Do not order from this company!
I ordered some Acers as a gift for my partner and we are not happy with the quality of the plants. All four plants have significant damage to the stems.These appear to be healed damage as opposed to damage in transport.
Given the damage and our experience of Acers we feel that this damage could be detrimental to future growth and possibly survival. However Gardening Express are not interested stating "When sending live plants through the post, there is always a risk of some minor damage or dryness. They are a lot hardier than they appear and I am pleased to advise that this should not negatively impact the overall health of the plants". For Acers we disagree with this statement.
We would take undamaged replacements but if we take up their guarantee of 14 day money back (which was not offered by Kit "the senior customer adviser") the items will be returned at our cost. Hopeless. There is nothing about them that suggests they are remotely interested in horticulture, plants or customer service.
