GFL Environmental review: I would like my $74 back

GFL Environmental is the company I was using to pick up my trash for several years. In the beginning they were owned by another company and I had no trouble. GFL bought them out and things seemed to go downhill from there. Sometimes my container wasn't emptied. I would call to see if they could come back by another day but they would only tell me that they would credit my account for a week and would pick it up next week. This June I decided to go with another company. I called GFL to cancel with them and asked for a refund for the payment they had just recently taken out of my checking account. It's now the middle of August and I still don't have my refund. I've called the local office and the office in North Carolina. The North Carolina office told me that the home office is in Canada and it would be anywhere from 10 to 12 weeks before I would get my refund. My payment to them was always deducted from my checking account yet now they tell me they will mail me a paper check and it will come from Canada. They owe me $74. and some change. I don't understand why it can't go back to my checking account and why it takes 10 to 12 weeks to mail my refund. The same thing is happening to my sister. They owe her $156 and she hasn't gotten her refund either. We both cancelled around the same time. She signed up with them for a trash service but they never brought her a container at all. They're a terrible company.

Desired outcome: I've been told by a girl in the local office that my refund was mailed July 6. Another girl in the North Carolina office says she doesn't know when it was mailed but it was processed June 29th. I need my $74.
