Kwik Kar — oil change

My name is Kristen Waters and I feel ripped off!! I just took my Truck in to have a simple oil change done at the Kwik Kar on University in Fort Worth Texas - 06/20/2019. Operation number #8593. They advised that it would be $79.99 right up front for Synthetic Mobile 1 oil. Well almost an hour later, the technician comes in and states that they were able to change my oil, however they broke off something called a housing unit cap (some part) which caused a leak. He stated that he replaced that part which stopped the leak, but that I WOULD HAVE TO PAY FOR IT. So the $79.99 jumped up to $150!! I absolutely refused to pay for a part that they broke! The tech removed the part fee, but still charged me for the extra oil they needed to use because of the leak due to the part they broke and the labor!! I am outraged for being taken advantage of. I request a refund of the labor and extra oil!!

    Kwik Kar — shoddy workmanship-overcharged

    Took my 2015 Lexis RX350 to their Anna, Texas location for a simple oil change. Got a bill for $86.00, never bothered to ask if I wanted oil, a blend or synthetic, just went for the jugular. Said I would never go back again. Took it to Firestone in McKinney, Texas this time, showed me they put in the wrong filter, way too small. [censored], Cripes... can't anybody do anything right anymore? HATE THIS LOCATION- AVOID IT LIKE THE PLAGUE.

      Kwik Kar — brake service

      I took my Subaru forrester into Kwik Kar on June 22 to have the brakes replaced because Subaru told me that they needed to be replaced. I was told that the back brakes were worst than the front and that I had life left on the front. I decided to have all 4 brakes replaced because my car is only 3 years old and I always attempt to balance my service s on my vehicle..
      After the service was complete I noticed that my car was squealing when I stopped. I took it back on the following Saturday to let them hear the noise. They drove the car and said that they didn't hear anything and that if it happens again to bring it back the following week. I heard the squealing all weekend so I took it back the following week. The manager told me that it couldn't be the brakes and that it was possibly the rotors. I had Kwik Kar to replace the rotors. I took the car on Thursday and again my car is making a horrific squealing noise when I stop. My car was not making this noise until had them to service my brakes.
