GC Services, I regretfully worked for this company and I would like to pass on some knowlege that maybe able to help debtors (as they are referred to by GC) First of all if they call you in regards to a debt you owe hang up and send them a cease and desist letter they will never be able to call again and if they do then you will be able to sue them for FDCPA violation, and record all communication with them. If you are in default on a student loan contact direct loans directly they will be able to assist you. Do not let these low lifes bully you. If you owe PHEAA loan and you live in PA GC Services cannot garnish your wages per PHEAA and if the collector threatens garnishment you can sue them, no collector can threaten action they cannot take it is a violation of Federal law. If you get a notice of garnishment send the client a small payment and that will stop it until you can contact William D Ford direct loans you can do this right on line. If you owe private loans there is nothing they can do they will break the law and threaten legal action they cannot take and when they do sue them. Most companies management leads by example like I said most companies, the department head for PHEAA Amy C. sits at her desk drunk and hung over daily her face is so red its pitiful. The department head of Salli Mae Rob S. is a coke fein and I don't mean the soda, he is so geeked half the time he can't even talk. These are the people running the place!! The employees are 10 times worse, so if these people call you do not allow them to talk down to you now you know what you are dealing with and never give them personal info like checking account info, you might as well give it to a crackhead on the corner. I worked in the Columbus office.
