Kane's Furniture Kanes protection plan

ServeCo which is the company Kanes recommended for furniture insurance came to my house on May 27th and assured me that the broken motor on my Avalon Dual Power sofa was a covered repair. We are now approaching 3 months with no update or even any communication. Although Kanes is not the repair company they assured me that ServeCo was dependable and trustworthy. The way things stand right now I can't see me or my family or anyone I know doing business with Kanes in the future.

Desired outcome: Only the motor replacement as that is what was promised.

Kane's Furniture Essentially every piece of furniture that I furnished my entire house with from kanes.

Shortly after closing on my home sale, my husband and I went to canes and fort Myers to purchase essentially an entire house full of furniture, with the exception of 2 bedrooms. All the furniture was beautiful in store entire master bedroom suite, living room furniture, brand new dining set. Needless to say a very short time after purchase, we noticed that the chairs on the dining room set, which were fabric that were supposedly Scotch, guarded against Danes, were getting stains on them, even from water we did call and complain not much was done about it. Was our end table, it was worked, we had to wait quite some time for a replacement and we had to pick it up. I can provide pictures of the end tables. My bedroom suite, the wood and I use that term lightly is basically shearing off and no, we do not keep any liquids on them. The only item we really did have not had an issue with was the bed frame itself. My king size mattress literally is one of the worst matches I've ever slept on the entire circumference of the mattress is warped and points downward. I will tell you this for over 7000 dollars. I would not in a million years, go back and buy new furniture from canes this is all from December of 2019. I guess it was just a really expensive lesson learned, because when I was calling about the end table, I quickly realized that I was going to get nowhere with exchanges or refunds. I can provide pictures with all of this..

Desired outcome: my desired outcome was pretty much denied and I was giving excuses over and over, especially in regards to the fabric on the kitchen table set

Kane's Furniture Misleading to customers by sales associate

I bought two sofas (Sales order # 0429318QD77) $ 1699.99 for each sofa and delivered on 17th may. I got regular discount of 20% for one sofa. The manager Chuck from Brandon store mentioned to match price for 10 days from delivery and the sales associate Robert Dalbey was witness on the day. That's reason I set up delivery date to stay in range incase price drop due to Memorial day sale. Due to Memorial day sale, there was discount of 20% for both sofa. I went to store and contacted Robert again on 26th may asking to match the sales price of Memorial day. He mentioned that because Chuck told me for 10 days, I have to see Chuck on 27th because he was not in store. I called again on 17th and Chuck changed his statement that he did not tell period to match price for 10 days. In short your associates make incorrect statement just to sale the product. You can see from your record that I bought all my furniture from Kane's for last 20 years. I am very disappointed this type of service receiving from Kane's as a result loosing about $400.00. If Chuck would have been told seven days, I could set up delivery date such a way to stay in that range to get advantage of Memorial Day sales. I also represented my concern to store manager Joe, but he supported Chuck.

Desired outcome: I would like to see refund

Kane's Furniture Sofa delivery and malfunction

We purchased a poer sofa, manual love seat and lazyboy recliner from Kane's in Nov of 2022. I was in the hospital when the furnature was delivered. When I came home I found the 2 back rests of the sofa and the backrest for the lazyboy were lose and not installed properly on the track. After getting it put together properly, I sat on the sofa and found the recliner leaned heavily to the left. There is a substantial separation between the recliner and the back of the chair to the right. I looked under the sofa and found a bent bracket and frame. We called Kane's and had a service person come out. He said the mechanism needed to be ordered and replaced. He said it would take 4-6 weeks to get the part. About 8 weeks later and we're now being told the part is on backorder and won't be in for a month. I spoke to someone at the store and was advised they would speak to a manger and I would be called back. No call back. I called again the next day and was told a manager would call me back.finally received a call from the manager who told me what I already knew. I told him the couch was messed up when they delivered it. He apologized and said there was nothing they could do. Now I am sitting post surgery in a brand new broken couch that I can't fix, but have to make monthly payments on.

Desired outcome: Immediate repair or replacement of the sofa

Kane's Furniture Recliner chair

My 76 year old mother bought an electric recliner chair from Kanes. It took months to get. Finally it was delivered. Within 5 minutes the chair stopped working. My mother was stuck in the chair and family members had to come to get her out. Kanes sent a repair man who said he might be able to get parts for it. Keep in mind it is a brand new $800 chair! Told them to come get the chair and refund my mother. They DO NOT accept returns! On a BRAND NEW $800 CHAIR which she had for 5 minutes! Why would she want another one? This one broke in 5 min! Terrible customer service. Terrible management! Shame on your Kanes!.

Kane's Furniture Protection plan

I bought letter living room set and protection plan for it.
Protection plan was from uv3masterguard.
I was told any accidental stains, rips, tears, burns.
I had two stains on my sofa and submitted claim to uv3masterguard or Guad Maidona since he is only one I could contact. He answers email, phone and send me mail.
I submitted claim trough email and get answer that he received it.
Seven days later I received paperwork in mail that my case was closed due missing information.
I did miss name of the city, invoice number and picture of whole sofa.
I did send my invoice from Kane’s furniture that had both and city and invoice number on it. So the only thing I was missing is picture of whole sofa but I did send pictures of stained sofa.
He didn’t want to send me email to tell me that I miss those items but send me mail that my case was closed.
Also called him to get some explanation but guy is so rude and unprofessional.
Just to let you know that I’m very disappointed in Kane’s and who you working with.
I did spend a lot of money in Kane’s.
Never again I will buy anything from you guys.
I did call Kane’s too but they don’t want to do anything with protection plan that they sold me.
All I know that you sold me that protection plan and you are responsible as much as uv3masterguard.

Desired outcome: All money back for protection planOr have someone clean stain on my furniture.

Kane's Furniture Customer service, delivery and schedules

I am upset and regretful that I have delegated my trust to buy furniture in Kanes.

We live in Miami, and we decided to do this tour and buy with you who are 4 hours from us, the sales person of Ft Myers store was quite good, we bought part of the furniture because in these circumstances, we decided to furnish what we lack plus the other two condo and another property in Miami and my Livingroom unfortunately this will be the last time you heard from us we have decide to visit others store in Miami, We have plans to buy all from you but to begin with.

We have 2 deliveries so far, paying a moving company 1,000 each time, totaling $2000.00 we do understand that the other piece we are missing will be available Nov 3 them they say Nov 25 and now dec 6, I will never again buy or recommended Kanes Furniture to anybody, customer service sucks, product knowledge NONE, customer service skills do not EXIST, Knowledge of deliveries do not EXIST, it looks like they play by ears, my second delivery one of the drawers broken, they give you the furniture like you buying fish on street market, not even that, I wish you luck, but I don't think your company will survive with all the problems they have, those people work with not training at all, I will take my business somewhere else, my words experience ever.

Kane's Furniture product and staff

We purchased a lift chair on May 20th 2022 we were told the chair would be with us within two weeks. We did not get the chair when promised. After weeks later the chair comes. They dropped it off and left. We use the chair and now it is broken. We call and they inform us it will maybe three weeks before a Tech will come out. After complaining over and over they sent a person a bit sooner. He said the motor was shot and had to be replaced. They sent another chair. Four weeks + later. New chair the heat device does not work and the remote does not work. We called again and spoke to Izzy on 9/6/22 she said we would have a new remote by 9/30/22 We were tired of all this run around. We asked for a refund. Izzy talked to the manager and they said we will get you a new chair. We asked how long. She had no answer. We told her we want the chair by 10/18/22. That call came to an end. On 10/4/22 we get a motor type device in the mail. We called and asked them why did we get this. The store had no clue to why. They looked up when the chair would be coming. They said end of Oct 2022. I asked to speak to a manager. I was told no they will call you back. Keep in mind when I called the phone rang and rang and rang. I had to hang up and called back. This time after 15 rings they picked up. I told the charming person on the phone I should not have to wait to talk to Mgr. The girl Izzy was not in as well. I told the women I will call my attorney and hung up. Now the best part. They had the audacity to call my 77 years old mother. I answered her phone. It was the same lady and she wanted to know who my attorney was. I told her none of your business. You will here from him when you here from him. She said no I want to know. I told her I want to play for Mets. But that is not going to happen either. A man in the back was laughing. I must have been on speaker. I ended the call. So my 77 Year Old sick mother is still with a broken chair. One last thing. All the people that delivered the chair or came to fix/look at the chair all said that this company is way short handed. Like this is my issue.

Desired outcome: We want a full refund!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kane's Furniture An order I purchased 9 months ago

I placed an order 9 months ago it showed pending on my Kanes credit card I even received the kanes Email confirmation. In February I had another bedroom set that was on back order and reached out to check on this set and was told she couldn’t find it. Never called me never asked for any additional information she just said she didn’t see it. Here we are in June I still don’t have my bedroom set. They are telling me it was an IT error and all they can do is price match my set to what I would have originally paid 9 months ago! NO! That is not near enough compensation for not having a bedroom set for 9 months, sleeping on a sofa for 9 months with 5 herniated discs in my neck. Multiple emails to online services, web services and a supervisor named Michelle who can’t communicate to web services on what we have talked about over the phone. This isssue needs to be resolved I have used Kanes to furnish my entire house, as well as my friends have and I have allowed 9 months to get this corrected and I want this fixed.

Desired outcome: I want my bedroom set and mattress not only at the price 9 months ago a free delivery and set up charge and 20% off I believe that is fair

Kane's Furniture Bedroom

After 10 months l am still waiting on replacement bed frame which was damaged upon original delivery in August 2021. After many false promises and no one showing up l think it's absolutely disgusting after l spent over $10,000 in the Fort Myers Florida store! Last time l spoke to a manager who assured me he was arranging a delivery of the replacement, still waiting on his phone call.

Kane's Furniture Complete House Furniture

We bought a lot of furniture from Kane's for the whole house and paid 100% for all by September. Yet to receive 75% of the furniture.

First delivery on 11/30 - the delivery team was awesome took the time to install and clean up the mess. Was happy with the team that I requested this team again to no avail

Second delivery on 12/3 - was not at home but they were supposed to bring a bunkie board as guest room bed mattress is some 4 feet high and someone will hurt themselves soon. To-date no bunkie board to fix the issue at hand

3rd delivery on 12/24 - The delivery team was so rude and arrogant. Did not clean up the mess, did not want to test if the sectional work, did not want to deliver the furniture they had in the truck, brought one wrong piece and was upset that i did not take delivery.

However serious crime is to sign for me as i never inspected the furniture and the head delivery team did not ask me to sign and signing for me is illegal. I take issue with this seriously.

Lastly I want to know when all of the furniture's i paid for 100% in September will be delivered so i can rest in peace. I have breakfast chairs with no table, I have sectional furniture that is not complete, i have bar chairs with no bar and the list goes on. Im told Wayfair delivers furniture in 3 weeks and all in good condition. Hate to switch now when I placed the order in early July and paid for it fully in September. Kane's has been enjoying my money but i have no furniture.

Desired outcome: Deliver all my furniture and ensure they all work perfectly and in good condition

Kane's Furniture Poor warranty support

Purchased a sectional, 7 pieces, two motorized recliners, 6 years ago. Came with a warranty. All pieces look and feel brand new, except one. You cannot lay on that side due to it being 2" shorter than the others. Called to have it looked at under the warranty and received a call that it is not covered. Sinking they say is due to that seat is sat in more, well there are more than one person in this family and we all don't sit on that piece at the same time. Plus there is a massasge chair that my husband sits in the most when he is home from work. Kanes furniture talks as good talk, but performance and support after the sale is extremely poor. I would recommend shopping elsewhere!

Kane's Furniture Stain on headrest of love seat

Bought the powered love seat and powered couch with the powered recliner as a set for 3651.64 from Kane's at the Brandon Fl. store on 12/05/2019, Sales Order # 1126918PC73 stating that it had a five limited leather warranty after purchasing the UV3 leather protection kit with the purchase. To my amazement after calling the store on 3/8/2020 I was given the run around that the stain on the loveseat headrest was not covered under warranty, even after only 1yr and 2months So if you purchase a couch or loveseat don't set or rest your head on it. So I went to the manufacture UV3 Masterguard to file a Warranty Service Request and got a no for service. They suggested I have an outside company repair it
costing me $200-$300.

Kane's Furniture dining and kitchen chairs

I have spent thousands of dollars at Kane's. I furnished 4 houses. I am am so upset and furious that way I was treated by Destiny. She provided no customer service. She doesn't know the first thing about keeping a customer. She is definitely in the wrong department. She doesn't help customers. I had an issue with brand new 3 chairs that I need replaced. I will never buy another item from Kane's. The 3 chairs are only about $80 chair. It's not the money. It's the principle. Have someone contact me that cares. [protected]. My name is Jackie. Kane's Furniture purchase of sofa sleeper. I am complaining about unethical behaviour.

The item was purchased on 11/18/2019. The customer code is BRYAl11306. Sales order number 1118918C067. I wanted a twin or full size sofa bed or sleeper. The salesman wanted a sale desperately. Today 11/19/2019 it was delivered by some moving company. The movers (1american moving llc 813 374-5643) delivered this huge queen sofa with a pump up mattress which we did not want. They further stated that Kanes does this all the time. Sells floor furniture so it cannot be sent back and then sues their customers. This sofa bed could go through the front door of our home. It had to be carried around the rear and brought in through the lanai entry and sliding door to the living room. The movers then tried to get it into the bedroom and it could not fit through the entrance. In fact we tried to use an alternate bedroom but it could not fit into any of them. The movers collected $120 delivery fee and noted the receipt (sleeper did not go in room as intended) and left the huge thing on its side in our living room. We are sick over this. The sleeper mechanism can be taken out with 4 screws. This will make the sleeper much lighter to maneuver around your door frame. Many times we have needed to do this inorder to fit in a difficult location. Good luck!

Kane's Furniture 004514938

I purchased this sofa 8/31/2016. I also was promised that it would last because of the life time guarantee on the product. The sofa is suppose to be all leather in the areas that touch your body. My sofa has such a fine cover of leather that it is pealing in many areas. I phoned the store and was abruptly told that nothing was covered and proceeded to transfer me around the store and finally hung up on me. No one offered to look at my problem at all. They would have had no idea what I was talking about by not even looking at it. I am very dissatisfied with Kanes. The sales order number is 0825606UW72 - Sales person Mary Fuss. I would like this item repaired and if not possible returned.

Kane's Furniture poor product and bad customer service

Purchased a sofa in 2015 and was sold on the faux leather fabric because ours sales rep told us it was proven to hold up better than real leather. We were also told that should there ever be a problem there was a lifetime warranty. In less than 3 years the fabric started falling apart. It is just my husband and I, no pets, no children and we are senior citizens who are not home several months out of the year. I have spoken to several different people in customer service and they all say it is just normal wear and tear and they dont cover that. SO DONT BUY FROM KANES BECAUSE THEY ONLY EXPECT THEIR PRODUCTS TO LAST AROUND 3 YEARS NO MATTER WHAT THEY TELL YOU. I will never buy from them again and neither should you.

Kane's Furniture Sectional in need of repair

This began a year ago when I requested a repair for my sectional. After 6 months of waiting for parts to come in, the store manager called me and agreed to give me a store credit because the furniture was discontinued and they were unable to get replacement parts. The sectional, which became painful to sit on, had been in storage for waiting for repair. I purchased a replacement through a competitor so I did not have an immediate need to replace the original. I was never told to continue to store this non-repairable furniture so I gave it away to a needy family.
This past week I decided to use my credit for another bedroom set. After spending time with my wonderful sales rep I was told at the customer service desk that they will need the furniture back. When I told them I gave it away to a needy family they were adamant that I get it back or that was just too bad. They also got noticeably upset with me for being upset. I would have gladly returned it had I known. I had no use for it. I feel like I've been given every excuse not to repair or replace this furniture.

Kane's Furniture 3 piece sofa set

In 2013 we purchased a 3 piece sofa set from Kane's Furniture in Lakeland, Florida. We purchased it because we have had the same furnished rental for 12 years, excellent landlords but the sofa needed replacing. Whatever we purchased was going to be the property of the owners, not us, therefore we were looking for something reasonable. We saw this set on the floor, clearance, but nothing was mentioned of "as is" and of course no questions asked as the set was in perfect condition. Last year we started to see cracking in the material, but this year, it is deteriorating before our eyes. I have followed-up with customer service, the Store Manager, the BBB and the Tampa Bay Times, with no avail. They claim, and unfortunately it is on my bill that it is sold "as is".

I have recently found that Kane's Pinellas Park in Florida have a lawsuit against Southern Motion the manufacturer for this exact reason. I quote from the newspaper posting, "After receiving more than 1, 000 customer complaints in 2013 alone, Pinellas Park based Kane's Furniture has filed a lawsuit against Mississippi furnituremaker Southern Motion for what the local company is calling defective "bonded leather" items. I also quote, ""Bonded leather" is a bit of a misnomer: It's not 100% leather at all, but less than 17%, according to Kane's Customers' complaints centered on Southern Motion's furniture peeling and flaking."

My case ID# with the BBB is [protected], the cost was $1016.49 and it is stated as Demarco model DMRC3P, SO#0207308UK44, Cust Cd: 221504. I would have been satisfied last month with a replacement of equal value, but today the 3 pieces are going to the dump as we are out of pocket for this unit and have to purchase another.

I ask why would they sell this product in 2013 with this lawsuit outstanding? There motto is" Quality so good, it's guaranteed for life"

Kane's Furniture They told me that they would fix the problem, but after they received money. They refused to do it

We purchased living room set from Kanes Furniture. The set was made from leather and after 2 months it suddenly started to peel off. We called to the customer services and the rep assured us that they would fix the problem. We needed to pay only for the materials. We wired money and now they announced that they could do nothing with this problem. Don’t rely on these guys, because they simply leave you with your problems.
