My 18 year old son took his 2007 Hyundai Tiburon over for service. One tire had a slow leak and his tires needed to be Balanced.
He had just recently painted his rims white. He was advised at the time of service the Rims may get marked up, from the Balancing Machine due to being spray painted. He understood this and okayed the service.

When he got the car home the paint was off 3 of the Rims, they were not just marked up. Even the spot that you put the weights, took the paint off the rims. The rims had to be repainted.

I called and spoke to the service Manager Steve, he was less than sympathetic. He explained, how he advised my son about them getting marked up. He even said that since they were ONLY SPRAY PAINTED, THEY WOULD LOOK LIKE CRAP IN 6 MONTHS ANYWAY!

I am not as upset about the marks as I am about the lack of caring! It was as though, they are going to get marked up so who give a crap! Do Not Even Try To Be Careful and they DID NOT FIND THE SLOW LEAK!

In the last 5 years I have purchased 2 - 2004 Sonata's, 1- 2005 Accent, 1-2009 Accent and a 2007 Tiburon from Lester Glenn Auto Group. With the fact that Steve blamed my Son for the Damage to his Rims I told him I will not be returning to Lester Glenn
Auto Group for my new car in 2010. He told me "That is not a nice thing to say to me". THIS IS WHO YOU HAVE RUNNING YOUR SERVICE DEPARTMENT.

We all work hard for our money, including my son who is a full time student, works and yet had to pay $53.45 for aggravation and not
even getting his car fixed.

I never had any doings w/ Steve but try to deal with Zina and Kerry

Due to the multiple lies, trying to skirt warranty responsibilities. I'll never spend another dime at Lester Glenn.

Lady you said yourself " He understood it and okyed the work" There should be no further discussion. I guess he should'nt have been honest, and tried to hide it? This world is full of chronic complainers with nothing better to do! I to have delt with Steve, both in Toms River, and in Manahawkin. I can tell you this if I owned a business he would be on the front line.. Steve and the other manager jon Gold are assestes to lester Glenn, and I will continue doing business with them as long as I own my Hyundai's.

sheeesh!

I have been a Lester Glenn customer for a long time, I have gotten two cars from them. I have never received bad service ever! Ive only ever dealt with Steve, weather he was in Toms River or as the manager in Manahawkin, he goes above and beyond the duties of his job to make sure you are a happy customer. He helps on prices when you need a service and cannot afford and with transportation when you are stuck without your car. If he told your son that it might get damaged and he took it upon himself to let them do it than maybe it is his own fault? Did you think of that? He took it upon himself to paint his rims on his "brand new" car than he needs to take responsibility for what happened himself and maybe paint it over again. I mean he took the time the first time to do it. Think before you speak and try to ruin someones reputation that does more than his job is meant to be. Steve and his service department are extremely pleasant and I will never ever stop going there. I recommend them to everyone I meet.

I too am a customer of LESTER GLENN and have bought two cars from them. I have known Steve the service manager ever since he starting working there. He is the most polite and caring person, who will go the extra mile to take care of all his customers! One time my wife broke down twenty miles from Lester Glenn at 5:30 in the evening. I called Steve and he waited till 7:30 until my wife could get the car towed in ( everyone else went home). He gave her a loaner car and made sure she got home safely! I will never forget that. The woman who wrote this complaint is an overprotecting mother who does not know what she is talking about. It is people like her ( who would tarnish someones reputation so easily) who make these forums suspect.

Just wondering, did you know you can't spray paint rims, they have to be powder coated?! Of course they will look like crap in 6 months, your lucky it didn't wash off in the rain!

I am a customer of LESTER GLENN and have been for years...I have nothing but excellent service and satisfaction from EVERYONE there. In my opinion if you are told your car may be damaged from the service and you authorize it, than only you are to blame!
You made a comment that you work for your money, well so does Steve, whom I have only excellent service from through the years, and for you to bad mouth him for your obvious mistake only makes you look like the jerk. How do you expect someone to be sympathetic when you were warned of the possible outcome?
