Living Spaces Furniture cr*p company

Do not shop here if you have a problem the couldn't careless! Zero customer service and the quality is just as bad! Quality is sub-par at best, return and refund policy does not exist and you aren't told this until after you make a purchase and then it's downplayed! Do not shop here or you will be sorry! Boo! I pray this dump goes out of business. Macy's has better quality, customer service and store satisfaction policies in effect! Do not shop here! Living Spaces Furniture poor customer sevice

Once you buy something from this store it's yours. Terrible customer service or for that matter no customer service. No return policy. I bought a mattress that was substanially firmer than the floor model. They refuse to do anything about it. I smell lawsuit!

Do not shop at living spaces! Owner grover geiselman doesn't give a rats behind about the hard working customer that dishes out their money only to be scrwed over by this place! Do not buy here you will be sorry!

My daughter went to living spaces and was approve for 5000.00 so she decided to buy a sleigh bed once they delivered and set up to my surprise they had the planks for the bed so they told us to call tomorrow and they will bring them back well she did and they kept giving her the run around kept saying they on the truck for delivery then they not they on back order then they called yesterday said they would be delivered tonight then again they called back and said they are on back order. This been going on for 3 weeks now. Now they had the nerves to tell me to find the planks at a store somewhere else abd they will credit me 50.00 dollars I said that us not her job when she purchase through you guys so they keep saying they have to call back because it us ob back order her bed is unstable and they dont care. I told them to take the planks off there floor model they said they can not do that. Custoner service is bad abd you can not get a hold to a manager or the store you brought the bed from the owner Grover Geilesman should be ashamed of himself for not wanted to help his customer when they buying furniture through his company. We are ready for them to pick everything back up and cancel her credit but niw thet wont call back. Angry customer worse service ever I will never purchase again through them totally nightmare.

Yes this company is bad and makes out on a sale even if the furniture is defective, a restocking charge! how in the hell are they going to restock defective goods? this place and customer service is horrable at best, the owner needs to be sued...if anyone wants to start a class action against them let me know I will be right beside you all.

This Rating is far ABOVE what they deserve. Should have checked out the complaints against this company before I purchased a special order sectional. Supposedly this is a high end sectional. I beg to differ. My wife and I have had this sectional for about 5 months. The first day after we received this sectional we could not get the brackets to line up and lock it together. Second day I rested my arm on the armrest and it collapsed. Then my wife and I noticed that the cushions when sat on collapsed all the way to the frame and the saggy springs (which dip way to low). We are busy people so we did not address the matter immediately. We recently visited the showroom to buy more furnature after having this sofa for about five months. We spoke there to a manager and addressed our concerns with the sectional that we bought. We went over and sat on the the same sectional on the showroom floor that we had recently purchased. The quality was a hundred times better, and this sofa gets sat on all day long buy the customers. The manager said no problem we'll take care of you. He referred us to the warranty department (Big Mistake). I dealt with Laura Raena who told us to send in some picture of the sectional. We did as she requested. We then contacted her after the picture were sent to find out what was going to be done about it. She told us sorry we cant help you. So I spoke with her manager John Benson. John told us the same thing. He also said the pictures looked fixed, as if we positioned the cushions in to take the photos. I asked him to send out a technician, which I was told they would do, and they refused. I told him I would be happy to pay the technician to come out. He again refused. I'm guessing its becuse I have a legitimate complaint that they don't want to document or replace the furnature. Steer clear of this company unless you want to take them to court.

Living Spaces Furniture tempur pedic bed

I purchased a Tempur Pedic mattress. It came with a 90 day return policy and two free pillows and free sheets. Well after 2 1/2 months I can't stand it any longer. The mattress doesn't dissipate heat and I wake up drenched in sweat. The same thing happens to my wife and she won't sleep on it. Well when I inquired about returning the bed per the agreement I was told that I would lose $607.00 because of a $200.00 restocking fee, $90.00 pickup fee, $180.00 for the pillows, $120.00 for the sheets and I can add to that $100.00 for the special cover that they will not let me return. So there you are, $707.00 I lose on a $3000.00 purchase. So I can understand the restocking fee but they should call it something else because I doubt a mattress will be resold. I can accept the $90.00 pickup fee. Where they lose me is the pillows and the sheets. The pillows are made of the same material as the mattress so why would they refuse to take them back. They are just as hot as the bed and I can't use them. $120.00 for sheets is over the top also. It seems to me that Living Spaces makes their profit whether I keep the mattress or return it. I was aware of all of this going into it except how awful the mattress is so I have nobody to blame but myself. I have posted this to warn others that Tempur Pedic mattresses are like sleeping in an oven. The salesperson will tell you how wonderful the mattress is and never mention the heat and trust me on this, the heat is bizarre. Like a dummy I didn't ask how much a pillow or the sheets cost so there again, I can blame myself. To anyone considering a purchase I would recommend that you refuse the free pillows and free sheets or wait the 90 days to take them after you have decided to keep the mattress. That would have saved me $300.00.

Living spaces suck with their return policy we will never ever buy anything from them Again. We also purchased the temperpedic cloud Prima, a bed frame, and two temperpedic pillows... and hate them all!

Did living spaces try to work with us on returning Anything? Nope! Not at all!

We even wondered if they are selling fake temperpedic beds... Because how can so many people love this bed.. And we can't stand it! And how come a full foam bed make so much noise every time we get on and off... Also... The motion transfer is ridiculous. We have had memory foam mattresses before, and we have never encountered these issues in the past.

We hate living spaces! They are crooks!

I personally would never buy one of those mattresses due to the heat factor, but I'll let you know a few things about them. The store should let you do a re-select for free, seeing as germs are transferred into mattresses and it's very un-hygenic to resell a mattress. I suppose the sheets and pillows came free with the bed, so when you return the bed you must pay to keep those sheets and pillows (but they should let you return those as well). And you could eliminate the pick-up fee if you drop it off yourself (if they let you of course). Good luck finding a better bed!

Living Spaces Furniture mattress and reclining chairs

My 80-year-old mother bought a $530 dollar pillowtop mattress in July 2009. By February 2010 there was a significant, permanent, deep depression in the middle of the mattress. Living Spaces has a procedure for defective merchandise: the customer pays $50 to them, which they promise is passed on to an "objective" inspector who comes to the house to determine if the mattress is defective. Hmmmm, not only does the consumer have to trust that the assessment is objective but gets to pay for the privilege. You decide for yourself whether this process is fair and unbiased, or if you think that this is just $50 more for the same mattress.

She also bought two reclining chairs. They will not "lock" in the most laid back position. This is after the gentle use that my mother gave them in only 7 months of use. Living Spaces will send "someone" to look at them for $50, but they make no promise that the chairs will be fixed. Or she can load them in a truck herself, bring them to the store, and "someone" will look at them there. They make no promise that anyone qualified to repair them is at the store. You decide for yourself whether it is worth it to buy reclining chairs from Living Spaces.

Living Spaces Furniture return policy is a scam

Bought a sofa with significant wear and tear. Spoke with Manager, customer service and everyone told me the same thing:
- upon purchase - with pickup - I waived all of my return rights including warranties
- upon purchase - even with store delivery - I can only exchange the item, cannot get a full refund
- In my case, they flat out refused to consider any remedies even without reviewing my order or offering to inspect the damaged sofa.

Each person I spoke with from the company, rehearsed the same scripted responses above, which leads me to believe that this is not a one bad store, but rather a corporate policy.

Of course, I can sue them, or dispute with my credit card, but it is a waste of time. I'm only hoping that this review will help the next person from being victimized from this company. Horrible, horrible customer service. Stay away.

I agree with you on this one, I do think that for the most part it's corporate policy. Their idea is to move that cheap Chinese made furniture out the door and to move on to the next sucker, or customer. That company is shady.

Living Spaces Furniture damaged table

Once again Living Spaces Furniture sells a customer a damaged product. When the delivery drivers delivered the table they sub standard job in putting my table together. They (E&M trucking) left screws out of the table legs and damaged the extension arm. Long story short, be careful when dealing with Living Spaces customer service and delivery team.

Living Spaces Furniture selling damaged furniture and fraudulent contract

Buyer beware! Living spaces furniture store fine print tells you that you can refuse to take delivery of damaged furniture. In case that happens, you will not be charged restocking fees.
What living spaces doesn't tell you is that first, they will take back the damaged furniture, and then they will turn around and charge you not only a $99. 00 fee for delivery but an additional $150. 00 "restocking fee, " if they decide that their furniture was not damaged enough to warrant you refusing to take delivery.

Recently, i bought and attempted to take delivery of a leather couch set ans a coffee table, not once but two times. But both times, i got damaged furniture - - the legs of the sofas had major dings, the leather stitching was frayed, and there was even a rip underneath one of the pieces. The table had multiple scratches. The delivery people handled the furniture very roughly, almost throwing pieces down on the road without protection. When i complained to the customer service person while this occurred, he simply didn't care. He even confirmed that i would not be charged for the returned furniture nor for the restocking. Yet, a month later, the bill reflected the charges anyway, and when i called to clear it up, they were rude claiming that "they" did not see the damage i had identified and so, i had to pay for restocking. They further challenged me to go to small claims!

Living spaces is a literal piece of (censored) of a company. My partner had done a payment plan for a nice couch and had paid the interest, downpayment all on the same day. Now we came to a final payment a charge of 50% interest plus 150.00 for a fee? We paid 700 a month for 8 months and now we have to pay another interest rate doubling it 1400!? This company is robbing it’s customers with charges that the company doesn’t wanna pay out of pocket. Piece of garbage company. Do not buy from them.

Living Spaces has the worst customer service when it comes to their honoring of their VIP Care Protection Plan that they talked me into when I purchased my couch. I have been on the phone with them for over an hour, getting either cutoff or hung up on twice. My Couch cushions are braking down but in order to make good you have to tell them 10 days from when the damage occurred. The braking down of the cushions doesn't just happens in a moment.. It occurs over a period of days or even weeks, Maybe even months. Their contract is void because they say I did not report it in 10 days even though I paid through the nose and my contract is good for 5 years, VIP C ARE PROTECTION is not VIP.

Don't [censor]ing order [censor] from Here or any other location. I have had to replace a dining table and bench twice. Then the last time they brought my items I was told upon delivery they were not taking the old items away. They conveniently couldn't find a manger for me to talk to. And I also had to place another order for an item that I already submitted a work order forThis is the worst thing ever. You will have better service with mom and pop or family owned furniture place. I will no longer be referring people here. If I could rate this [censor]ing place a negative zero I would. Made me miss work for this [censor]. The first time it was replaced the delivery guy told me to just use wood glue if it can loose. I told him why would I have to do that on something I have not had for more than 2 years

I bought a nightstand and dresser and I left them in boxes till my daughters room was painted and new carpet installed. When I opened the dresser it was the wrong one. LS is telling me I'm out of luck because it's over 7 days. Ridiculous! I called my credit card and put in a dispute on charges and told my credit card the situation. I'm waiting to see what will happen. I will NEVER purchase from them again. I never thought in a million years LS would be so unprofessional and not care about their customers. I would think they would say sorry and delivery me and just deliver the correct item.

Had completely horrible experience. Ordered a few items (order # SO-2526709), on the day of delivery I was told that one of the items is backordered and will be delivered later. I agreed to it and received rest of the order. The backordered item was one of the 2 cocktail tables that goes together.

Next week, I got a call for the delivery for the pending cocktail table and 6pm to 11:59pm slot was booked for delivery. But when the item was delivered, it was the wrong one (not the one I ordered), so I refused the delivery. So I waited for couple of hours for nothing.

Next day, I called customer service and notified of the issue. They said that another delivery will be scheduled. I got another call a few days after and another delivery window was scheduled (between 6pm to 11:59pm). The item arrived around 00:20 in the morning, but it was again the wrong item, which I refused again.

Finally, living spaces decided to cancel the 2nd item, the cocktail table, (without asking me) and said that money will be refunded. When I mentioned that the 1st cocktail table that was delivered to me is part of the set and I wouldn't need it without it, they first refused the return with reason that it was outside of the 7 days delivery period. I argued that I totally intended to keep this one, but had to return only because the 2nd cocktail table has not be delivered and has now been canceled. Finally, they did agree for the return but asked me to pay 10% restocking fee, which I think it completely ridiculous since it is their fault. Instead of offering any apology for the 2 wrong deliveries and making me wait for hours in the night, I am being asked to bear the cost.

My furniture after only 2 years and 5 months...the fabric flakes off. I bought VIP care insurance with Living Spaces, and they say they can't fix it. They say that can't get the parts. Fabric is what we need. I think they should recover it with something and give me some choices to choose from. Living spaces won't help . What a rip off this has been!

Do not buy furniture from here. When you buy new furniture, they send you used items. They trick you and fool you, thinking that you will never find out that you got used and worn out furniture. They clean them really good so it is hard to catch. Hoping that they will never get caught. Well I caught them. So watch carefully

I bought 2 new boyd sofa and they send me 2 used sofas. The inspection guys came and took it back and apologized for the inconvenience because it is obviously used and worn out furniture.(They were good about the situation). They charge you full price for used furniture. Ridiculous! I went back to the store and complained. They said they will compensate $80 with free delivery but later a guy named Lyuben change it to $40. He was talking to me like he was doing me a favor, take it or leave it like that way talking very manipulatively! very rude and ugly attitude. They don't think about you or care about you or even feel sorry for what they do to the people. They have no heart, no moral, or any shame for what they do to the customers. Stay away from these guys and from this store. Filthy liars. There was a sales person named Jenna. She said to buy one sofa furniture VIP furniture insurance so I could trick the company to cover the other sofa for free, since they are same identical ones. My husband said "don't they scan the barcode to check the item before they send them out from the warehouse to customer to check which is which and where it was purchased to know the history of the merchandise since we are buying vip furniture insurance?" and she said that's right and she quickly changed by saying yes you do need to buy vip furniture insurance for each of the sofa even though, they are same identical ones and said that they scan each merchandise to keep the record of the history of the item and for the vip furniture insurance record reference. So this means, when the warehouse sends these 2 identical sofa to us according to what Jenna said they should of known that these were 2 used sofa indeed because she said they scan them for the record since we are buying vip furniture insurance. She said clearly, they scan the furniture to see the history of the furniture. So they did know that this was indeed used items and still choose to send them out to the customer who paid for brand new item price. So be careful and watch out.

I loved your magazine...because I loved looking at the rooms styled by Jeff Lewis. He is my dream designer! Simple but sophisticated. Edgey but traditional. He is a master at pulling it all together. Totally agree with his distain for the employee that dropped the ball, or the plates, pitchers and candles for the shoot he was asked to style. You let him go...so I let you go! Goodbye Living Spaces. You blew It! Jeff...if you ever need a house to make over...find me...I am your biggest fan. Love Jenni too!

I bought a lot of new furniture in Feb of 2015 inclding the warranty package for VIP. Our one couch was broken, called VIP in late April to report, received a claim number. I've called them back several times to find out status of someone coming out and looking at the damage but as of 7/10/15 no one has called or emailed us to see the damage. Called Living Spaces several times and complained of the lousy service from VIP and to make things right by either coming out themselves to look at the damage, or replace it. They told me the management can't do a thing until VIP gives them the go ahead. Finally had to file a claim against them with the Attorney General of California. I'll never buy from them again.

Living Spaces Furniture failure to honor contract

LeRae the owner had entered into a contract with me for services and despite over 10 phone calls and emails, she has failed to make good on her promise to pay. I just have a problem with business owners who turn out to be deadbeats yet still solicit business and expect others to pay. This experience with this company has left a very bad taste in my mouth and I know that I will not be recommending them to others.

Living spaces is reaping people's money by selling defective stuff made in china and in top of being defective they convince you to buy "VIP CARE WARRANTY" which costs an extra $99.
I put a claim to replace my defective sofas, they said the warranty doesn't not cover inside damages or pealing off.
People don't waste your money.

I spent 1800$ on furniture from living Spaces and I added 190$ on vip care when I call VIP care to come and clean some stains. They told me the time when it happened so I wasn't sure if happened in a week or more so they revus to set appointment and clean
The stains. It will be the last time to shop from this store.
