Outstanding, Professional & Expert service. Communicated with Maize upon moving in our new home and I was notified that they were extremely busy and it could take some time before they could do the work. Fortunately they were able to squeeze us in to the busy schedule and complete the installation. I would certainly recommend Maize. If my neighbours ask who completed the work, without a doubt, Maize it is.

We initially had eastrough installed on our new house in February when that summer we noticed a kink had appeared in the center . I called Maize and spoke with the owner who came over the very next day. They replaced the eastrough and also lowered the down spouts that were a tad high as the landscaping wasn't finished when the initial work was done. The employees were very professional and did Excellent work. ! Highly recommend.

Never deal with this company. Won’t honor the warranty. We are 5 neighbors in the same street with the exact same issue. The owner refuses to honor the warranty. Misleading website. Why to choose Maize? Because they have been in the business for 30 years? Not honoring warranties. We’ll make sure to post reviews everywhere for potential clients to avoid this company. I contacted three companies about replacing our eavestroughs, and Maize was the only company to contact me. They came shortly after I called, and provided a written estimate shortly thereafter. The installers did a great job, and although I had a minor issue, it was promptly resolved, without any fuss. The work site was spotless, and there was no debris left behind. I would highly recommend this company. Every person I dealt with was professional and efficient.

Very professional and friendly, from the first contact with the estimator to the two sets of crews. The owner appeared to be in charge of the scheduling, indicating a personal and hands-on approach. I liked that! We came to know Maize from neighborhood's referral. During the work, more than one person stopped by to share their Maize experience - positive. Our project was to install soffit, fascia, and eavestrough; our goal is to have a low maintenance solution to keep rain water away for the years to come. It looks promising :)

I recently used Maize to replace siding, fascia and soffits and was pleased and satisfied with the advice given around tightening the envelope of a *** house and improving attic ventilation- and the subsequent installation. The installer was knowledgeable and meticulous, with great attention to detail. He was also very accommodating to the parallel work done by an insulation company which required access through the *** vents. The office staff are well organized and courteous, with prompt answers to inquiries. I would happily recommend Maize.

Maize does a very good job. I have recommended Maize to my friends and we have used Maize a few times. We are very happy with the services from Maize. From email inquiry, to quote, to scheduling the installation, to installation, and to the post-installation changes. Maize matches the color of the roof shingles, chooses right locations for downspouts, gives good quality installation, and equally importantly, Maize does a good post-installation services to give customers peace of mind. So you can feel free to install the eavestroughing even before the grading or sodding is done, Maize will return to change the downspout locations after sodding is done. We are very satisfied with Maize.

Three issues that came to light once they were done installing gutters: 1. The down spout for the upper level was not broght to the ground, but rather to the 1st floor roof awning, causing undo wear on the roof. 2. The ends of the gutters were not properly sealed, causing wayer to drip out the ends, down the brick, and flood the basement. 3. The gutters they installed on the flat roof on the extension never worked properly, and I discovered layer, were not correctly installed for a flat roof. The *** was not responsive to my texts or calls to the office, even though I offered to pay for the fixes. After a while, i gave up and I had to get another company in to fix. I am so not pleased.

Very happy with the service I got from Maize. I have a new built home but the house came with cheap gutters placed only in the front and they were leaking. Plus my home is very high up off the ground, 3 floors of 10 inch ceilings. Maize came over and made everything right. Really impressed with the addition of flood gates they installed in the valleys of my roof as these flood barriers displace the flow of water evenly to the gutters so there is now overflow in one spot. Had heavy rain since then and the system handled the water perfectly. There are lots of incompetent contractors out there so be weary. They may charge less but it is not worth it for a few hundred bucks. I chose experience, I chose Maize.

Very pleased with the estimate and the work, and it was done so fast! They were in and out in two hours or less, doing a bungalow both front and back with replacement gutters, four downspouts and leaf guards over all, ending with a pretty good clean-up and total removal of the old stuff. Only critique might be that we got no warning of their planned arrival day and time (other than an e-mailed general estimate of a one to three week time window.) Not really a problem, but their equipment of necessity blocked the driveway for a period which could have interfered with using the car for an appointment. The installed system works just fine, and I'd have no hesitation in recommending Maize for eavestrough replacement.

We were very pleased with the product, the installation and the price. The estimate was provided promptly and was very detailed. Work was scheduled when promised and completed as per the estimate. The crew was very courteous and professional. They completed the job in about 4 hours despite the very hot temperatures. The site was thoroughly cleaned up before they left. The gutters and downspouts colour-matched what we had before, look clean and neat, and provide better drainage. We experienced heavy thunderstorms that evening and the next day, and had no issues with the system whatsoever. No clogging with the T-Rex system, and the larger capacity downspouts carried water away very efficiently. On-line billing was very convenient. We highly recommend Maize.

Very poor. Our new *** home was done with Maize eavestroughs in about 2008. Problems with overflowing, drips behind the gutters began not long after. It turns out they did not bother to tell me that drip edge should be used everywhere or even offer it. Fast forward to about 2018, I did all the drip edge myself at the back of our 2 storey house for the price of a 32' extension ladder, 20$ of drip edge and some more screws. Fixed, but not before all the leaks caused both the rear patio and front step to heave. I fixed that too. Last year I was able to get them to come back and fix the front before our new front patio went in. 500$ later, drip edge and some repairs and new gutter over the garage done twice as they wanted to use the new piece after dragging it across the drive and scratching the paint everywhere. No safety gear used. Elbows installed upside down. Same leaks everywhere but now on the new patio. Called to get someone back asap and add a missing downspout since day one. Price agreed. That was last year; no call back, no visit, nothing. Now finally the front has been completely replaced by a fine company in Carp That I would love to recommend. It looks good and drains perfectly. The new front patio is now safe, thanks for wondering.

In April I asked Maize to remove and repair a section of eavestrough, which had been installed by Maize the year before and was now falling off. Recently I found out the fascia on which the eavestrough was attached was rotten. Without advising me the fascia needed replacing, they went ahead and installed the eavestrough. From where the eavestrough and fascia had pulled away from the house, the building is now infested with squirrels. Maize provided a quote and advised that they would not be able to action the repair until mid-summer and there would be an additional charge of $3,250. With the infestation problem and concerned tenants, I found another contractor to remove the damaged eavestrough and replace the fascia. The contractor advised me that the incorrect screws had been used to secure the eavestrough and the screws were incorrectly screwed into the rotten fascia instead of directly into the rafter ends. Apparently this is the recommended procedure to avoid just this type of problem from the potential build-up of snow and ice in winter.. Maize should acknowledged responsibility for not having either advised me or corrected the rotten fascia before proceeding with the original installation and to pay for the resulting cost to correct the problem. This was my second time using Maize and a lot has changed in 8 years. I hired them last Fall to replace gutters with a covered system. They came in the winter and did the work. Which would have been fine but they did not really clean up after themselves. My kids were finding sharp pieces of aluminum and large nails all over the place in the snow and into spring. They said they would be back in the spring to complete the work by putting in a drip edge as installation would damage the roof in winter. I had to chase them to get them to come back. Then in July they billed me and claimed the work had been done. I had to climb up and take photos which clearly showed the work wasn’t done. They didn’t apologize but tried to say only a section hadn’t been done. So I climbed in another area and sent another photo. We were then told they were going to come on a certain day to inspect. We told them we wanted to be here and made ourselves available. They didn’t show. Then they came on a day we were not here, never told us they had come and again we found pieces of metal in our backyard, which was locked. I climbed up again to see if the work was done. I can’t get around all of my house due to heights and can only hope the work is actually done. Then To add further insult, they added interest to the bill that we didn’t pay the previous month when the work wasn’t done. It was only $15 dollars but $15 dollars in interest for work that wasn’t completed? We never even received an apology for their never completing the work and billing us. I do NOT recommend them.

Capable of good work but if they mess up, you are on your own. I will never do business with them again. - First job, problem with water leaking behind eve solved after couple days. We were happy. - Second larger job undid the fix from first and made us wait months to even look at it. Meanwhile, water leaking and damaging house. Finally showed up and said to wait for spring. Spring came and we weren't even first in line. Had to phone and email a half-dozen times. All that was while withholding payment. Heaven help you if you pay before it rains. - In the end, their 10 minutes of attempt at a fix did not work. Still leaking. Going to have to rent a cherry picker and fix myself or hire another contractor. Probably the later now that there is damage to deal with. Mistakes happen with any company. Reasons to avoid this one: - The person they send out has no power to get the company to do anything and says as much. - The owner doesn't care and it shows in the motivation of the employees. If I can think of how to test for a leak on a sunny day, I would expect an eve trough contractor of 30 years to be able to think of a way. And when you point it out and offer a hose or bucket they look at you like you are from Mars. How dare I suggest testing it now instead of accepting excuses and forgetting about it by the time it rains again! - Owner says they have done 4000 jobs and ours is the only one that has had a problem. That is absurd (even the best businesses fail more than that - but they care enough to fix things when they screw up.) If an owner tells you they are never wrong, what they mean is that you will never convince them that they are wrong and their employees know they can do no wrong. - Their time estimates are not based in reality. Add months to whatever they tell you.
