I do not understand these folks who bought a travel plan but then don't want to meet the criteria to use it, I bought timeshare at jockey club four years ago, I have used it four times a year since then, stayed in hardrock casinos on the beach and sandals resorts in Jamaica, these have been fully equipped condos and villas, oh yeah I would rather go back to the hotel room where I am falling over my friends and their belongings tucked in a corner of the room oh and food want to throw it away because there is no where to preserve it in the room, I don't know people, if you use it the way it was explained you would have a great vacation so lighten up you can pay more money in your lifetime or less and get more I guess its designed for the smarter part of society not the ones that don't get the real value of vacations...hmmmmmm

Watch your points. They don't tell you they expire, they let you think that you can bank them in RCI. RCI only holds them for 3 months. GEO LIES! I want out of my contract!

We just returned from a trip to Vegas on my birthday. 10/27/15. We are owners of a different timeshare and are happy with what we currently have. We decided to sit thru the 2 hour presentation to hear what GEO Holiday had to offer. The so-called gifts are not worth your time! The $400 slot ; cash is at 1 casino; Casino Royale and is at a bank of practice machines; no actual cash value. The show tickets are not for premium; name entertainers and the dinner vouchers have to be applied for after calling and registering them at a 800 number. When they approach you on the street, the mislead you right away saying its cash to gamble at any casino and the show and restaurant of your choice. That is not true! Only certain restaurants are registered. Don't think they are going to hand you cash or gift cards for the restaurants of your choice. The restaurants that are listed will tell you they will accept the vouchers but they are for a discounted meal if you spend a specified amount.

The presentation is over 3 hours! They tried to tell us they could get us into our current location we own for less. I knew right away that was a lie because I asked him to show me the listing of our property in their inventory and he could not locate it. After we told the sales guy no with his 22k pitch, he bought in a Manager who offered us a discounted timeshare for 10K. We told him no and then were taken to another room where a lady offered/gave us another sales pitch for $5k ownership...after interrupting her and telling her no...she abruptly got up and sent another guy over...this guy was really disheveled and was barely coherent. He offered us 2 nights at the Jockey Club for $199. They are pathetic! The poor sales guy is trying to put a cherry on a steaming pile of crap! The Jockey Club is a back alley place that does not stack up to any strip hotels. They walked us thru the property but did not even show us inside a room. They kept pushing our ability to use the points for vacation stays at other locations vs trying to sell their crappy property. They kept touting that the Cosmopolitan was trying to buy them out...I asked specifically if the property was sold, would timeshare owners share in the profit. He would not answer. The Manager kept jokingly telling the new sales associate...'you're fired". He said it about a half a dozen times and the sales associate was clearly embarrased and red in the face. After the 22K sales pitch became $199...I could not wait to get back to my hotel room and shower. This whole thing is slimy at best! Do not fall for it...not worth your time!

Very dissatisfied with company that I now think front name is Geo Holidays but who knows really who they are. A few years ago they did a sweep across country offering upgrades to memberships. When one didn't take their snake oil sales pitch they were penalized. What was opened for booking all of a sudden those resorts were no longer available. They have rarely ever had anything available even with searches in for 18 months. One has to really wonder who they are. They have by far the worse customer service people that I've ever spoke to> Once in a while you might get someone that is close to being helpful but for the most part they could care less about helping you... I have no idea what they are paying these people but their attitude tells me its very little... - It use to be that you could bank your Geo weeks with RCI and RCI would handle your booking now one has to deal with Geo on everything... this made my decision not to deal with them again easy ->> at least booking with RCI and getting a person that was helpful eased the pain of having a timeshare with Geo... stay away from this company -

I am not happy at all after years of paying every time i try to book a room at the Jockeys club their is never a room ever! I was made to believe that i was a owner and later I'm told that I don't actually own at the Jockeys Club! I have paid so much money for months and yearly fees I just need to know how I can get rid of it. I lost my job and I can't even afford anymore, they take out the payment form my account every month but i can't f****en get a room. Sure they offer rooms at other GEO places but I would have to pay to stay. Grrrrrr

I attended a Geo Holiday presentation at the Jockey Club in Las Vegas. I signed on for the time share. I received a voucher for free airline tickets I tried to redeem them and they where expired. Some one had crossed out the original expiration date and added another date! That should have been a red flag. I've been paying for 3 years and not once have I been able to reserve a stay where I want. It's either to soon or they have nothing available. Then one day out of the blue I receive a phone call from Geo Holiday asking did I still want my reservation in Florida for a certain date. I told them WTF would I be making a reservation in Florida when I can't even get one 300 miles away! All that pitch they gave us sounded good but try and get a reservation when you want to use it. Good luck but don't count on it.

It's always interesting to imagine yourself in a peaceful luxurious vacation enjoying all of the bells and whistles of a resort. It's even more interesting to know that it can become a reality at a fraction of the cost, through owning a timeshare. I am a timeshare owner, not of the Geo Club, but I know how it works. Every time you sit at a presentation to either upgrade or simply learn something new, there is a big part of you wondering, AM I GOING TO GET SCAMMED or IS THIS PERSON TELLING ME THE TRUTH? It can be an emotionally roller coaster to decide what to do. I can truthfully and honestly say I was soooo close to signing the papers for GEO, but the room they showed me was bull c***! The more I came down to reality I thought to myself, do I really travel internationally? Is this really worth it for my needs?
So at the end of the day, it wasn't what I needed, but it was a great fantasy imaging all of the luxury and the FREE gifts and the DISCOUNTED show tickets in Vegas, ect. People will have a better experience with Timeshare Presentations as well as timeshare ownership if they just slow down the sales person and walk away. By walking away you have time to think do you really need it and does it bring value to your lifestyle.

All of yu posting an complaing about a timeshare scam. all you have to do is manipulate and trick and allow your stupid sales representative to throw you the pitch and if you want to retaliate just allow him to keep wasting his own time! is it really your time that you are wasting? No, he's the one that doesn't get paid, you don't lose any pay, he does, so when you feel like you're being pressured, to bad feel sorry for him not yourself at least you got something for free! I went today and my sales representative was Sharif you should've seen the way he spoke to me at the opening, he told me that he's not here to do anything else but make sales, and he's here to make money, if I'm not interested let him know right away! So immediately after I felt extremely disrespected by not even given a chance to tour the property I lost interest and began to find myself to manipulate him and began tricking him into thinking I was going to buy! Haha he was pissed and I walked out the door laughing with my hundred dollar Walmart gift card on Black Friday! Bwahaaaaaaa

We just signed up for the Holiday club in Las Vegas on 4/30/2013. We changed our mind and I mailed a certified letter stating that we wanted to cancel to the Seller address and Title company listed on purchase agreement. We are within our 5 days for cancellation. Does anyone have an update on their cancellation with Geoholiday.

It's a shame that this type of situations happens. Before signing your contract, assure you to read and understand all and each one of the points written in the contract. DO NOT sign your contract if you don’t find any of the verbal promises offered by the salesman. ASSURE you find all of them in written in your contract. We just attended their presentation last week in vegas at the jockey club. Got lured in by Blue Man Group Tickets plus a couple of other lower end vegas shows. We didn't buy anything and went in 100% knowing we would say no. They got a little pushy in the end when they started bringing in multiple representatives and lowering the price but our main salesperson was pleasant and funny. We were a little temped at the final offer of no time share but a 7 night stay at one of their resorts for $200 plus a $75 fee to be used in the next 18 months but still said no(after reading comments here I think that was a sound decisions) They then gave us our $20 back that the "body snatcher" on Fremont street made us pay him plus the Blue Man Group Tickets and some other show tickets. The blue man group tickets were legit 100% free and got great seats worth $115 each on the actual tickets which we had to exchange at the box office for the voucher they gave us. The other tickets though for Marc Savard we still had to pay a $10 box office fee for each ticket. They actually keep to their word about 90 minutes but with shuttle times and waiting in the lobby the whole thing took about 3 hours. Overall I'd say if you have some downtime in vegas it's worth the presentation for $230 worth of blue man group tickets but just go in there knowing you will say NO NO NO and a pleasant sorry f*** you NO where are my tickets! And if I do a timeshare presentation again I would check the gifts to make sure you can go when you want to maybe call the box office right there and then to check legitimacy. ours worked out fine but you never know.

Hi everyone! So we were sucked into GEO Holiday in Las Vegas 1 year ago and we are still trying to get out of it! They scammed and lied to us about everything! Has anyone worked with Timeshare Mortgage relief? http://www.timesharemortgagerelief.com/. They want a 3000$ fee for a lawyer to get us out of the contract.

Please help! How do we get out? We don't want it to mess up our good credit and we just stopped paying. We refuse to pay for soemthing we have never used and cant use without paying MORE money! I just dont understand how they can still be doing this to people! Hopefully we figure something out, I will update!

Has anyone been successful getting a deed back or deed of Luei?

Everyone should note that most people defending GEO are from Las Vegas. They are more than likely someone profiting from your demise. It's easy to belittle victims to "read the fine print" and to say no one had a gun to your head... blah, blah, blah. But deception is deception.

Keep your head up though. There is enough people complaining that it has the attention of the Nevada Attorney General's office. You will never see the money returned as companies like this are swift to abandon operation, but they will be out of business soon. They can not collect when they are in default. The scam will come to an end!

Place has fraud written all over it. They say that they will sell you a piece of the Jockey Club in Las Vegas but we all know that the Condos and Rooms belong the owners/HOA who actually own a Deed for a piece of real estate and not Personal Property as the agreements read. They are selling worthless time shares at you personally own thus Personal Property that is deeded but cannot be passed on to another or even transferred - you own it for life. How great is that? The place is run down and stuck in the middle of the Cosmo and Bellagio - so they are making you stay in the Bronx or Compton. Why would anyone buy? AAHHHH for the Free ###ing Gifts - that you have to pay for by the way and there are so many black outs it's not even worth it. You'll have to pay for everything...trips are a scam. Stay away from this Hell Hole...If you still have time - go back and ask for a refund...and pray to GOD that they will accept.

Geo Holiday is a the Scam of all Scams. I worked for them and I know it to be true. You cannot carry over or roll over your points. We also do not buy them back. Geo Holiday does not buy back Star Points' vacation shares. Star Points is an entirely different entity. It also takes thousands...up to 45, 000 points to book a trip and you still have to pay room fees, taxes, and booking fees.

I pray to god each day that I will not meet the people I have scammed over the years in hell. I used to work on Sundays at the Jockey Club but I am now going to church from now on to repent my sins. Jesus Christ please forgive me as I have sinned. I got a call last week from a couple from Alaska and they left a message at the office saying that God will rip out my tongue and chop it into little pieces so that he could feed it to the hounds of hell. I used to f*** customers over and over - but now I just don't know what to do. I want to be fired but need the commission. They also keep a portion of our commission if we leave just in case customers back out. So please don't back out; I have sinned and will be willing to trade lies money for your business, knowing that I will forever riot in hell.

Geo Holiday is a total scam! Do not give them your time or money! My wife and I purchased last year and have tried using it on 3 separate occasions and have been unable to book anything. We bought 15, 000 annual points and were told that if you book 45 days or less, that it would only cost 4, 950 points for a week. Well we tried that and were repeatedly told by their own booking department that you have to plan at least 1 year in advance! But they told us that resorts have last minute cancellations and they "never fill up". Nobody cancels their vacations, especially 45 days out! Geo employees always promise to call you back but never do. Our sales rep Dan gave us his email and told us "if you ever have any problems, shoot me an email and I will personally help you out" but he never responds. We do own two other timeshares in Vegas and are happy with them but since we sometimes make last minute plans, this program would have worked great. It doesn't work at all! We are looking for a way out if anyone has any suggestions please post.

I agree that GEO is very hard sell and they cop an attitude if you try to say no. We have been members for 4 years, never used any of our time and can only "bank" one year Now that is a rip off since we have paid for the time. Would I do this again? Nope ! Hawaii trip...never happened, expired before we could go as we had severe health problems. Everything has "fine print". Not impressed with Jockey Club, prefer Flamingo Bay if you really want to know. These guys are not worth the time

It started out as RSI (Resort Stay International) and end up being GEOHoliday Club? Went to presentation and listened to their B.S. last summer (2011) paid over the phone a few days later $99 for 2 ( we were told ) two night stays at the Cosmopolitan. Then December 2011 Sales rep calls and books our stay for May 2012. She sends a conformation email for 2 nights at the Jockey Club? Then first week of May ( about 2 weeks before we are going ) they email us to call and confirm our reservations. I call and now our stay is at a place blocks away from the Vegas Strip called Alexis park? I called back and cancelled. Don't waste your time or money like we did.

Need I say more by the past comments of this Place...GEOHoliday is a Las Vegas Vacation Scam! I went to a promised 90 minute presentation..but lasted 2 hrs and 50 minutes (not promised)..Killed 2 much time...Very High Pressured Selling Here only after you get past the First Sales Rep! They start with a Front End Sales rep, which probably do not even own a timeshare but is going to try to convince you to own one ( in 2 hrs) and then they go to a closer ( more experience Sales Rep) which we do all the closing, details and money with you! They call this customizing a package for your Needs.. I felt like this place was a Hustlers paradise from the Street OPCs to these Timeshare Reps and Finally the guys in the suits that think they are Top Real Estate people--they looked like Very good Car Sales Reps..anyways.. This place is a scam..The Free Gifts are not Free..their is a catch 22 with this! either your tickets is with down payment or your vouchers are at 3rd rate dumpy places..(I wouldn't even give this stuff away) Also, the Free Treats are not good..They don't even have cream for the coffee..just powder..Uggh..Second- problem- if you don't buy the timeshare at $25, 700----they have a Drop$10, 700.--Yes, Their is a Magic Drop! So, .Do not Bite at the First Offer!...Because, EveryTime you refuse their offer..They got a Better one..and A Better one..No doubt..C''mon after you guys (GeoHoliday) put some type of Value in your club you Devalue your club and package by a $15, 000 New OFFer...I just lost value! Yes, , Because, If I bought at the $25, 700 offer and the other people (customers/buyers) Bought at your $15, 7000 or $5, 000 packages..My Vacation Ownership is devalue or most likely overpriced..Just like Real Estate in Home market..Where are the COMPS! Man, If you go to Craigslist, Ebay or the many Timeshare website you can find Timeshares at $200, $800 and $1, 000 for sale. Some people can't give these away..So, if u do not argue with the sales rep...You are Sucker! You will pay $25, 700-Like they Say..A sucker is Born Everyday--So, out of a 1000 suckers that go through GeoHoliday doors for a timeshare presentation--a hundred will Buy..those are just the economical numbers for Suckers.------If you argue and haggle with these reps..u can get them down to $15, 000 or even at $5, 000...I did not bite..not worth it to me, because when I always travel (domestic/international)...I stay with friends..but that is my situation..They will tell you different! or what is best for you! Anyways, do your due dillegence!

OK, here's our story. We were in VEGAS last week, 8/1/11. The guy on the street said take the tour, it's 90 mins. You'll get 200 free slot play plus 2nights free at Jockey Club. we told him that we already own Disney Timeshare (17 yrs. very happy). Told him we absolutely did not want to buy. "That's ok just go get cooled off etc. they won't mind" We got stuck with Eric Brown. Told him right up front we won't be buying. He starts telling us that he used to be a stockbroker with Lexus', Rolex $$$ but they demanded too much of his time. So he bought into this program 4 yrs ago. His parents were psychologists to Jeffrey Dahmer He's telling us about the 8 or nine trips he's taken around the world, rented some weeks for 10k. . He never uses the RCI because there is no need to. Then he says that he just got back from Disney World but couldn't remember which resort. He's starting to insult us for not making "intelligent decision". It got so bad he wouldn't sit through the video with us. We get done eith the video and he's waiting for us. Takes us to a poster on the wall of several Disney Resorts and remembers that it was this one; Wilderness Lodge. If you've ever been there, you don't forget it. Plus the only way you can stay at Disney through his plan is through RCI. Now he's pissed telling us we wasted his time. He's at $44k for 20, 00 pts. His boss come over with more high pressure, now we're down to 23k, sorry no deal, He gets mad and gets up and walks away telling Eric "you didn't do your job" So now we're 2 1/4 hrs into their 90 min. presentation. We get our vouchers for $200 free slot play at Casino Royale, we get there and it's $200 alright but only at promo machines where you will either hit the jackpot or lose it all. You can't collect any winnings. I'm not even going to get into the issues with the property. All in all in my opinion Eric lied every time he opened his mouth. We have been to ther time share presentations but never anything like this. STAY AWAY!

Definitely a SCAM! Latest gimmick is that you HAVE to put down a $99 deposit JUST for them to send you the offer in an email to review. My wife fell for it and after only 2 DAYS; 48 hours, of waiting for their email, calling them back, etc, we just decided to call and demand our deposit back. That is when we were told we had to call a DIFFERENT dept. I talked to some VERY RUDE guy named CANDY and he said that we had exceeded our 72 hour review period, even tho it had only been less than 48 hours. So this SCAM is to take your deposit and then REFUSE to refund the money. I guess their terms are, "if you don't respond within 72 hours, then you forfeit your deposit." And the MAKE SURE they delay sending out the emails for you to review as LONG as POSSIBLE so you are beyond the review period.

I called back repeatedly and they just hung up on me without even saying hello. I finally reached a different person, who was the manager, and she said that they would refund our deposit, since she was able to do the math and realized we were withing the 72 hour timeframe. BUT, it would take 4-8 weeks to refund the money! 10 minutes to take it out of our account and 4-8 weeks to put it back. Amazing!

I think most of these complaints are too funny. Most are complaing about the gifts, not the timeshare. No one can twist your arm into attending. You wanted something for FREE, and then complain that it was not 100% what YOU expected it to be. WOW, these same people are the people that believe EVERYONE should get a trophy in sports, not the winners, but everyone. GROW UP! I love attending timeshare presentations! I would NEVER buy one, I just think they are a waste of $$ as me and my wife go on 3-4 mini trips a year due to our work. But we go on one at least once a year, and I know how to "get the stuff" I want from the guys on the streets. I never fall for the "gaming $$" or mini vacation, I read the fine print and see that it is a bunch of crap. I go for either cash or those prepaid visa's that Geo offers. I have been on 4-5 of their presentations, and as I said, it is not for me or my wife. However IF we did travel 2-3 weeks a year, then it might be. Sales people work on commission, and if they don't sell, they can't pay bills. Stop complaining about them, grow up and accept that YOU are the [censored] that went, expecting the world for free, and signed up to take the tour, and go online and complain that YOU were misled. It seems that the problem always has YOU in it, not them. If you did buy a timeshare, and it is not what you thought it would be again that is a YOU problem. Read the documnts before YOU sign them. Again never have I gone to a presentation and they held a gun to my head. I just know what to expect and I am fine with that. But please people GROW UP, stop complaining, it is a YOU problem, not a them problem!

I attended the Geo Resort sales pitch this week -- and as many of the blog posters have noted do feel like this was a complete waste of time and a total scam. We were promised free gifts to attend the session (which lasted 3 hours -- not the 90 minutes they promised). We did not join as were uncomfortable with the numbers, the slimey sales pitches and the lack of information they provided. Even though we did not sign up we did feel scammed by the free gifts. $200 in casino vouchers could only be used at one casino and on their special promotional machine (by the way -- you can get these vouchers for free at the casino!) a two-night stay in Vegas (by the way -- you need to pay a $99 refundable deposit before getting your pass. You get the $99 back on your trip after you sit through another time share demo!) and tickets to a show (which by the way have black-out dates and we were not able to use on our trip).

It's two days since we attended the demo and have already received 2 phone calls from Geo Resort trying to change our mind and offer a better deal for us to sign-up and become their "newest owners." I have told them that any company that uses high-pressure sales tactics and questionable practices to entice customers is not for us. After sharing this constructive feedback and sharing real examples of the lack of information and the questionable details they provided they became blatenly rude -- not exactly the company image they paint during their promotional video!

oh yes..and when I did read the back of the certificate it says you have to be 25, I had told the rep. that he was only21...we were suppose to get a cruise too I cant imagine the hooks on it..

On March the 25th we attended a GEO meeting at the Jockey Club In Las Vegas, supposely we would recieve 2 free night and 3 days, 200 in casino play we wound up purchasing a tiem share...long story short. We were told the free hotel nights were transferable to our daughter and her husand. They will be attending a Supercross in Las Vegas the first weekend in May, he is just returning next week from an eight month tour in Afganastan., He is a marine with the 3/5 Darkhorse battalion in Camp Pendelton. I called this week to book the hotel and was told..oh no, they must attend a 90 minute presentation to get the nights..YOU SHOULD HAVE READ THE PRINT ON THE BACK OF THE CERTIFICATE. OMGosh..seriously, you told me they were transferrable you did not give me AANY DETAILS.. you think this kid is going to want to sit thru 90 mintues or 3 hours ..he lost 27 friends his best friend died in his arms..and you people who before we ever signed anything, ask you if our kids could use the rooms and you said yes...today when I called the so called helpful person..told me that I answered your question, you ask me if it was transferrable and I said yes.. I told him he never said they had to meet any qualifacations..they could be 18 for all he knew..I want NOTHING TO DO WITH THIS COMPANY< if they misrepresent a couple of free nights in a hotel I cant even imagine what else ..

I had a great time last week on my birthday visiting the Jockey Club! I had never been to a timeshare presentation before, so I figured, why not? Free birthday dinner. I stocked up on the free snacks in the waiting room. Filled all my pockets. Went an talked to Dee. She seemed really pleasant. Watched the video and went on a tour. Then, we went back to the big conference room to talk numbers. I pulled out a pen and paper and started calculating dollars in present vs future value taking into account my average investment return over the last 5 years and Dee quickly pulled my paper away and started telling me not to think about numbers. "Do this for yourself and your girlfriend" she said. When I told her I wasn't convinced that it was a good value, she pulled out numbers of $100/night for hotels on average. $100? I've never spent $100 per night in my life! She then pulled over their "most successful broker" to give me better numbers. He went down to $5500 for the timeshare. I started calculating again and he tells me "calculations aren't required, think about the relaxation and how you're doing this for yourself". I stood up and yelled at him. "Listen jacka__, don't tell me not to think about numbers. I didn't become a f___kin millionaire by NOT thinking about numbers. All you guys are thinking about numbers. Your f__kin commission is a number isn't it?. You went from $21, 000 to $5000 for me. Now take off your commission from that $5000 and offer that same number to everyone here. If every couple in this room buys it, then I've just made your company enough money to give me a free timeshare. Those are the numbers I speak". The room errupted and I was quickly whisked off to speak to some non-commissioned guy on the other side of the room from "head office" who wanted to document my dissatisfaction. Went and got my voucher for 6 free nights at the jockey club, 4x $50 at that sword-restaurant at Planet Hollywood, $50 cash, $100 slot play for that casino next to Imperial Palace. All in all, I'd say between me and my girlfriend, we walked out "making" about $15/hour. The dollar value wasn't worth my time, but screwing up the last 2.5 hours they spent with everyone in that room was priceless

Well I am another dissatified person... My husband and I went to a 90 min persentation. It took 2 hrs and 35 min. We were told this was not high presure "ya right" after doing the math this $11, 500 was going to cost $43, 388 I have to tell you thats is alot of hotels... We had 4 sales people on us and then wanted to know why, after all the time they spent did we not buy. The answers we gave them were just not good enough after they final let us leave we went into a room to get our free gifts "ya right" the 4 free show tickets expired on 12/31/2010 todays date was 1/15/2011. Then we get the free airline tickets "ya right again" the free tickets were going to cost $134 a person only flying Mon-Thurs. and many many many block out dates. Okay now for the free Hawaii VA once again the free hotel cost $200 a person. and now for the $50 diner coupon that we were told we could use this at places like Outback Steakhouse and Red Lobster. Wrong again places like Burger King you buy $200 worth of food you receive $100 free. Well although we like BK we were not looking to bring our whole develpment there for diner... My advise don't waste your time..As they total lie about everything they tell you... I feel sure if we would have bought there would have been block out date for all the places we wanted to go.. I am sure there is good time share companies out there, but this is not one of them...

I had a similar experience at the Jockey Club in Las Vegas. The atmosphere is a deliberate attempt to keep prospective buyers on edge. Most of us were mature adults not interested in the loud hip-hop music being blasted from the speakers. The loud music discouraged conversation between salespeople and customers.

The real deciption is in the lack of information. 5, 000 credits for a week sounds great. When you get the GEO book and look in the back you find that the least number of points required is more than twice that amount. The salespeople are careful to prevent you from seeing this book prior to walking out the door after signing. The magic 45 days out is for all resorts and only applies to the getaways. As a result, you have a limited number of locations from which to choose. I guess that would work for those whose travel plans are extremely flexible.

We cancelled the next day (two weeks ago) and haven't received a credit yet. We were assured it would be only 3-4 days. Considering their sales practice, why would I believe that?

One other bit of misinformation is that the salespeople work for GEO Holiday. They do not. They are independent contractors who work 100% on commission.

again really do the math... if you are the Brady Bunch and want to take the kids on vacation then this MIGHT work out but you need to plan very very far in advance or go to places like ski resorts in the middle of summer... if you want to do grown up vacations and not go on tour with the trailer park crowd timeshares are NOT for you, if think you can pick up the phone and book a trip for next month - it's not gonna happen... and the jockey club... again GeoHoliday does not own ANY part of the place they buy foreclosure slots and resell them, if you walk up to the front desk and say your a Geoholiday member, you will be corrected that your NOT a member of the Jockey Club and you will have to contact Geoholiday ... even if you OWN your timeshare at the Jockey Club.

The five days and cancel.. thats great too bad it take over 30 days for Geoholiday to get you your paperwork and membership documents... and don't worry that they have not updated their catalog of places to go for over 2 years... the website is not much better most of the site is under construction, and it if filled with out of date information.

ah... the scam gifts - their are so many condition's you will NEVER get them and since the gift company is not Geoholiday but a 3rd party your [censor] out of luck with getting anything resolved.

Still wonder if it's a bad deal... consider Geoholiday is based in Canada they are NOT and American company. They are somehow affiliated with Starpoint resorts (they are basically a reseller). So Starpoint handles your HOA fee's and bills you collects your money, but your not their customer Geoholiday is. So you need to speak to them and of course their a 9-5 (eastern time) company in Canada without weekend hours - and sorry they can't help you anyway because they always will need to get back to you since they do not have all your information in Canada.

The financial end is a dinky loan company on par with pawn shops and payday lenders - they have no links to any bank nor are they even recognized as such buy financial software such as Quicken (last lists and connects to over 5000 banks and loan companies).

So understand you have 3 players here..

Geo Holiday - Canadian based, reseller of Starpoint Timeshares, Geo Holiday buys foreclosed Timeshares, hence when they sell them to you they appear as a clean title - I'm pretty sure they own NOTHING but rent offices and sell the hype.

Starpoint - your not their customer so deal with it

Equint - a small scale loan company, they are not affiliated to GeoHoliday so they can give a [censored] if your having problem with your situation they just want the payments for loan on the Timeshare -- you might own a timeshare but its worthless without Starpoint affiliation (your homeowner fee's)

I work for them. We do marketing in las vegas and for the most part these people are the least stressful timeshare people in all of vegas, if not north america.

we offer the gifts, you go and take a look at the building, and so you shouldnt complain that you were "forced" to buy anything.

The jockey club is about 500 meters/yards from las vegas boulevard, and guests may walk out at any time they choose, so this really isnt a high pressure pitch.

if you buy, nevada state law dictates you have FIVE BUSINESS DAYS to sign papers to back out and get all your money back.

I just came across these postings and was confused by the comments made. My wife and I have been geo holiday members for almost 5 years now and we could not be happier. We have saved 100's of dollars over the past few years on our vacations. i must admit that the process you go through to make the purchase is stressful but looking back we are glad we made the decision to join. The member services team at geo is always there to help and we find them friendly and courteous each time we call (as recent as last week!). In december we are taking the kids and the grandparents to Orlando. The fact all 8 of us can stay in a 2 bedroom condo together makes it all worthwhile. when we looked at what 3 hotel rooms would cost for 7 nights it was almost $3, 500! with geo it cost us around $550 with our annual fees. yes the fees typically go up each year but so does everything else in life!

i will be one of the first to say that this type of product is not for everyone. but for us it makes economical sense since we have a large family. the kids love the resorts and the facilities and in the end that's all that matters for us. I am sorry to hear that people are having these difficulties but wanted to add my 2 cents...i am a believer that there are always 2 sides to every story.

I found that if your really willing to go ball out and just dont pay them they will cave... tell them foreclose who cares... I did the math if you consider the cost to buy plus interest and the HOA plus the RCI subcription fee and the RCI trade free your looking at say 2000 bucks a week for your stay - figure you'll dump the whole thing in 7-10 years at most

if you put 200 a month into a vacation savings account you could go ANYWHERE ANYTIME and get a lot more value... overall I can't see timeshares working out, maybe if you need to drag the kids along but even then how asskicking of a place could you rent for 2400 a week... think about it...

BTW - the way geo works is they buy foreclosed timeshares for dirt and resell them, they actually own nothing
