Hi, I am trying to get a full refund for a room that I booked but never stayed in on the 9th of Dec. Here are two videos showing bugs in the room when I entered it plus screenshots of both my reservations that I made on Dec 9th when I checked into the La Quinta Wyndham Hotel in Bloomington and another screenshot showing when I booked a different room at Comfort Inn the same evening because I left La Quinta and did not stay the night there. I was only there about 20 minutes and then I checked out because the room smelled like pee and also had several bugs including a roach. First I was told by the lady at the front desk I had to stay there for 30 minutes before I could switch rooms if I wanted to but I do not want that, I asked for a refund and told her I was leaving to another hotel. She got angry and walked away on me. When I asked her to talk to me about the issue the lady at the front desk came back out from the office and then told me that I had to get a hold of the Internet company (brek.com) whom I booked through and she couldn’t help me any further. So I did and a representative from Brek called La Quinta to talk to the lady at the front desk for a refund but Brek told me that they talked to her once and she verbally agreed to the refund but they needed her to send an email confirmation in writing. She never did and did not answer after that when they called her back. They said they tried to contact her numerous times that night and she stopped answering the phone the rest of the evening. They told me that I also should call you guys and have you email them an approval for the refund to [protected]@brek.com They told me they would also continue to try to get ahold of her the next day to resolve this issue for me. They said you have to send the email to [protected]@brek.com I have also included screenshots showing you that I had booked the room with La Quinta around 5 pm on the 9th at first but I did not get there until later that evening because of the snowstorm we had and I only stayed about 20 minutes before I left and booked another room at the Comfort in around 7 pm that same evening on the 9th because of the issue with the bugs in the room at La Quinta and also the smell of pee. This is more proof that I did not stay the night at La Quinta at all. Why would I have booked a separate room for the same evening at another hotel if I stayed at La Quinta? That would make no sense at all. I would appreciate a phone call or email back regarding this matter. I want a full refund plus my $100 deposit back. This needs to be addressed immediately. I am documenting all of this and my emails as well in case you would like to go to court. Thank you.
