K10 Rent A Car Ibiza review: scam 13

I hired a car via economy care hire (now zest car rental) in Ibiza in August and on return was informed that the operative dealing with me had "mistakenly" credited my credit card with the amount of the security deposit (600 euro). I was then asked for my card in order for the same amount to be withdrawn and told that these transactions would cancel each other out. When I returned to the UK I discovered the amount had been debited but never credited by K10. I am fighting this via nationwide disputes department and fully intend to trash the dodgy reputation of K10 and question why economy car hire (now ZEST car rental) would deal with such a dangerous outfit.

I wish I had seen these comments before. I rent a car for 4 days in Ibiza and until now I did not receive my money of the deposit back!
I will continue to blast this company as they keep my 300 euros deposit!

I will continue to blast this company as they keep the 450 deposit and NEVER will refund it. They are >NOT a Spanish company but from a northern/eastern european country. It´s a scam and I wouldn´t put it past them to go out at night looking for their own cars to damage. They are a bunch of crooks and shouldn´t be allowed to do business.Waiting at the airport for them...a total LIE! they never intend to pick you up and don´t blink an eye when you show up after wasting 3 hours to get to them. I hope they have not hooked up again with Ryan´s Marina as they promoted it as a good rental car company.Will continue to blast them until they refund my 450!

We rent a car for a fews days from the company K10 in Ibiza! Someone broke the lock and took all our staff we had in the trunk (all of them cost 2000euros). We had rent a different car but at the last moment they gave us one Fiat Panda which is the most common to be broken into! We realized it when we saw the other cars in their parking which had the locks broken too. We were lucky that we didn't pay 400euro for the damages because we had already paid an insurance! They didn't helped us at all, they were very impolite, they gave us fiat panda knowing that will propably will be broken into and they made aν excessive cost for the damages (the lock still worked). The worst company!

This company are a complete joke, avoid at all costs. Wish I'd seen this prior to renting. They've practically stolen over €400 of our deposit and fabricated damage reports. The car was in an atrocious condition when we took delivery of it with scratches and dents. We have had no invoice to justify the work done on the "damage" we supposedly caused and no communication from them whatsoever. Rented through doyouspain.com and they have been equally useless although not in the criminal manner of k10.

Yes indeed, I wish I knew before! At first they looked very amateuristic: fuel tank who was supposed to be full wasn't, the citroen ds we hired was changed for a fiat panda ( same category!?!) and we had to pay extra for returning the car in the morning, out of office hours. We took an extra insurance covering everything except damage underneath and payed 300 euros as a deposit. We never went offroad and my friend is about the most careful driver in the world, we didn't have any problem at all. So we returned the car, no inspection at all. The day after our return they sent us an invoice and photos, supposed to be from our car, supposed to be damage. No proof at all, it could be any car and any time, maybe it was just mud.. Our deposit was taken and nothing we could do. So, stay away as far as you can!

I rented a car for 6 days, from the rental office they sent me to walk to wick up the car outside of the central ibiza (10 min walk) and there they said I can pic up the car at the end of a road (5 min walk) ..actually I had to find myself in a supermarket's car park (looking for the plate number for 10 min).
The seats were salt stained when I picked up the car, so I didn't really care about putting a towel under me when I drive. When I returned the car they charged me with 100 euros because the seats where wet and will leave stain.
Very rude complain solving, had to call the police to give me a claim form. Police is useless, they left after without even saying bye.
All I can say just avoid them!

K10 rent a car ibiza in association with economy car rentals, beware beware.
They are running a big scam and cheating customers with their broken cars. They have worst cars ever. These c - rooks promise 24 hours road side service, but that never works, hired car broke down in 2 days that i rented for a week paid fully. They kept deposit for 450 euro on top of that, whole money was swindled by them with no convincing reason. There was no replacement car and they make all excuses in the world.
They cheated me with 600 euro all together for just usage of one day car. All my gasoline filled in the car was also taken by them, since they gave me empty car.
They promised to pick up on port (As per contract,) , but no one came, they are far away from port, i had to spend 10 euro for taxi to receive the car. Besides when car broke down i had to cough up another 50euro to go back to hotel, leaving their car in the parking lot on the beach in ibiza in the middle of night.
Points to note and reason never to hire car from them
1) they never pick you up at port, you need to take taxi to go to their office, though in contract they are suppose to meet at port.
2) their car is always empty with gasoline and always substandard, poorly kept up cars.
3) 24 hours road side assistance is total lie, it took 20 hours for them to send tow truck
4) they keep deposit which is never returned for one reason or another.
5) these c - rooks never honor any thing.
6) you do not get replacement, they make you wait indefinitely till the time you walk - off
7) out of my full rental period they did not return the charges for remaining days.
8) i have called them many times, but they do not pick up phone, besides their booking agency economy car rentals also do not respond even though i have sent them several mails. Total scam.
Beware of spanish car rental companies and beware of greece based agency economy car rentals (Herakleon)

After talking to my credit card company i found that these scams are common in many of economically broken countries like spain, greece, and similar countries. This organised scams are really giving bad name to tourism in europe.
