Marshalls review: Having cashiers push opening marshall's credit card
This has got to stop. It seems the cashiers are being pressured to continually offer/encourage you to open up a store credit card. I should only have to say "no" one time. Yesterday, after shopping in the store for about an hour and a half I got to checkout. The cashier was very friendly and politely suggested I open a card to save 20% on my rather large order. I said "no, thank you. I'm not interested." She offered it 3 more times during the checkout process. I felt my blood boil and told her that I told her no 4 times already and now this is harassment. Honestly, I know she is probably being pressured, but it left a very bad taste in my mouth. It's happened at Home Goods before, too. If I didn't spend so much time shopping, I would have left all of the items on the counter.
Recommendation: Do not pressure customers to open up credit.
