Just received our renewal for six months. We have been with Geico since the 80's. The 15% credit for pademic was not there and we had a $60 increase in our bill. When I called I was told the increase was across the board due to increase in auto prices, increase in parts, and increase in medical cost. I was also told our bill went out before the 15% was listed. It would be done automatically. I think an increase in the middle of a pandemic is totally uncalled for and I also think the 15% credit is a fraud and misleading advertising. It's not 15% when you raise the rates before this applied. The company and I quote said, "As a part of Geico's ongoing efforts to assist customers during this unprecedented time we are announcing the Geico Giveback which provides a 15 % credit." You raise the cost and then do a credit. Something is wrong. By the way we are in our 70's. Both vehicles are 2017 with one having 3000 miles on it and the other with 30, 000+ miles. We have had no accidents and no tickets. I was told all the discounts we are eligible for had been applied.
I am disappointed in Geico. At one time we had 5 cars with 3 teenage drivers. Geico had always been good to us until now. This is sad and even more so in the middle of a pandemic.
