I took my car to Hughes Automotive on 3/9 cuz the engine light was on
I took my car to Hughes Automotive on 3/9 cuz the engine light was on. They charged me $110.00 to scan the engine and then said a broken hose was the problem and it would be $220.00 to fix. I said okay. But then the engine light came back on less than 24 hours later. They said I should leave the car there for more repairs. When my wife went to pick up the car, they said the catalytic converter was the problem and it would be $1,000.00 to fix. I asked to see the invoice but they said no. Not happy.

Hughes Automotive fixed my car on March 4. I bought parts for repairs and maintenance for four years and saved money for the work. I'm on a low fixed income, so it was tough. Hughes agreed to keep expenses under $3000 and get my approval for anything over. They told me about the work and parts, but never said it was over $3000. I got the car back a month later with a $4842 bill. I paid with a personal check, but the car still had issues. I gave them a list of problems three times, and they took the car back twice to fix it. But it's still not safe to drive. Tom P *** made excuses and delayed fixing it. I haven't followed up since June 19th. I found two other people with similar experiences. I chose Hughes because of their experience, but they didn't do a good job.
