Knott's Berry Farm review: Hotel stay and park visit

My Granddaughter Zoey is turning 8 years old. She has Autism and we picked Knott's Berry Farm in Buena Park to be her first amusement park experience. I booked a hotel room at Knott's Hotel for January 15th and we would go to the park on her birthday January 16th... we kept it a surprise until we got there. 🙂

We get to the hotel to check in... there are way too many employees chatting in little circles. They do not acknowledge me and would not make eye contact with me. I have Bell's Palsy right now and my face is paralyzed on one side. This young girl helps me and I explain that my husband could not come at the last minute (he is working on a multi-million-dollar project right now for the City for Rancho). We called the hotel before we left and they told me as long as I had his credit card and we had the same last name that it would be okay for check in. 

The young girl helping me goes over to the group of chatting individuals and I try to talk to them as well and they ignore me. The young girl comes back and says that she would need my husband to pull up his credit card account and show her that the charge went thru. Doesn't make sense but I will try.

I call my husband who is not tech savvy and he cannot log on cuz he is old school. I ask if I can face time and show him and his driver's license and they ignored me. By this time, I am crying. My granddaughter (who is autistic) is inconsolable. I am trying to explain my situation. They would not hear me out.

Next thing I know, I am surrounded by three people who bullied me out of the building and said they called the policed and that I was going to be arrested. All of this in front of my granddaughter. She is completely traumatized by their actions and this ordeal. They did not have to treat us like criminals.

Your employees need to show more empathy in situations. Not everything is black and white. My granddaughter said this was her worst birthday ever.
