La Quinta Inns & Suites LaQuinta 7820 Perry Highway Erie, PA

Room was musty smelling as were the bath towels. Stained curtains, fan didn't work in bathroom. First morning told there would be no "free" breakfast because person called off.
But talked to DAVE MAUN that is a maintenance man there and he actually brought out eggs and bacon upon our request. He was very accommodating-front desk young lady was not. Said it wasn't her job and claimed to have called the manager at our request-no proof.
Pics are from second morning breakfast! I will never stay here or at any LaQuinta Inns. Pool was cloudy so didn't chance going into it. STAY AWAY!

Recommendation: STAY AWAY!

La Quinta Inns & Suites Overwhelming odor masking scent

On Saturday, November 2, 2024, I stayed at La Quinta Inn & Suites at 22790 Hwy 59 North, Kingwood, Texas. I checked in at about 10:46 PM and had to check out around 2 a.m. I was only there for a few hours; unfortunately, it was not a pleasant experience. Upon entering the room, I was immediately struck by a strong scent that permeated the air. It was pretty overwhelming and made it difficult to relax or feel comfortable.

I tried to give the room a chance, hoping the scent might dissipate, but it remained persistent. After a short time, I realized I couldn't stay there any longer as the smell gave me a massive headache, so I called the front office. Brian agreed to move me, but he wanted to check the room out before allowing me to move, to which I agreed. A few minutes later, Brian said he believed the room was okay. He could not tell me if the scent was the same as in my room. I was tired and didn't want to move, only to find out the new room was the same as my current room, so I decided to check out. It was disappointing because the hotel had promising amenities and an appealing exterior, but the odor significantly impacted my stay.

When I requested a full refund due to the deodorizing scent, I was disappointed that my request was denied. Omar Damian, the regional manager, refused because he said I was there for 4 to 5 hours and the room I stayed in was a "customer favorite," then he hung up on me.

Customer service should prioritize guest satisfaction, especially when issues arise that severely affect the quality of the stay.

My stay was from 10:46 p.m. (check-in time) to 2 a.m., only three miserable hours.

Recommendation: Stay Away.

Hello, my name is Esmeralda Noyola. I needed to stay in a room on Saturday, November 2, 2024. I chose La Quinta Inn because it is very close to my home. I booked a room online while standing at the front desk at about 10:46 pm. I chose a downstairs room: room 135. As I walked into the room, I immediately smelled a lovely fragrance. I quickly went to bed, but the fragrance never left. I got up to see where this fragrance was coming from, but I could not figure it out. I tried to go back to bed. I woke up again, and that's when I noticed a white air filter. Thinking that's where the smell was coming from, I tried to turn it off, but being half asleep with a massive headache from the fragrance scent, I could not find the off button. So I unplugged it. But the smell did not go away. The scent is like a fabric softener, as if your face is in it. That's how strong it is.
I did request another room. However, Brian couldn't tell me if there was a scent, so I opted to leave. I did request a refund. Since I booked online Brian said I would have to go through that company. I spoke to Omar Damian, who said he is the regional manager. He refused to refund me. He said that room is a favorite.

La Quinta Inns & Suites Stay away dirty filthy no customer service!!!

We were kept up all night by a neighboring room.

We complained and we got dismissed finally we called the police and the staff dismissed the officer.

This went on all night….

The next day we asked the manager Esmeralda Garcia for a refund she offered 10% discount! WOW! She has no business as a manager! Stay some where else everyone. It was so horrible and scary that I am going to make this my life long mission to spread the word about all Windham hotels. They suck and they lost a life long customer and I will make sure they lose many more!

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham DFW Airport West-Bedford. Did shuttle me to the airport at 3:00 AM, but when I arrived back, called for shuttle when I returned a week later. Said they no longer provide that service. My reservations were set up in January. I made reservations here specifically for the Park Sleep and Fly services. They should of honored there services as advertised.

La Quinta Inns & Suites Offer for free night

While making a reservation for LaQuinta, I was forwarded to Barkley CC to receive that night free if I applied and was accepted for the card. I was to be sent back to that page to finish my reservation. I was accepted and never could return to the reservation page to get credit for my stay. I was upset about not receiving the offer. I even called Barkley and they couldn't/wouldn't do anything about it. Please help. Thank you.

La Quinta Inns & Suites Refund promised

I booked room for my son 1/10/2025 for 7 nights. Only stayed one night. The General manager called me said they were kicking my son out because he took too much breakfast. She said she would refund the room for $444.14.
General Manager said her father in law is sheriff and she would call to have my son removed. I went and packed his stuff, he had already left.
Was only refunded $93.11.
I want the rest of my refund for the 6 days room was not used.
This situation was not handled in a professional manner.

Your son got kicked out for eating too much breakfast. I have never heard of such an absurd thing. Fight it. As far as I am concerned, there is no such thing as eating "too much breakfast." It is first come, first served, while it lasts. Even if they did have a limit on the amount of breakfast you can eat they should have stated this, or given a simple warning.

La Quinta Inns & Suites Lodging at LaQuinta Amarillo, TX

We are Platinum Wyndham members and try to stay at your properties on our travels. We recently stayed at La Quinta Inn/Amarillo Mid-city on 12/12/24 and had a bad experience. Conf. #88841EE054599. My husband took a bath the night we arrived, opened the drain and the next morning the bathroom, sink area and part of the bed area was flooded. We used most of the towels to mop up the water. I almost fell. When we told the lady at the Front Desk about it and asked for a refund or even a discount, she said, "Well, you stayed the night didn't you. You could have let us know and we would have moved you to another room." and then she chuckled and slid the Folio across for me to sign. She didn't even apologize. How could we have let her know about it, when we didn't even know about it till we woke up the next morning. Her smug and rude attitude was totally unprofessional and unacceptable. We would like a refund, a discount, a free night or at least1,000 points. Thank you, Brian & Nikina Whitaker

La Quinta Inns & Suites Horrible Management and Ownership

Management is so disrespectful and ghetto, the owner allows this to go and pretends that he will fix the situation, after standing up for myself I was bullied and then terminated, all while guests were present and the owner stood by and did nothing. This particular hotel has lost numerous employees because Gabby fires them or the quit due to how they are being treated. This is a major hotel chain, when I reach out to corporate, I was advised that all LaQuinta's are franchised, I was provided the contact information for this hotel, and have yet to receive a response. Something needs to be done about owners allowing upper management to bully anyone that goes against Gabby and stands up for themselves. It's never ok to put derogatory comments up about anyone, yet alone someone that has been terminated

Call in to reserv a room on 10 18 2o24 I was told room will be ready at 1 o clock on 10 19 2024 went to check in at 115 am room was not ready lady told me she had another room she will put me in we n went to the funeral and came back to the room one thing the window was broke and went in try to close the blinds the curtains was all tore went to office to complan and the guy at the desk came looked at it pulled the curtains together and staple them together I was not satisfief with this stay

La Quinta Inns & Suites Return of property

Sent request to Sherri Scott.

Writing for your help in this matter. On September 17th we flew from Pittsburgh, PA to Panama City Beach for vacation. We booked the La Quinta hotel through 9/24 and then extended our reservation thru 9/25. On Thursday, 9/19 we went over to Mobile, Alabama for a food tour and from there decided to go over to New Orleans for a day or 2. However, I had some unplanned medical issues and was admitted to the hospital in New Orleans. Due to the lengthy drive back to Panama City and the expected hurricane we have decided not to drive back to Panama City Beach.

We asked to have the luggage and clothing from the hotel shipped to our home address in Pittsburgh; however, we are not getting any cooperation with the people at the hotel. Initially they said they would pack our belongings but would not take them to UPS. We hired a courier to pick up the package at the hotel and deliver it to UPS. We were told by the hotel to call at 8:15 am when the courier arrived and give verbal permission for them to accept the package. We called at 8:15am and gave verbal permission. We received a message from the courier later that indicated they were not able to get the package because the hotel would not give them the information they needed. With the medical issues I had to deal with over the last few days this has been a great source of anxiety not only to have to make calls and arrangements but to not have the cooperation needed to do so. Any help you can give me on this would be greatly appreciated.

La Quinta Inns & Suites Accident Report

My family had a reservation for four nights at the LaQuinta located in Burleson, Texas on September 8-9, 2024.
Our stay was cut short because of an accident at the indoor pool the first night. We were swimming in the indoor pool on 9/8/24 around 8:45 pm and I slipped on the wet tile surrounding the pool breaking my arm. This accident resulted in a visit to the hospital and subsequent specialists.
The ceramic/porcelain tile is a poor choice and a hazard to use around a body of water.

La Quinta Inns & Suites Policy

My stay of 2 days came with a surprise. Turns out a $400 charge for lighting a candle in the room. I am a stage 4 cancer patient and ocassionally I get out. I was attending my nieces wedding in Las Vegas , I was to give her away.

I sometimes burn a scented candle in a rented room to masks unpleasant oders lingering from previous patrons being colon or perfume smells. I was surprised 1 month later with a $400 charge on my CC. After fighting with the bank and visa, the charge i contested was reinstated, backed up by La Quinta with an air sampling in the room for SMOKING ? hence my surprise being a cancer patient.

Now after speaking with the hotel it's all in the contract you sign , you cant even light a match in a room without setting off their SYSTEM , from which automatically sends you a bill or charges your CC after you leave.

Claimed loss: $400

Desired outcome: People stop booking rooms with La Quinta Inns and suites. I know its my last time.

La Quinta Inns & Suites Room and management

Room was terrible when entering the smell of mold and mold spores all over bed and pillows and the A/ C was not cooling. We immediately left room to go back to service desk to let them know we were not going to stay and wanted our money refunded back to our credit card and leave. When asking manger to credit money back they said it would be 20- 30 minute wait to credit money back to credit card, while waiting other customers was wanting refunds as well with same complaints about rooms, mold, no A/C and dirty rooms. Customers were complaining about finding used condoms found under bed found by children inspecting rooms. There were 4 customers along with ourselves all wanting rooms refunded. Manager would not come out office to deal with customers complaints about rooms.

Desired outcome: Refund back on our credit card and we believe this place should be inspecting by corporate and fix problems or be shut down.

You need to take action immediately. Go back to the service desk and demand to speak with the manager face-to-face. Make it clear that you won't leave until your refund is processed. If the manager refuses to come out, create a scene if necessary. Let everyone in the lobby know about the filthy conditions and poor service.

Use your phone to document everything—take photos of the mold, dirty rooms, and anything else that’s unacceptable. Record your interactions if possible. If they continue to stall, threaten to call the health department and report the hazardous conditions. Don’t let them ignore you. Be loud, be firm, and don't leave until you get your money back. Make them understand that you won’t tolerate such disrespect and poor service.

The managers that fired me for no reason kept my last paychecks and had me banned from the property I did nothing wrong their names are Kenny and moe. La Quinta Inns & Suites The service wouldn't take our visa card

The shower couldn't regulate, couldn't stay as we want, also the fan in the bathroom very crappy also the tub has an hole every time step my boyfriend cut bottom of his foot black junk coming out, the sink couldn't regulate too, the microwave malfunctioning, the television couldn't get the sound up at all, so we are not very happy about this hotel at all. Nov. 22, 23 2023 A $250 charge showed up on my Credit card I thought it was a deposit not returned days later called front desk --turns out they charged for Smoking in Room I do not smoke, my wife does not smoke and our 1 year old baby does not smoke The whole hall smelled like weed They said I have to talk to manager for 5 days in a row the manager does not return message they sain in from 9 - 3 everyday when I call he is out to lunch call back in an hour but they have no idea where he is I want the 250 dollar credit for the fraudulent charge or I will contact the highest authourities Bernard Jones [protected]@aol.com

La Quinta Inns & Suites My room

Well I booked a room online on the 5th of December 2023 and it didn’t have a fridge or microwave as stated in the purchase. So the next morning, I went to front desk to change rooms and he charged me 20$ for the upgrade which it wasn’t, he moved me next door and this unit had a broken fridge which leaked tons of water on floor and also has cockroaches as well, I’m scared to talk to the front desk guy because he is so rude and hostile. But I got ripped off and shouldn’t also be berated by the help

La Quinta Inns & Suites Our room at 2824 South 188th, Street, Seattle- has no hot water for our entire stay.

There is not much to add. We had no hot water the entire time. We were told a boiler was being fixed. We saw no repair staff the entire time. We saw the place was being re-modeled, but we saw no work being done. No work trucks were there- the site was shut down probably due to the long weekend for Thanksgiving. We asked if we could have a kettle to heat water. The answer was no. We asked if we could have a container to get hot water- the answer was no. We were not given any discount- only told we could cancel our reservation when we arrived on the evening of the 22nd. You appreciate that rooms were unavailable due to the long weekend. Claimed loss: Our loss was we could not have a hot shower. We could not clean ourselves. We were not given anything other than a false message that it would be repaired before we checked out. It was not working when we left.

Desired outcome: Some sort of consideration for our next stay. Your hotel could have phoned us in advance- the boiler had been broken for a number of days. The staff was very polite, and they told us they were embarrassed.

La Quinta Inns & Suites Hotel stay

This hotel is awful! I made reservations for a friend and myself for an award luncheon pertaining to my job. I had never stayed in this hotel before. But, when I arrived and got checked in and went to our room that’s when the nightmare began. Before getting to the room the elevator, whole floor and room smelled like onions. When I got into the room the room obviously smelled like onions, it was very obvious that this particular room had not been serviced in a long time. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, the sliding door to the patio would not open, the tv would not work (no signal) and then it would not cut off, the air in the room was stale and the air conditioner would not work, we had ordered food from one of the places on a pamphlet that was at the front desk and the refrigerator in the room would not work or keep our food cold and my food spoiled. ($38.00 was wasted!). We did not have enough towels in our room, and there was a broken hair dryer sitting on the sink, and the door would not lock. We called the front desk and informed them of our problems with our tv and was told to unplug the tv from the outlet and re-plug and that should work. We did and nothing! I went to the front desk, and he gave me a huge roll of toilet paper (see attached) He told us he had been told to give guest a box of tissues for toilet paper because they were out. So, then they exchanged our room and moved us 2 floors down. We took this to our other room with us just in case there wasn’t any there either. When we got to that room it was obvious, they were doing renovations because the floor down the hall was ripped/ tore up. We entered our new assigned room, and it was somewhat better than the 1st one but it still had a stench in the hall and the air in the room was stale and old (once again from being vacant and uncleaned), the patio door still would not open, the tv did work and the air conditioner worked (barely). There still wasn’t enough towels (we had 1 towel each), and the toilets were so low to the ground it felt like we were sitting on a child’s daycare toilet! Very hard to get up from! And the toiletries (soap, shampoo, lotion) were so small it was ridiculous! My hand was bigger than they were! (See example:)

It was like everything was made for a child! We had also went downstairs to the hotel market to get snacks only to find out that the prices were ridiculously high, and the food was old and had not been removed from the shelf. We picked up a package of pickles that were smoochy! We told the front desk clerk, and he acted as if he didn’t know asked us if they all were that way. So, we brought them to him, and he also saw for himself that they were but still did not remove them from the shelf. (Nasty!) The very next morning, we went to utilize the free breakfast that supposedly came with the stay, and it was pitiful! They had juice, coffee, powdered eggs, no meat at all, cold biscuits & bagels (plain & raisin), and cereal with milk. That’s it! There were 2 waffle makers plugged up on a counter and no mix for them! Just awful! I asked a worker if they worked (she didn’t speak English), and shook her head and said, “no work” (meaning the waffle makers). Then another guest also went to that same worker to ask if they had seen her clothes that were being cleaned. (Same response) and said that someone had stolen her clothes! I then made a statement to another guest, that I was glad that I had put my “DO NOT DISTURB” sign on my door before coming down to the breakfast. And that guest said to me that it didn’t matter because her daughter had done the same thing, and they still tried to enter the room! She said if it had not have been for her daughter locking the door from the inside they would have succeeded. This was very disturbing & upsetting to me and my guest. So, we immediately went back to our room and began to get dressed to leave. Upon leaving I informed the front desk clerk of the incidents and problems we had experienced and asked for a refund. She apologized for the inconvenience but informed us that she did not have the authorization to refund anything but she would let her manager know and have them contact us. She also had informed us the manager was on their way in and they would contact us shortly and we left. We were very hungry and very dissatisfied! I patiently waited for a return call and had reached out to the hotel several times only to be told the manager was on a conference call and would call me back. This happened several times and no calls were made to me. I then called back to ask what time the manager was to leave for the day and was informed she leaves at 6pm., so I continued to wait and still no call! I started getting angry. So I then I called at 5 min till 6 pm and then was I told she had already left. I then became very annoyed and angry! So, I asked the clerk for the managers name to which he said “Nicole”. And when I asked for her last name he then he put me on hold and she miraculously answered the phone after, I had been put off several times and then told she had already left the premises. “Go figure”. She had me to re-explain the whole situation again, because she did not get the full explanation from the front desk clerk of what had happened. So, I did. And she told me she could only refund me $25 of my money back. I was not at all pleased! After going around and around I had expressed to her that I had paid thru “Booking.com” $81.60 and $50 (incidentals) & that I was requesting a full refund. She kept giving me excuses like; “we have been undergoing renovations”, or “why didn’t I ask for a full refund the night before”, and /or “you could have gone to one of our sister hotels”. To which I informed her that I had just traveled 2 ½ hours to get there for a function for my job, and I had never been there before and I didn’t know that area, and that I didn’t think I would have to deal with or run into the problems I was faced with. She also said she could give me credit/ points to stay again at another hotel (sister hotel) I again said “NO”. She was being very vague, and non-understanding of my situation. I told her I was still not happy with just getting back $25 and that I wanted a full refund! She again was being uncooperative and still giving me excuses and getting very condescending with me. She then gave me another $10 off my bill. Still, I wasn’t happy I wanted a full refund! I tried being as nice as I could, but it wasn’t working so I took the $10 credit and ended the call and decided to write to the corporate office for my refund. I have stayed in La Quinta hotels before and never have I ever! Received such awful service and I work hard for my money too and I did not expect to receive that kind of treatment that I received from the hotel that I stayed at! If they were undergoing renovations, then they should have closed or well informed their guest of this so they could have had the choice to choose somewhere else to stay. Even the front desk clerk said he had been informed that he was to hand out tissue boxes to the guest for toilet paper because they didn’t have any. I mean really! I came to Nashville to stay for my 25th service award for my job, but never did I expect to have to stay in such an awful place and get awful service as well as expect to pay for it either! I am requesting a refund of my entire stay back as well as the money for the food that I purchased that spoiled because of a refrigerator that did not work to keep my food cold like it was supposed to. I do not want credit for another stay in your hotel or sister hotel because after the experience I just encountered I had my stay ruined and will forever remember my 25th anniversary with a bad taste in my mouth. I do not wish to stay in another La Quinta or any other hotel affiliation. I just want my money back please!
