Getting the professional runaround from mathis

I wish I had come to this site before my purchase and read all of the one star reviews. I cannot believe this company has the nerve to continue to treat customers with such disrespect.
I am a recent widow who purchased a new couch for sentimental reasons after my husband passed away on our old couch. Now, I have been waiting for a couch from mb for 2 1/2 months. Every time I call for an update, they give me a different delivery date and a different person who is my "sales manager." every time, they promise a certain date and every time that date comes and goes without anyone contacting me. This is very frustrating as I got rid of my old couch when they promised the first delivery date, and now my family and I have nothing in that spot as we get yanked around time and time again.
How do they think it is ok to take my money, not deliver an item, never give me an update until I call, then lie about it, and never offer a resolution of some sort of compensation for this treatment?!?
In the meantime, we have purchased other furniture for bedrooms and mathis has lost out on a lot of business from us. All of those items were purchased after the couch and all have been delivered and are in use. If they could only be honest and reputable and offer something other than lies, they would have had our additional business and I would not be inclined to go all over the internet and tell everyone about our horrible experience. I plan to go to many more sites to share while we wait for some action on this situation.
Rit mathis has some nerve running constant ads with his face guaranteeing quality and service. He should be embarrassed of his company by now. As I said, while reading the reviews here, I can see that I am not alone in theses feelings. Shameful!

Mathis Brothers Furniture Sectional couch

I bought a sectional couch in january of 2019, and I bought the extended protection plan for the couch. Was never told by the salesman or anyone that there where exclusion on the warranty about factory seams. Now june 5, 2020 I noticed a seam separations and filed a claim on sunday june 6, 2020. Was denied repair june 10, 2020 because it was a seam rip and that is not covered under the extend warranty. Tried to call and talk to someone about and was told no, because I signed the warranty papers electronically. I did that in the store but no one ever gave me a copy of the papers or told me it had exclusion on it. The salesman that sold the couch to us told us the warranty cover any kind of rip or tear no matter what. Well I guess he lied just like everyone at this store. Please do not waste you time with these people they are crooks and do not stand behind any of the products. This couch is only a year and 5 months, the seams should not be separating now.

Mathis Brothers Furniture Your Company Charged me Twice

Date Ordered: 4/15/20 Order, Order Number: [protected]

I order 2 recliners online the total price after taxes and Delv. was 799.00
You tried to charge my bank 883.44 So I called and got that fixed, price was change to 792.93 and you charged my bank on 4/16/20. Then this morning 4/17/2020 I get a bank notice of low balance. I look online and now you have charged my bank account 792.93 again, which leaves me no money in my bank account.
I called customer service and all they could do is send an email to your accounting department. I guess your accountants DO NOT have phones.
SO now I have to wait for someone to look at an email.
I Will not buy from your company again. You take peoples money and then give them the run around, when YOU do something wrong.

Money was put back in my account. What makes me more upset is that the accounting department did not call me. They just told the customer service person to email me and tell me what had happened. So they make the customer service the go between for issues. Because they are to good to call the customer them selves. I still will never go back to buy anything from there store or online. They do not think Customers deserve personal attention. It all just threw Emails.

Mathis Brothers Furniture Pillow

I just typed all this on another PAGE! It switched to a computer technician page, for crying outloud.
My daughter was here, visiting with my dying daughter-in-law and my birthday just happened to fall in that time-frame, as well. She was SO excited to find me a special pillow...one like I would probably NEVER buy myself. It was a fine pillow, but I carefully tried it and decided it was too "thin". She had given me a receipt for exchange, but not return" I was told that I had 30 days to "get it right". On my way to my daughter-in-law's bedside, I stopped in at the store in Moore. I was, of course, in a hurry. I knew I wanted "thicker", and also found that I wanted one designed for a side-sleeper. I paid the #30+ difference, picked out a "3", and hurried on. I knew I was still within my 30 days. After my daughter-in-law passed, I got out the pillow. Oh my goodness! It was WAY too thick. I definitely needed a "2". However, when I went to the store in Norman, the salesman sitting at the desk, nonchalantly told me "I'd had only one opportunity to exchange." He would listen no further and was not at all interested in helping me out. (This young man was not eager to make a sale or to help me. Seemed to be biding time, while the other gentleman was making a sale. This young man had no compassion or "far-sightedness", for you see, I had already resolved to buy ALL my family members one of these new pillows for Christmas.)

I still have both receipts and am still within my 30 days. Are you SURE that no one is willing to work with me on this?

Mathis Brothers Furniture sales/customer service

My wife and I purchased the M3 mattress and asked several questions about the return policy and who to talk to if there was ever an issue. I have exhausted all my avenues. We exchanged coils in hope for better sleep and no luck there. We have called to start the exchange or refund part of the deal and was told that we can not exchange or get refunded cause that is the only mattress in the store that does not have the 365 guarantee. So I was lied to by the salesperson when I was asking ALL my questions about the mattress. I was also lied to about additional items I HAD to purchase to receive the 365 comfort guarantee, which I purchased to have piece of mind on my purchase. Which apparently was a lie as well since my mattress is not returnable or refundable. I was talked to like garbage from someone who claimed to be the manager and who didn't try to help AT ALL. She was very rude and hateful and made my wife and I very upset. We will definitely NOT be purchasing anymore items from Mathis Brothers and will recommend to all friends, family, co workers and heck just people in passing to avoid Mathis Brothers like the plague cause they do not care about there customers at all.

Mathis Brothers Furniture recliner

Purchased a recliner from your clearance area on 12/17. Why in for surgery on 12/20 & was sent home on the 24th. Called to inform the store I was returning this item was because the purpose of purchasing this was I had a total shoulder replacement ahs couldn't lay in it at all. I was informed I couldn't because it was an (as is) item. Was never informed of this when I purchased it or even signed a form to this affect. After shopping in this store for over 38 years I was treated this way. I know I'll never shop there again or even recommend them to anyone. The days were customer satisfaction guaranteed is long gone. This is so sad when they used to make sure their customers were happy.

Mathis Brothers Furniture do not buy a mattress at this store

I purchased a mattress at the mathis sleep center in moore, and we picked out the modular mattress was the only one my husband could tolerate with his back, I had no idea we couldn't exchange it or get our money back if it didn't work out, sleep number, mattress firm all have 100 day if not satisfied get a full refund policy and I just figured mathis brothers was the same way, I WAS WRONG! The bed was delivered not in boxes as it stated on the video we watched in the store to show us how to easily assemble it, instead it was delivered just wrapped in plastic, no paperwork as if it was a used bed, when I called the store they told me to google the assembly instructions! After a couple of nights both of us realized neither of us could sleep on the mattress, we were told we could purchase different firmness coils but not returnable! We purchased the mattress cover so it's been completely sealed and have been fighting with the store ever since, there isn't another mattress in the store my husband can sleep on and I'm allergic to the foam mattresses so we're limited on what we can sleep on, I was finally told we could exchange it after 30 days, by this time we've already purchased another mattress elsewhere otherwise we both would've been sleeping in our recliners for a month! But they don't seem to care about that! Anyway, so we decided since we can't get our money back and they won't give us a credit to purchase other furniture at the main store, we decided to exchange for a mattress and box springs and frame to give my friend who has leukemia and needs a good firm mattress, but due to health issues she sleeps on a twin mattress so she can quickly get up and to the bathroom and what we had purchased was a king, so even though the twin mattress/box springs and frame is going to be less than what we paid for the king mattress now they're telling me we can't exchange it for a different size! What difference does it make? We can't use the mattress so it may as well go to someone who can and is deserving of a nice bed, it's been almost 2 weeks since they called and told me I couldn't exchange for the twin but was going to make one more call to see if they could get an override, again it's been almost 2 weeks and have heard nothing! We purchased the mattress on October 13, 2019 and this issue still isn't resolved! I have been a customer of mathis brothers for over 35 years and have spent over 20, 000.00 there and this is the way the treat repeat customers, unbelievable! I will never buy a single thing more from them and am telling all my friends, coworkers and the veterans I service not to purchase from them for fear they will receive the same treatment, and judging by the reviews they treat all their customers poorly, how are they still in business? From now on I will go to the Galleria, Bob Mills, Edmond Furniture Gallery or anywhere else to purchase but them, this company has turned to trash!

Mathis Brothers Furniture sales incentives not delivered

On 8/10/19 I purchased $6300 of furniture from Mathis Brothers, including two mattresses, pads and adjustable bases with warranties. The senior sales person and mattress department manager convinced me to purchase the mattresses and bases with the commitment of receiving a $100 Visa gift card for each mattress, if I purchased that day. I purchased two mattresses and bases. The incentive promised was to help offset the extras (pads, warranties etc.). So I agreed and purchased that day. After more than 8 weeks I contacted the Sales person who gave me her phone number and asked where the Visa cards were. She quickly replied " thank you for getting in contact with me so I can make sure u receive those". I waited again and then on 11/16/19 I contacted the sales person again. Now no responses back. Mathis Brothers has been a horrible experience. First was a terrible "White Glove" delivery. One mattress was forgotten on the dock so the Delivery Manager wanted me to drive to their store at 8pm and strap it on top of my little Nissan Juke because they couldn't get anyone to deliver it with the rest of the order. Then this Visa gift card scam used to get people to buy that same day. I got scammed!

Mathis Brothers Furniture Customer service

I recently received a $50.00 gift card in appreciation of being a loyal customer.
Today I went to purchase toys for my grandchildren went to select many toys that were over the $50.00 and that was fine, but when I went to the counter (which I had to stand in line for over a half hour) I was told that I had to purchase $399.00 of other merchandise in order for $50.00 to be provided. I was very angry that I just left the items at the counter. I have been a customer for over 10 years, purchased 2 sets of living room furniture, dining furniture, sofa beds and recently a very expensive mattress. I feel that the gift card was a rip off, I will never buy one single thing from this furniture ever again. This is the way you treat customers.
Sorry I wasted all my money on this store.

Mathis Brothers Furniture inferior furniture falling apart - grease stains on carpet

Purchased Winners Only Desk and Furniture Values International LLC chair in 2015. Shortly after purchase, bearings fell out of drawer guides. 2019 bearings falling out of chair. Grease deposits ruined new carpet surrounding chair mat. Mathis Bros apologized and stated nothing they can do. I suggested at least go to vendors and file complaint with them to boycott future purchases or support customers. No longer a Mathis Bros customer.

Mathis Brothers Furniture loveseat sold to me

I have purchased the loveseat at This location in Ontario and when they sold it to me they said that it had warranty it came with out a leg in the bottom to hold the love seat and when u call they say there doing me a favor in helping me out now I have to wait for 6-8 week and maybe even longer . The receptionist don't hear the customer out she so rude and this problem is still not resolved. Hate this store brought a lot of business before never got this kind of customer service .

Mathis Brothers Furniture lane recliners

I need some advice from my FRIENDS and family. I bought 2 recliners from Mathis Bros. They are Lane extra wide with heat and message in them. Well i have had to have them fixed 2 times now. This last time on mine they had it 6-8 weeks. Got it back broke again same exact thing i have been putting it in the shop with Mathis Bros. I will tell you i will never buy lane recliners again. Yes i have warranty on both but still not able to use them . Always broke. Well now my husband has been diagnosed with cancer .
He cannot take them to the shop and i cannot do it by myself. I have had enough of this with these recliners. I refuse to take them back bc they have had them twice and i get them back with the same problem. So what do you all suggest that i do at this point? I need your input? I am furious with this situation. The service center i have had to deal with is worthless. I have never been so disappointed in furniture i have bought until now. They pretend to fix the chairs then give them back to me still broken. 2 times is more than enough time to fix them.

Mathis Brothers Furniture Couch, loveseat, recliners

I bought a sofa, love seat and a recliner in 2016. Over the last year I have been trying to deal with the local
Customer service at the Ontario store. I have been mainly dealing with the Customer Service Manager Jennifer with absolutely no resolution. We bought the extended warranty on the pieces as we were told from the sales associate that by having small children if there was a rip, scratches or even if our cats were able to claw through the "genuine leather" this warranty would cover any of our needs. She stated this way we would have the manufacture warranty and now this warranty.

Since buying the items, the center counsel buys and bolts have fallen out three times. The first time, your company came out. The second when I tried to contact your company I was told to have "a family member take care of the minor issues". So my husband did. Since the third time, it STILL hasn't been fixed as we can no locate all the nuts and bolts needed. I believe some might me stuck in the couch.

On top of this, the leather is torn from the seams and had turned colors. Most of the leather has turned a reddish/rust color despite us using the products given to us.

The last time I spoke to Jennifer she explained even though at that time my warranty was still valid that neither the warranty that was "given" to us, nor the one we purchased would cover any issues we are dealing with. This is ABSOLUTELY EXCEPTABLE! I am disgusted by the way I have been treated by your company and the lack of responsibility your company has chosen to take over faulty merchandise. I have tried to call your corporate office many times however, they just keep transferring me to Jennifer at the Ontario location.

It now appears the extra warranty is now expired, even though I have been speaking with your location for about a yr now. Your company speaks about great customer service on all your advertising however, you do not stand behind your products.

Please contact me as soon as possible to discuss this issue.

Mathis Brothers Furniture sleeper sofa defect and customer service

I ordered Sleeper sofa from Ashley's furniture store. The day of delivery (after almost 7 weeks of wait to get our furniture) I got a call that there was a minor defect/ tear on backside of sofa. I was given an option to get a discount or have the defect repaired at no cost. Since it was a minor tear, I went ahead with the delivery. Later on, I noticed two more defects - one with the mattress itself and the other with black sheet covering the frame that supports the mattress. I called customer service regarding the defect and the CS person - Tristin - was very rude to me. She made statements like - "what do you want me to do about it?" She also kept on talking over me several times. At one point, I had to stop her and ask her to let me speak. When I started telling her that there were two more defects (which were probably missed by the QA team), she went on saying "I am telling you, I am seeing a note in the system that there is a tear on the backside of sofa and to offer $100 to customer". When I confronted her that she doesn't have to be rude, when a customer is not happy with the product/ services, she denied that she was being rude, which was a straight up lie. She does not have to be in customer oriented industry, if she is not willing to help unhappy customers. This whole customer service experience made it a lot more painful, on top of the defective product I received.

Mathis Brothers Furniture leather upholstered bed

BEWARE! Mathis Brothers is selling "fake leather" and passing it off as 100% real leather. I purchased what I thought was a 100% leather king bed, but later I was shocked to find out, it wasn't leather at all. I paid 2000. for a customer Bernhardt leather bed, only to find out when the bed started peeling, it isn't leather at all. Mathis Brothers informed me that it is no longer under warranty and that there is nothing they can do about.
My problem: It was mis-represented! If I had know that any part of this bed wasn't leather, I wouldn't purchased it.
Mathis Brothers refuses to do anything about it. Now, I'm stuck with a very expensive lemon.
Shop around for a reputable dealer that will stand behind their merchandise.
