The reverse motor on my wife's 2019 FLHTCUTG Tri-Glide just stopped working. Tried resetting the breaker, nothing. Took it into the dealership where every try this and that that Harley sent out to all the dealerships didn't work. I was told the reverse motor was shot, not rebuild kit available for the motor and it would have to be replaced. Cost for the motor alone was 1,696.30. Wow, talking with others in different forms this is not a new problem Harley has known about it for years yet has not sent out a recall to fix the problem. Yes, this is a problem for seniors like us. My wife got stuck when the reverse motor failed and had to wait for someone to assist her in pushing the trike back words so she could leave. I will give Harley reps an opportunity to fix this with me prior to filing a claim with the NTSB and better business bureau. Since Harley has been aware of the problem and has done nothing the possibility of a class action suit is even more prevalent due to the nature of the problem and the amount of people it has affected. I will add this trike is a 2019 with 24908 miles on it and has maybe been in reverse 30 times. this is totally unacceptable for a company that is struggling to stay afloat.

Claimed loss: $1,696.30 I'll eat the labor of $375.00 and the tax of $102.00. I would like to be reimbursed $1,696.30. I will provide the receipt when requested. Or contact Tecumseh Harley-Davison @ [protected] reference W.O # 37550

Desired outcome: Refund the amount for the reverse motor.
