LabCorp review: Standard blood draw

The technician that drew my blood (an African-American woman; the only tech there) was extremely non-professional. No greeting. She called my name, didn't even direct me to the chair, ask me what arm, nor made any remarks except "Date of Birth." She then proceeded to stick the left arm. Immediately I knew something was not right.

I have had numerous draws then this one felt like she let the needle hang down from the insertion point which hurt. Never have I had this before. When I took the bandage off I was horrified at the extent of bruising. The next day I have pain and swelling. She either went through the vein or let the needle drag down extending the hole. I have a terrible bruise that is over 2 1/2 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches long. NEVER EVER in my life have I had this extent of blood underneath my skin. There is usually a small bruise that is normal but this woman should never be allowed to draw blood again.

I am filing a formal complaint with the State of Delaware Medical Board. This is not acceptable.
