First and foremost it isn't about the money that I paid for the Verification subscription. After being a user of Instagram for so long, I had finally decided to become Verified on Instagram.
On October 3rd 2026 I paid for a subscription. I then noticed a message requiring a 2-step verification process.
I selected the choice for a code to be sent SMS, I made four attempts and I never received a code. Viewing the other choice Authentication App requires a user to (Get a code from an app such as Duo Mobile or Google Authenticator.) I canceled the subscription right away because I did not feel comfortable regarding the requirements of 2 step verification process.
After I canceled the subscription, my Instagram page began to malfunction and I could not move forward to proceed on my Instagram page. I then see a message that reads (couldn't refresh feed.) I did everything on my end to fix the issue by Uninstaller the Instagram app and I Install the app again and my Instagram still malfunctioned.
I could not contact Instagram Help Support because my Instagram page is malfunctioning like crazy. I went far as to chatting with Meta AI and the issue was not resolved. Me being a Songwriter I need access to my Instagram page. It's really frustrating. It makes me to feel that the Verification process is a scam. I suppose that whenever a Instagram User cancel there Instagram Verification Subscription their page will malfunction just as my Instagram page is now doing. I made an attempt to email Meta Instagram and I received a reply email that my message was sent to an email that is not direct support. I could not contact Instagram Support and my Instagram page is Malfunctioning like crazy!
Desired outcome: I need my Instagram page fixed. I would greatly appreciate a response. Thank you.

The game that Instagram is playing now. They sent me an email claiming they wanted for me to come on chat. No one from Instagram has contacted me directly to resolve the ongoing issue with my Instagram page malfunctioning. I havw gone so far as to posting and uploading images on Facebook regarding the matter, in hopes that Meta owners will try and resolve the issue. As I posted on Facebook, I do not have intentions of creating a new Instagram account and lose my followers as well as my posts content. All of these issues just because of verification.
Today make 7 days and my Instagram page is still malfunctioning. The verification scamming process became a nightmare. I made an attempt by clicking on receive an SMS code and then I see a message that still shows (couldn't refresh feed). I really messed up for wanting to be Verified on Instagram. I don't want to create a new Instagram account and not have my same followers. I can't contact Instagram Help Support because my Instagram page is malfunctioning will not allow me to do nothing. I guess Instagram is not for me, and that's just how I feel. I'm a Professional Songwriter and I feel I will not get exposure without being on Instagram, since Instagram is a largest Social media Platform. No one from Instagram support has reached out to me to resolve the issue. I installer Instagram app on four of my different devices and it's doing the same thing, my Instagram page account is still malfunctioning as if a bug is causing my Instagram page account to malfunction. All I need is for my Instagram page account to be fixed. Thank you.
I think there was a bad Bug or perhaps a glitch in the system with authentication codes signing in. I can finally sign in to my Instagram account.
