I purchased a sectional sofa on Dec 27. It was delivered 28th. We signed for item thinking we could get it down the stairs Item was still wrapped in delivery crate/materials.
Item will not fit via opening
Contact store of purchase both service desk and manager were very unsupportive stating it was a head office issue and would not be able to return and be charged a 25 percent re sticking fee. Which is highly ridiculous considering it was delivered 10 minutes prior to me calling and it will not fit via the door space to even get the item to where is needs to go.
I contacted head office who then stated it was a store issue
Contacted store again who then said they would call me back. Two hours later I called again as no one contacted me and left another message to which again no one contacted me
I contacted to driver who informed he will pick up the item if the store requests so.
At this point it has now been 5 hours of me attempting to get this sorted with delivery with zero support from the store
I find the lack of customer support highly sad and honestly it seems that they want the sale and then that's it. So clearly they do not want customers to return to purchase items
I will say delivery depot was amazing as they called me back immediately and worked out pick up time but again not there job as the store should be handling customer concerns
I am also appalled at the 25 percent restocking fee for an item that does not fit and was not opened what kind of business shafts people and has such poor customer service policy.
Silly child, just because you did not get your way does not mean that one was unprofessional.
