Borden Waste-Away Service

A trash collection service that don't collect trash. They're sure to take the money every 3 months on the exact same day every quarter. The customer service just tells you what you want to hear and then do whatever they feel like. I have a garage full trash because Borden refuses to pick up my trash.

I've been a customer of Borden Waste-Away Service, Inc. for a long time. I really like their trash services because they go down my private drive, unlike other trash companies. My family of 8 sometimes has an extra bag or two outside the can, and the garbage man is awesome because he takes it away whenever there's a small overage. Borden waste services is definitely the best!

Exception service and great price. Also, curbside recycling pickup is the best. We have lived in 9 states and 11 cities. Borden's has been the best!

Service is always consistent. Billing department is courteous and always willing to help without a long drawn out automated system to navigate. You can talk to a real local service rep.

Our driver, Jerry is the best! When I forgot to put my bins out one day, he honked the horn and waited for me to bring them out. Customer service has always been great, too. Whenever I call they are very helpful and courteous.

We've had a hiccup or two, but they quoted us about 25% of what we were paying with another company who's prices went up every quarter. They were very specific about their pricing and it was completely accurate. This is the 3rd service I've used at this location and after about 9 months, I am more satisfied than I was with either of the other two companies.

Today, this company, who bought out a local trash removal last year, is not doing a good job. They left my trash can half full, they never check to see if the whole can was emptied. Also, as they drove into my town, ***., which is a 30 mph speed limit, their truck was doing at least 60 mph, right by a park that is for little kids and families. I don't know how you can rate them A+. I had to burn the remainder of my garbage with Kerosene because it was full of maggots. Real fun for a senior citizen to have to do.

One of their drivers drove on our sidewalk last fall and I contacted them. They said they would fix it this spring. I called this spring and was told that once the COVID-19 restrictions were lifted, it would be fixed. I contacted them a week ago but haven't heard back. I really want my sidewalk fixed.

On December 20th, Borden Waste-Away was supposed to pick up my mattress. I told the representative that I was moving and needed it to be picked up. I also canceled all my services for the residence that day because I sold my home. I agreed to pay $50.00 for the mattress pickup on that day. However, on December 22nd, when I went to my house, I discovered that the mattress had not been picked up as we agreed. The closing and final walkthrough of my house took place on December 23rd, and I even took pictures of the mattress still at my residence. So, I moved the mattress to my neighbor's house, and he agreed to dispose of it for me. I have text messages from December 22nd, confirming this conversation.

In January , I received a bill for over $80.00, which included the regular trash service. I agreed to pay that part and did so over the phone. However, I informed the representative that I was not willing to pay the $50.00 for the mattress pickup since it was not completed as agreed. The representative told me I would "have to call back in the morning and speak with a manager" and I left my number with them. I contacted Borden Waste-Away again and explained the situation once more. They claimed that the mattress was picked up on December 20th, but I explained that this was not true and that I had pictures to prove it. Only the trashcan provided by Borden was picked up on that day. They transferred me to a manager, and I left a voicemail, but I never received a call back as requested. I didn't hear anything further until the week of March 4th, when I received a collection notice from "Transmittal" stating that Borden had sent my account for collections. I never received any contact from Borden Waste-Away group. Now, they claim I owe them $59.90 without any explanation.
