Marshalls review: An employee

On Thursday July 9 th I was at the Marshalls in North Kingstown R.I. at around 2.00 pm. I have been in customer service for many years and the quality of customer service now a days is very poor especially in the young workers. I was in line waiting to cash out. Two cashiers were working the registers and one cashier named Maddie F was just standing around leaning against the counter doing nothing. An elderly man was returning a pair of shorts that was gifted to him and he wanted a different size . He asked the cashier if someone could help him find another pair. The cashier asked Maddie F if she could help him.. her response was “I guess so” I don’t know if it’s because I have a different work ethic it just really bothered me that she was just standing around doing nothing. How can you just stand there and do nothing when someone needed help and that answer in my opinion was unacceptable. If I wasn’t in a hurry I would have went and helped him. When you’re at a job, you’re getting paid to work not standing leaning against the counter. Sorry to complain but, this generation has no work ethic. Thank you.
