On the 12/12/2025 I booked and paid for two tyres `Avon All season (205/55/R16 )` my appointment was at Congleton on 13/12/25 at 13.30 After payment was confirmed I received a message telling me that because of a technical issue with Halford system there was a problem and asked me to phone a 330 number .I checked this number on Google , not all results were positive. I then received an email from Tiffany asking me to call the same 330 number . This email went straight into my spam mail box . This only increased my concern .I decided to wait .
At 0900 on 13/12/25 I phoned Halfords in Congleton to confirm my appointment , and was told that No appointment had been made . I was given the same 330 number to call. I called this number , the gentleman who answered was efficient but I was asked to hold whilst he sorted out the technical issue , I was also asked to hold for a longer period whilst he contacted Congleton to confirm the tyres and time were available . I believed the problem was then sorted . However at 11.00 am I received a call telling me that the tyres I had ordered were not now available and wouldn't be available until the following Monday . I suggested that I kept the appointment and they could fit a different pair of tyres . I was told that they didn't have any tyres in the size I needed ? This is crazy because because 205/55/R16 is one of the most popular tyres on the market. I am unable to attend on week days, so I am now stuck with an appointment on the following Saturday which is the Saturday before Christmas , which will cause me lots of pain.

My call telling me the tyres were not available came from a lady at Halfords Congleton .
