Subject: Formal Complaint Against Honda Sai Point for Failure to Deliver the Booked Bike and Delay in Refund of ₹20,000
Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to raise a formal complaint regarding my booking of a Honda SP 125 at Honda Sai Point on 8 October 2026.
Before making the booking, I specifically asked the sales executive whether the bike was available. There was an SP 125 PS in Blue colour at the showroom, and the sales executive assured me that the bike was available and would be delivered to me. Based on this assurance, I paid ₹20,000 in cash as the booking amount. I clearly informed the sales executive that I required the bike on 11 October 2026, and he confirmed that I would receive the delivery on that date.
However, when I visited the showroom on 11 October 2026 to take delivery, I was informed that the bike was not available. Surprisingly, the same bike that I had been shown at the showroom was still there, but the sales executive claimed that it had already been allotted to another customer.
My question is simple: if the bike had already been allotted to another customer, why was I assured that it was available and that I would receive it?
I subsequently tried contacting the showroom manager, Harshal, but he did not answer my calls despite my calling him nine times.
I then contacted the main branch of Sai Point Honda in Thane and spoke with the manager, Sharad. He stated that he was unaware of the situation and that the bike was unavailable, suggesting that a mistake might have occurred. Instead of taking responsibility for the sales executive’s incorrect assurance, I felt that the responsibility was being indirectly shifted onto me.
I even offered to accept a bike in a different colour if that would help resolve the issue. However, the showroom refused to provide an alternative bike as well.
As the showroom failed to fulfil its commitment, I requested a refund of my ₹20,000 booking amount, which I had paid in cash. I was informed that the refund would be issued through a cheque and that I would have to wait ten days to collect it.
I do not understand why I should have to wait ten days for my refund when the showroom itself failed to provide the promised vehicle. I should not have to suffer because of the showroom’s mistake.
To make matters worse, Harshal, the manager of the showroom where I booked the bike, later called me and stated that he would neither provide me with the bike nor refund my money.
I was told that my refund would be processed on 12 October 2026, but no refund was made. When I called again today, 13 October 2026, I was told that the bank server was down.
This entire experience has been extremely disappointing and unacceptable. The lack of coordination, failure to honour commitments, poor customer service, and delay in returning my money raise serious concerns about the management and customer-handling practices at Honda Sai Point.
I request the following immediate action:
1. A full refund of my ₹20,000 booking amount without any further delay.
2. A clear explanation of why I was promised a bike that was allegedly already allotted to another customer.
3. An investigation into the conduct of the concerned sales executive and managers.
4. A written confirmation of when and how my refund will be provided.
I expect this matter to be resolved today, 13 October 2026. If my refund is not processed and I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will be compelled to file a formal police complaint and escalate the matter to Honda’s customer care department and the appropriate consumer grievance authorities.
I hope Honda will take this complaint seriously and resolve the issue promptly.
Regards,
Customer of Honda Sai Point
