Mann Plumbing, Heating and Air Conditioning is way too expensive. They charged me 40% more than what they initially estimated. On top of that, I had to call them back three times just to get the job done. Save yourself the trouble and find another company to handle your plumbing and heating needs.

I had a bad experience with Mann plumbing. They charge too much and don't have good ethics. Mann charges extra for their services, even though they know it won't fix the problem. They also do work without asking the customer first. They send the bill after they finish everything, so you end up with a really high bill. Find another company that treats customers better.

I called this company in late March this year and asked about work for my house. We agreed on a date and time and they came 2 hours early. I said I needed two outdoor water faucets replaced. I explained that one of them was leaking into my basement and garage, which was my main issue. This work had to be done so I could use sprinklers to grow a new lawn. An employee told me the problematic faucet was replaced and good to go. I trusted him. The other faucet was in a crawl space and another employee couldn't fix it at that time. They left and I scheduled another date and time for the second issue. Two different employees came the second time and fixed the crawl space faucet (although it's a different size now and doesn't work with my hose reel, great)! A few days later, I received a text message from Mann Plumbing and Heating asking for an online review, and then a few days after that, I got a huge bill. Perfect timing for both. They charged extra for products, and then sent the bill a few days later. They never gave me an estimate, just a bill. The bill listed the parts (some of which were twice as expensive as elsewhere). I was also told I wouldn't be charged for labor the second time since they couldn't fix my problems. But... the bill didn't show this, so I had to call again to sort it out. Fast forward about a week, I turned on the outdoor faucet and ran it for only 2 minutes. Then I went to my garage and saw a small amount of liquid near my mower, where the issue was. I thought it was from my mower. Now it's the end of June, and I had to delay fixing my yard because I needed to remove 3 trees around the same time I got the faucets fixed. I took out my kids' water table and had it on for about half an hour. When I turned it off and went into my garage, water had flooded a part of it. My mower got wet, inches from my bike with the electric cable plugged in nearby. I went to the basement and realized that the first employee didn't do what I asked and fixed nothing. I'm not a professional, but I called a professional and this is what I got. I called Mann Plumbing and Heating and asked to speak to a manager to explain everything. The person on the phone said they could help me. So I explained it all. No apologies, no compassion, and "so three months later you turned it on"... Yes, sir, I had no reason to use it before. I was shocked at this conversation but stayed professional because I needed them in my home for a third time. My partner was there when the person did the work the last time. This time, the third time, the second outdoor faucet was replaced and not leaking. A few days later, I got a bill in the mail (this time without an itemized list of repairs, wonder why?). Unbelievable! I immediately called and spoke to a lady. She put me on hold. When she came back, she said her boss was willing to work with me (I hope so because they inconvenienced my family and extended family with this disastrous project on 3 separate occasions, and many phone calls). I wanted to hear what she had to say. She said they could remove the labor charge from the bill. So what about the overpriced faucet they swapped out? I know it's not the same as the first one they put on the first time. I actually prefer this one. What? What kind of company operates like this? I've never had a worse experience than with this company, and I wouldn't recommend them to anyone.

On 3/9, I had Mann Plumbing come to my home for a kitchen sink repair. They said the first hour fee was $88, which I paid. The plumber was in my home for about 35 minutes and fixed the sink. I thought everything was settled, but on 3/19, I got a text saying I owed an extra $17. I called Mann Plumbing and they said the technician worked 15 minutes past the first hour, so they charged me more. But the technician was only here for 35 minutes, like I said. I told them this, and they said they would check. My wife also called Mann for an explanation, and they said the $17 was for the technician's drive time to our house. Mann gave us two different explanations. When we booked the service, they never told us they would charge for drive time. This seems new because I've been dealing with them for five years, and they never did this before. I think Mann should take back the $17 and explain why their stories don't match.
