When you sign up for iTalkBB service, they ask you to provide Level 1 security questions, but you will have to answer Level 10 security questions if you cancel your iTalkBB service. Reasons: playing games in not allowing you to cancel. The game will not allow you to speak to the right staff, no response to your emails. No promise in transferring your existing telephone number to using iTalkBB, no promise of cancellation of your existing telephone service despite your existing telephone should be cancelled after the port-out. Be prepared to pay some extra fees that your country or province don't charge you. Don't be silly or naive for the first month free trial - that is merely lure you to sign up. No free TV programs as you will have to pay for the download, i.e. base on your internet service provider allows you how many mgb download consumption, so prepare yourself that you will need to upgrade your internet service. You may not be able to receive calls dispite iTalkBB having confirmed the successful of port-out your existing telephone service/number.
We have problem with receiving phone calls for 2 weeks. I called company several times to try solving the problem. No matter what you ask the answer is always “our technician is working on that. We will fix it as soon as possible.” But we live with that for 2 weeks now with no hope. Please stay away from iTalkBB!!! Do not make trouble for yoursel[censored]

My mother saw iTalkBB's ad and decided to get it because of the low rates, to save money. We only wanted the one month free TRIAL. Just the TRIAL, and we made it very clear.
However one week later, our internet went down. AT&T said that we canceled our WiFi and phone services, though we didn't. iTalkBB, without even consulting or telling us, went to AT&T and canceled our subscription just because of our one month phone trial!
They also canceled AT&T's Internet service with AT&T's phone service. Their product works only w/ Internet, so their own product couldn't work. We had no phone service either now. (Because they're idiots. Seriously.)
We had no internet, and no phone service, for WEEKS. Our entire family went to Starbucks for WiFi everyday and used PAYPHONES to call iTalkBB. Though we were at first polite (though slightly annoyed, but definitely civil), they refused to refund our deposit and got mad at us. We complained about their service, asked for a refund and a talk with the manager, but their rep shouted at us and then hung up.
Finally after almost a month of negotiation, while we had no WiFi or phone service, they finally decided to "let" us cancel. No refund for our deposit, no help with the starting fee from restarting AT&T. But a LOT of rudeness.
We had to restart AT&T, which included a $100 fee and also a new plan, which was $18 higher than our old one per MONTH. They couldn't give our old plan back. But after a conversation with AT&T's friendly rep, she was nice and canceled the $100 fee.
Then we still got monthly charges from iTalkBB, which we asked the bank to dispute.
Complaints in order
1. They cancel your old phone service without notifying you, and WITH your WiFi.
2. Their representatives are rude, abusive, and will hang up on you. One lady thinks that complaints about service are personal insults. They even shout and yell at you through the phone.
3. When calling, representatives are almost never available.
4. They don't like admitting their mistakes. We never even once heard the word "sorry."
5. After ruining your WiFi and phone service for a month, they do not refund money for restarting. Not a single penny returned.
6. They KEPT charging us per month after our cancellation. We disputed the charges and finally they stopped bugging us.
Don't trust them. Once you actually subscribe, they stop being polite and considerate. We wanted to cancel, and their rep kept insisting that we stay for 10 minutes, and then she got angry at us. In summary, a horrible experience.
When I ordered iTalkBB, the woman on the phone assured me that our home phone number wouldn't change, as they always do in their ads and commercials. Well guess what? It changes anyway, and we found out that the reason was because we disconnected our other phone service a tad too early. The woman says that we can't change it back. What really angered us was that when we were ordering, she didn't tell us to keep our provider. We attempted to complain, this time to different woman. She was even worse, she didn't bother to say sorry and argued with us. After we had given her enough reasons, she just hung up. We highly DO NOT recommend this service. They cheated on us and we don't want others to have the same fate.
Italkbb's customer service is extremely poor and make it very difficult for the existing customers to switch to a new phone provider. We are an italkbb customer and have called italkbb customer service over 15 times in 4 weeks to switch our phone number to Vonage(our new phone company). At this point, we are not successful. The response that we got is always be patient and wait for our call. But they never call. When we call them, they either provide the wrong instructions or repeat the "be patient" message. How can a phone number transfer takes four weeks and still did not get resolved?
After the sales woman from italkbb.com called a half of dozen times and told me there was no cost to try the service for 30 days, I finally said yes. However, I decided to cancel the order after I read through the confirmation email. It state that it would take 15 days to switch the phone so I changed my mind. I called back right away and they told me to call back second day. I did. However, the Cancellation Department tried to talk me out it. Since I didn't have the time to insist, I hung up the phone. The second time I called, the woman from Cancellation Department talked straight for 40 minutes, still refused to do what I asked for-cancellation even I asked for no few than 10 times. I told her-this is my last word-CANCEL it! I had to hung up for a long distance call. I never received the cancellation email so I called the third time. They claimed the Department was busy (I wonder why!). The fourth time I called, I told the woman-I don't want to hear anything so just cancel it. Finally she did and sent me the return address for equipment. Days later, I received the equipment box (I wouldn't if they canceled when I asked them to). When I called for the return label. They insisted that customers are responsible for the shipping cost even they never open the box. I started to understand why they refused to cancel my order-they knew people might change their minds if they had to pay shipping to send the box back. It was such a misleading group of people with bad business practice. They threatened me to charge me each month for the box or use other channel. I called my credit card company to close the account. Surprisingly, they were willing to reimburse my cost for shipping since I am a cardholder since 1996. I would never try this company again. In fact, you should stay away from it because is not worthy the headaches!

What they don't tell you:
-- They charge EVERY customer's Credit Card AUTOMATICALLY and DIRECTLY every month WITHOUT any notice!!! AND Pre-charge customer's Credit Card WITHOUT any notice.
---There is NO way to send FAX abroad/NO technical ability or to receive fax at all (not to any country). But they are selling "plans for business" and charge $39.99 plus fees and taxes monthly.
What their customer service do is to intentionally confuse customers and say "what model of fax machine do you use?" Even I bought a new fax machine, it does work, then they admitted that they DON'T have the technical ability for sending fax abroad.
---Very bad voice qualities, and often caller hear "no service"! When I called the customer service, their answer was "we are updating our system", but each time was the same, this kind of answer is obviously a coached excuse for bad services.
-- Italkbb uses law pricing tactics to compete with VoiP phone companies. Italkbb advertises $4.99/month, but PLUS charge more than 50% of fees $2.95, as "Federal Tax" (Federal tax is based on percentage, would not allow to charge more than 50%).
At Italkbb (or italk Global Communications Inc.) customer services almost ALL employees are Chinese, speak Chinese language, most are part timers fresh from China (italkbb's back office), they In-Turn work here in the US for a few months (hope they get paid in US wages for fair competition) or because of constant low wages this company gets advantages in the US tele communications market).

we sign up for italk BB and we have 30 days trial. When we receive the modem, I made contact with them, found out that my other phones in the house can't even use it because it is for phones set uses. On the package they even got the name wrong. Didn't use their line. Contacting them is so hard. They have customer representive who speak Cantonese, Mandarin and english. One night my mother had contact them, she end up having a customer representive who can only speak Mandarin. My mother have basic understanding and speaking in Mandarin. She requested that she wants to speak with someone who speek in Cantonese. Guess what, the Customer representive refuese the request and won't even transfer the call to another department. Took awhile to get another contact number. When I was able to speak with someone in Cantonese, I found out that they have my Mother name and my email adress wrong. I was wondering why I hadn't receive any formal email from them. We decided to cancle, everytime I call, they said the cancellation department is busy and will get back to us ASAP (didn't believe they will but they actually did). Whenever I spoke to one of customer representive, I find it that they had hard time following what I'm trying to tell them and when I wait for their reply they give me all these nonsense knowledge that I already know and had been explaining to them about the problems. Very badly train customer service in my opion because I work as a customer service. They don't even voluntery give us customer enough knowlegde about how their phone service work when we first made contact, the guy just wants to hurry get our info and be done with it. When the Cancellation department call, told them I just want to cancle because we weren't able to use their modem. The customer keep on insisting that it is cheap compare to other phone company (when stuff is cheap, it is to good to be true) and recommend to get phone set (what I'm going to do with the other phones if I got the phone set). I said I just wants to cancle and he kept on insisting, finally told the guy that their customer representive sucks and their product is not to our liking. Find out that I have to paid $9.99 for the 1min use when their tech was telling us how to set up the modem. I thought that we got a free 30 day trial. Decided to go through with the Cancellation process before they mess up our phone line and billing. If anyone decided to sign up with them I recommend that get all the facts from them first, double check with them and make sure that they understand every word that is being said to them. In my opinion, don't bother signing up with their company so much hassel to go through because their customer representive communcation sucks, might even mess up your contract and billing too.
ItalkBB emailed me to inform me my contract is deal for renew: *** Beginning of the email...
1.They charge you however they want since they have your credit card.
2. You don't know your plan changed because they never notify anything.
3. They never refund you on their mistakes, if it's your mistakes, they charge you more.
4. You need to pay $400 after canceling the service 1) a late fee $59.99 for not returning in 15 days after cancellation 2) $300 for not receiving the device even you sent the package to them.
5. They make up thousands of lies for not receiving the device in order to charge you $300.
I was using italkbb for a year but their quality is really bad. I asked them to fix the quality of the sound, it was become better for a few month but later on it back to bad quality again. I have enough for their bad services...I told them I have to stop using their services and then they said i have to call back...and i told them can you cut off my service in the due day ? they said i have to call back in 23th the bill day...I forget to call back, i know i forget this but i havent use italk bb for more than a month because their quality is so bad and i dont want to use it anymore and i want to get back my money because I am really disappointed with their quality and services...it s like always drop the line and not clear voice, they keep trying to fix but never work...it is very very annoying..I have to struck with them for one more month because they charge my credit card automatically and cannot refund even i stayed clearly i dont want to use them for a month ago...i am very frustrated with their services, so please stay away with that company
italkbb is the terrible and ### service telecommunication in the world. first their staff English is crap they can't even spell and type. i called up to cancel my account, each time i called up they give me a excuse can not do it and finally after called 2 weeks for 18 calls they finally did it but they will not refund my money just simply a excuse that my account name they typed in is not the bank account name. What the hell is this ? and after even you don't want the money, they still keep calling you annoying you non stop.
They are all lies about refund money, its a fraud and you will never can cancel your accounts.

I began my long distance phone service with ITALKBB on March 17, 2006. The service agreement was for 12...
