bank card and checking
I have had my checking account and debit card for 5 years. When I got the debit card, I selected for the transaction to be declined if funds were not available. Now, I have had to cancel my debit card because transactions were not declined. I was informed after my account became several hundred dollars in the negative that if you pay a recurring bill with your debit card, those transactions will be pushed through and NOT DECLINED. I'm now being informed I have 15 days to bring my account current or I will be unenrolled in overdraft protection. I never enrolled in the first placed! I was automatically enrolled as a courtesy. I want any transactions declined if funds are not available! It's easier to pay what's owed and not an NSF fee on top of it. Just the debit card transactions alone put me so far behind, I can't catch up. Plus, we had a small amount of every weekly paycheck deposited transferred to savings. No paycheck, no deposit right? No. They'll keep posting that transaction and racking up fees. I'll be shopping for a bank that can be up front and honest. I suggest you as a customer ask more detailed questions so you don't get ripped off.
Deceptive Advertising
I opened a business account with this bank last year and was told it had free online banking. I specifically asked if I could write online checks as I was doing with my personal account. Now I find out they were charging me $8.95 per month for the free check writing. It doesn't seem like English is their primary language. Thanks - Will
