I have been using idea service for last three years and felt no major problem regarding its service.Earlier i faced same problem but resolved.But just now It makes me sleepless night by getting same problem.Idea cellular activated value added service automatically on my cell no [protected] without my consent and deducted Rs 30 on dated 11 march 2010.When i contacted customer care they simply say i can't refund your money since this order is made by you but i had made neither call nor got call from them then how this has been activated on my mobile. I just want my money back Rs 30 which has been deducted.

I have Idea postpaid connection form 2007. I register my card at Pune. Know I am in Thane form last 1 month. My complaint is: From 27/02/2010 I not am getting the Network on my cell phone. Instead of this I put the MTNL card on same handset, its working fine. I went to the dealer at Mulund Station area name-Kush Telecom to pay my bill 1200/- and asking him of my complaint logon. He refuse to take my complaint because of my card belongs to Pune. He suggests me to go Pune for this regards. I have login my complaint on Idea cellular ltd. web side 5 times all time they closed my complaint without any solution.

I am writing this complaint against idea cellular.On 26 th january masti fundoo pack was activated on my phone.i did not activate it.I messaged idea customer to get it deactivated, but no action was taken.one week later again money from my account was deducted on lieu of masti fundoo pack.This time i called up customer service and they told me that the service will be deactivated within 11 hours and also gave me a complaint number.i waited for 11 hours, all in vain, and then next day i again called up and they again gave me a new complaint number.i have been repeating this procedure for the last 10-15 days now.i have approximately 7-8 complaint numbers but no action has been taken as of now.i also personally visited idea customer care at adchini(new delhi) there also i was issued a complaint number.
now every week my balance is cut but no action is taken by the employees.when ever i talk to them they say that sorry mam our system is slow..i would like to know.excuse me...is this my fault.
please help me out..changing the number wont be very easy for me..please take some action.I am totally pissed off..

I came to mumbai and thought of availing IDEA mobile services. I just heard that they have good customer care services. I bought a prepaid card on 4th or 5th of jan 2010 and soon realized that my thinking was wrong. Within one and half month of stay in mumbai tells me that IDEA cannt be a good customer care service provider and the reasons and experience i wanted you to look at for improvement
This is my 2nd worst experience with IDEA service and customer care services. Services to my mobile no. [protected] is been hold for 2nd time. I was told by customer care every time that after submitting the documents to nearest idea showroom/gallary your services will be active within in 4 hrs and it took 2 days for activate my services even with the lot of follows with customer care people.
This time since 16.02.10 afternoon my mobile services is kept on hold and reason is that documents verification not done. I didnot understand, when i resubmitted the documents on 08.01.2010, why the question of verification arises after ~1 and half month. Anyway then i realize that is what IDEA is!!!
I resubmitted all the necessary photocopy of the documents namely, driving licence, passport, college ID card, PAN card on 17.02.2010 at 4pm at Samvene Telecommunication in andheri. Customer care told me that services will be reactivated within next 4 hrs, but it didnt happened. Then I called to customer care and the new story arises that this card is registered with some other name. When i confirmed earlier it was in my name now what happened suddenly that change my name. And after that I talk several times to customer care executives like Vanita, Sandip, Chetan, Nilam and so many. Every time i got the different answers that your services will be active in next 2 hrs or 4 hrs. Each time they took a request and says the request no. will be message to my mobile, i also convey them that i am not receiveing the message but nobody cares for it. Then i started writing the no. couple of request nos are [protected] (dated 18.02 at 1.30pm by vanita where i was informed that in next 2 hrs services will be active);then at 5pm i was told by chetan that in next 2 hrs you will receive a call and your services will be activated (I realized the poor nework of IDEA after coming to mumbai. I dont get a nework in IIT BOmbay hostels so i thought of being in the network and walk out to the place where i can attend the call. i waited for ~3 hrs but no call came.); then at ~8.30pm i again called to CC and one more request has been taken up by sandip [protected] saying that this time whether you receive a call or not your services will be activated in next 2 hrs.
Now i dont know what is mean by 2 hrs to the IDEA customer care centres, I will be happy if you could tell me that??
The next day 19.02.2010 again i talked to CCE (customer care executive) yogita and su
pervisor nilam and i got the another commitment that your no. will be reactivated in next 24 hrs.
In the today’s hightech world what is this going on. Why the reactivation should take this much time, then i realized if i am getting different answer all the time there is no customer care only customer harassment is going on.
1. There is no synchonization among the customer care and the people sitting in idea showroom/gallary.
2. Defination of services activation time vary from executive to executive some says 8hrs and some says 24hrs and then there is condition apply to it like working hrs non holiday hrs etc etc.
3. I think customer care centre of IDEA is not for the care it is for harassing the customer who avails their services.
4.When i reach to idea showroom/gallary i found that there are many people with the same complaints, the problem is that IDEA will make you live with service problem.
5.I am investor in IDEA company also now i understand the reason why its share is not increasing.
I must say IDEA has change my view about IDEA.
Hence i decided not to the part of customer of such pthatic service provider who harrase the customers and troubles.

I dont know how IDEA will reimburse for the my time taken, troubles given, harassment done and mentle stress given to me. And even for the expenses of travelling to the idea gallary. Though i am not expecting it from a service provider like IDEA, i will be happy if i will be informed about this.

Am writing this mail in full mental agony.I have got a call customer care no [protected], that my number has been short listed for an amazing offer that on a monthly rental of 299 rupees i will get free net access for night and 50 paise for localcall . I told them that i already have a good plan of vodafone but they motivated me. After that they came up to my place and told me to give my I cardi gave them my voter id as proof and 500 rs chq, chq no 475534 of hdfc of 8 dec which too got cleared. The executive told me that only I card will do and thus they took my money and gave me a receipt by the service provider name " ITBL TELECOM PVT LTD B 70 NARAINA PHASE 2 ".

The CUSTOMER CARE told me that the post paid connection will be activated today only because the scheme is valid for today only. AND THEN THE MENTAL HARASSMENT OF THESE PEOPLE STARTED.One EXECUTIVE called me that the number will be activated within few hours and the next movement they would again call me that it would be activated tomoroo, then abrar, another executive would call me and say that he will help me but he doesn't and when i call him for the same, he would disconnect my call, Another executive and tell me that my number cannot be activated because my verification is negative but i told them it is not possible as no one has visited my address they requested me to wait for two days and reverification will be done but today yet no one has visited my address nor any one recieving my call in ITBL.even when i told them that i would complain against them, they told me it hardly makes any difference to them because they will leave the job, if i do so!!!is this your customer care or customer torture??? and another (seema) would call and say I would be charged 1.30 rupees/minute.I hope you can imagine the amount of trauma one goes through by all this!i wept and cried and requested the executives to help me out but they told they can only help by refunding and that too, they wont come, I have to go to their office to get the money?? Where is the justice??? Why would I get the money back after 10 days, what about the time, efforts and emotions that I went through???who will compensate for it?i dint go to my work for three days because of the mental torture and because I cud not call my parents due to your fault?who will compensate for that?
Sir, in deep mental torture, i called them, but they cut my calls, .I had only 500 in my pocket which i gave to them, i requested them many times to activate my number so that i could call up my parents in punjab since they cannot call me due to curfew in the area since many days). They didn't accept my request and did nothing to help me out, even after i sent the message to all of the executives of the company requesting them personally. With the result i haven't talked to my family since three days, which has added to my mental trauma!IS THIS THE IDEA, WHICH CHANGES LIVES???
Purchased a new idea connection with number: [protected] but it has not been activated since last 5 days after the purchase of the connection. Purchased connection from IDEA Authorized dealer ITBL Telecom Pvt. Ltd.
They took 500rs cash payment even after my insisting on payment by cheque. Now their executive is not picking the call. Luckily I was able to connect to helpline where they are not able to provide any information on this.
Please beware of dealing with ITBL Telecom, New Delhi. They are fraudsters.
I am a pre-paid mobile customer in India, my carrier is IDEA mobile. Like ABachchan says, "What an idea !!".
Now, this is my complaint:
Whenever I recharge, I get a message from 3893 saying that my recharge was successful and I have (zzz) Rs. in
balance. This is an SMS & is always stored in the handset. If I want to delete it, I can, but normally no prepaid customer will do that. In my case, I want to know how much I am paying in a month. I know people
who have simlar raw accounting. So, the message in in the IN-BOX of the handset.
If I ever touch this message, by replying it by mistake or not, IDEA is charging me 5.00 Rs. for that. If you
are a pre-paid customer try this, - just pick the message from idea's 3893 and hit reply. In no time you
will realize that you are 5.00 Rs. short of your previous balance.
And, for the Heavens sake IDEA tell you frankly by a message, "You are not authorized to use this system", once you did the aforesaid.
What is this ? Is Mr.Birla is so much thirsty of money ? Or is it justthe head of IDEA mobile ? (I dont know who he is)
There were only Tatas, Birlas, Sarabhais and the Mahindars in the 80s. We Indians still treat these business houses with respect because they can boast a tradition. They were the 1-4 in India until it was the 90s.
I believe that no Birla (or any of the aforesaid businesses) wants to extort money from a customer. But the
mobile phone division, which in IDEA, They are doing exactly that.
How come if a subscriber just happen to reply 3893, he is charged 5.00 Rs? No one intentionally do it, yet
there are chances that, some day, someone will reply to one of those 3893 SMS accidentally. It just occurred to me an hour back.
I want this 5.00 Rs charging to be eliminated, just if someone like me accidentally press "reply" to message,
and realize that they were charged 5.00 Rs. for that SMS.

During M/o May/June a call was received from idea call centre regarding description of value voucher plan.During conversation the lady from idea on other end use to ask me Mr.kulwant are you listening to me?, this thing happend 4 to 5 times during the call and I use to say yes.After some time the lady on the other end congratulated me for opting the value voucher plan and disconnected the telephone.I quickly understood that I have been cheated by asking the question Mr.kulwant are you listening to me ?4 to 5 times continuosly.My answer "yes" has been recorded by your recording system as a proof of my agree for the plan.Yesterday my friend suggested me to make a complaint on website.I have already complained 4 times to customer care and in respond the lady from idea told me that they have a record of my sound of my agree and I can go to consumer court for further clarifications.I have received the mobile from my company and I have to use it only for incoming.I don't need any rubbish value voucher plan as you can check my record of topups since the mobile has been issued to me.I have used Rs.200 only in 2 years.
I was using Idea netsetter since Jan 2009 and because of idiotic (crawling) browsing speed I intimated them and stopped using that service. Now I got bill amount of 1589 (My actual bill is 1100 only) and also legal notice regarding that.
How can I get myself come out of that.
NOTE : My bill was used to sent to my actual adress with door number and legal notice was sent with out specifying door number. Do I need to respond for that ?

I am Vikrm Vardhan and am living in pune these days, here i am use
the idea prepaid no : [protected].
On 18-07-09 at 6 :45 pm, tried to recharge my number by the STD
OFFER PACK by idea services according to which, i was suppose to
receive 58 STD minutes on the recharge of 48 Rs. voucher.
Due to mistake the recharge was done for Rs..49 instead of 48.
It went successful as i received the message form idea
sever(3981), but neither had i received any std minutes nor any talk
time for that amount of recharge.
When i complaint it to my retailer(GURUDUTT MEDICALS, kalewadi phata
Pune), he replied to forget that money as according to him this
issue can never be resolved and moreover he himself has many issues
with him in past.
I contacted the customer care for the issue same day only, then
they issued me SERVICE REQUEST NO.1#[protected].assuring me that the
transaction will be reversed with in 72 hrs, but it was a fake
promise as in couple of days i got a automated call that the issue
is resolved, which in reality was not till date.
Then i again contacted customer care, this time they clearly said
that they cannot help me on this matter and it can be resolved by
the retailer only.
I again contacted my retailer he made me talk to the retailer
helpline of Idea Services according to whom the retailer need to
complaint the issue to their dealer(PERFECT COMMUNICATION, near
Sai chowk, pimpri Pune) and get the refund for the same but the
retailer said that this refund is practically possible as this
issue had been in their notice many times even for bigger amounts
in past but no refund was made for the same.

Can i know my fault in this while case except that i made the
recharge of wrong denomination, moreover is it a crime that my
amount is not refunded by this whole system.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE for my money wastage above that wastage to my

responsibility of the service provider to be transparent at these

I am Vijender Aggarwal. I am an IDEA Cellular Customer. I m having Local Free SMS @ 56 rs pack activated with auto renewal facility. Old pack was expired on 01-Mar-08 late night. I sent sms on 02-Mar-08 and the same were charged from my main balance as the auto renewal of sms pack was done by idea at 10.30 am only. I talked with customer care 3 times. In first two cases, my calls were disconnected & in third case, i was replied, "U are charged correctly. Delay in auto renewal of pack is not an error of IDEA and customer must check whether auto-renewal is done or not. Complaint will not be registered & no waiver will be given. Further Auto-renewal of pack can be done by IDEA any time during the first day of next month".

i got a call on my no. from the idea customer care in regard to convert my prepaid no.([protected]) to postpaid on 3-1-09 and on the same day an executive had arrived to my office and collect rs.500 with two photos, xerox of my prepaid sim from me on the same day and give me a reciept.of Shaiv Bpo Services but after two days i received a another call from them that i have to submit my id proof and they were asked me to mail my id proof to them so i also mail them my id proof on the same day and i also confirm from them that they got my id proof or not.They acknwoledge me that they got the id proof and my no. will we activate by the evening and they also disconnect my prepaid no.
But until now they had not activate my no., i call them many times but they not showing any responsibility in doing there job. now, i want my money back and the no. remain to be prepaid. i think this bpo is provide the worse service to there customer. i don, t expect the service of such type from idea cellular.

I told them that i already have a good plan(New youth card), but they motivated me to change the prepaid (fine enuff). After that they came up to my place and told me to give my I card as a proof and then they asked about my PAN card. i told them i don't have and if itz necessary, then i don't want to take the new post paid connection. On this, the executive told me that only I card will do and thus they took my money and gave me a receipt by the service provider name "SHAIV BPO SERVICES 18/17, BASEMENT, W.E.A., DHAKA HOUSE, KAROL BAGH NEW DELHI ph.[protected].

Meanwhile I got many calls from a person who would say that seema (the customer care executive) has called him and told him that she will get the number, which I have been using since a year and the sim will be activated within a day. That person would call me and tell me how could I use his number?he gave me the sim number of the sim as well!. Seema had called him from the number, [protected].

Its bring to your notice that, I am Idea cellular post paid connection user with mobile number [protected]. The same number has been put out of service from Idea side since last 2 days. While speaking with Idea customer care executives Mr. TUSHAR and MR. VINOD SINGH, on Monday late night round 10.00pm; excuses for my connection out of service was given that my billing address (mentioned below in my signature) is incomplete.
Could anyone from Idea side would let me know what’s the definition of COMPLETE ADDRESS in India. In my address I have specified the name of my CMM-5 level organization, along with city town, with regional area, then with tower position, again with floor number, then State of India and moreover with PIN code.
Here my concern is what’s the definition of COMPLETE ADDRESS for IDEA CELLULAR.
And who is going to pay for my business loss because of my cell out of service stating silly excuse INCOMPLETE ADDRESS?
Who is going to pay for my mental harassment?
The reader of this mail would be surprise to know that on the same billing Address I am getting my Idea connection bills for the same number [protected] which has been proved INCOMPLETE by Idea cellular.
Is there any responsible person in Idea cellular who can look through the matter or at least would let me know the COMPLETE ADDRESS definition?

1. Idea cellular is deducting money from my account without my concern and also i am being charge for ni pack which i am not suppose to after i make calls after 2300hrs as per their scheme what i feel is they are extracting money from consumer by delaying their watches and saying that the calls i made were not after 2300hrs.
2. They are activating and deactivating the packages of their own without my concern which is wrong. And something is to be done about it
