EDCO is just terrible
EDCO is just terrible. Their drivers keep knockin' down my mailbox, dumpin' trash and recyclables in my driveway and yard, and they don't even bother pickin' up the trash and recyclables for over 6 years. Today, for the 11th time, EDCO didn't empty the bin. I called the office three times, and they promised they'd pick up, but the driver never showed up. The office doesn't even respond. On top of that, the driver has said some mean things about where I come from before. Now, I think they're not pickin' up my trash ten times and my recyclables twice because they're racist or prejudiced against me. It's like their company policy to discriminate against me. I've taken lots of pictures of my trash sittin' in the bin before, and the driver straight up lied to the office, even though there are cameras and pictures that prove he's lying. Overall, EDCO is a crappy business with racist drunks drivin' around. They smell like alcohol, knock down mailboxes, and lie about pickin' up. I've never seen such incompetence, carelessness, and unprofessional behavior from any business in my life.

I called EDCO to set up an account
I called EDCO to set up an account. I gave them my name, email, phone number and cuz I wanted to set up auto-pay I gave them my credit card info. 3 months go by and I get a letter from a collection agency. I called EDCO to find out what was going on since I had auto pay. They said my card was expired. I gave them the numbers to my card again and the expiration date, they said someone put the wrong date and they thought the card expired. I asked why they didn't call, mail or email me if there was a problem with billing. They said the number they called was disconnected, emails went unanswered and the same with mail. At that point I started spelling out my name, email address (Which is my name) and phone number. Not only had the person who originally took my info put the wrong date for *** card, they swapped 2 digits in my phone number, spelled my name wrong and put the wrong email address. When I pointed out that someone at their company put all my info in wrong, they said it was still my fault for not opening the letters they sent. I had to explain that opening mail that is not addressed to you is a federal offense. I also explained that people with security clearances and credit reports who open mail with a misspelled name officially create an alias, which then has to be explained and cleared on both your credit history and from your security clearance. In short, this is a company that don't listen when you give info. Then they blame you for not realizing that the butchered name they addressed a letter to was supposed to be to you. There is zero responsibility or accountability.
I just canceled my service and went to Waste Management
I just canceled my service and went to Waste Management. I am very frustrated and highly dissatisfied with their customer service and way of doing business. I requested a half-dumpster for some work being done at my home. I was gonna need it for a minimum of 2 weekends. The fee covers 10 days, with a $1 charge for each additional day. I was okay with that. I was expressed that I wanted to have it until a certain date, but maybe longer. I asked if I should pay the additional fee upfront. I was told "no". I was advised that I should call back when I was ready for it to be picked up and we could settle the additional cost at that time. Ok, sounded good. I had the bin for 16 days, with the intent to keep it through the upcoming weekend so that we could finish up what we were doing at the house. Well, without me being notified, they came and picked the bin up. When I called to "clear things up", their bottom line was that I would have to pay the full amount all over again. I asked why. The explanation was that they had notes to pick up the bin by 05/12, per my request. I advised that was incorrect. Their customer service rep threw 05/12 out as a possible date. I declined it, and that is how we settled on me calling when I was ready to have it picked up. So, the error was theirs. Yet, they wanted me to pay the full fee again in order to bring the bin back. They wouldn't even meet me halfway, stating they had to cover fuel costs, I would be getting an empty bin, etc. So?! If they hadn't made the mistake to begin with, it wouldn't be an issue. Why should I have to fork over more money for their screw up? I paid for a service that I will now have to pay for again. That being the case, I would much rather give that money to their competitor. Aside from their unacceptable response, their fees are much higher than Waste Management. I'll be passing that information along to my neighbors. They may have screwed me on this, but I won't be silent about it. Oh, and they have the contract with El Cajon? Yeah, I'll be making some noise about that as well. Essentially, wherever I can be the squeaky wheel, I'm gonna be squeaking. They left me no reasonable option. So, here we go.
