I want to complain about Halfords at the Grey Hound Park, Chester. The staff have been very unhelpful and have dismissed me in the past and I have discovered they fitted my dash cam wrong. I paid for a dash cam on 11/5/2025 and it was fitted 31/05/2025. Before Xmas, I received a recall letter from MG and so I booked it in at the nearest place which was Holdcroft at Cheshire Oaks. This was booked for 17/2/26. I do not have many days off work as I work long hours for NHS. I mentioned to them about the battery, they said they would do a diagnostic and it stated “Customer reports of 12V battery states low charge, technician confirms fault and found customer’s dash camera has been wired wrong. It has a permanent feed causing battery drain. Needs wiring in the correct place.” I am very annoyed about this as a couple of months after it was fitted, I think in July, I went back into Halfords at Greyhound Park to advise that I thought there was something wrong with it and I was fobbed off by the so called manager who made some accuse of not being able to look at it because of data protection. His attitude put me off going back into the store so I would like it removed a full refund. It seems that their clearly do not know what they are doing as well as being very unhelpful. I would prefer to have it removed at different location near to me and a full refund.
