Frontier Airlines Warning: Stay Away from Frontier Airlines - Dishonest Practices and Poor Customer Service

Frontier Airlines is not a good choice for booking or making reservations. I had a bad experience with them recently and I am currently in a dispute with them. I ended up losing a few hundred dollars because I canceled within 24 hours. I was just trying to make some changes before I made the purchase, but they charged me anyway. It seems like they don't care about their customers at all.

To make matters worse, I found out that they charged me $145 in my checking account without my permission. I never gave them my checking account information, so I don't know how they got it. When I asked for a refund, they only gave me $.40 on the dollar. This is not fair at all and I would advise anyone to stay away from Frontier Airlines.

It's obvious that they are cheating 80% of their customers and they can't be honest and stay in business at the same time. I don't know how they are able to stay in business with such bad practices. I hope that other people will read this review and avoid making the same mistake that I did.

Frontier Airlines Wild pass

I'm currently a wild pass member with frontier airline. I been trying all day to book a ticket to go to San Juan Puerto Rico from Jacksonville Florida. The website let me pick the flight and everything related with the trip. Even that I have a wild pass in which I should be covered on the price of the ticket since I paid my wild pass membership for the summer (false advertisement) they are charging me 32 dollars for the tickets going to Puerto Rico and 131 dollars for the return ticket. Well at the end of the reservation while trying to pay for my bags, the 32 dollars and the 131 for the return ticket that they are charging for the flight the system won't let me pay. I tried for HOURS to complete the transaction. I decided to chat with costumer service online because they don't have a costumer number where you can talk to someone live, the person that I was chatting with told me that he couldn't help me because I had a wild pass, and he couldn't book me a ticket and told me to book it online later. an Hour and a half later I got on my account again to book the ticket and now the wild pass is not available even when I see that they have open seat. I can book one if I pay a full price but I couldn't use my wild pass. This is False advertising and I want my wild pass money back.

I agree also that the pass is a scam. I am out of $599 for the purchase of the Go Wild Pass. ALL of the flights I am interested in are UNAVAILABLE ! I am in the process of complaining and want a FULL REFUND !

Frontier Airlines Customer service, no phone number to call, no one responds to chat

I am trying to cancel a one seat reservation for 6/19/2023, Denver to Syracuse

Confirmation Code: KGKFWK for Clifford J. Sovocool. He suffered a stroke in February, his Dr. has grounded him from flying for 6-12 months. I have done everything I can to cancel this on the Frontier WEbsite, which stinks by the way and no one responds. They have my emal and phone number. HELP!

Frontier Airlines Flight change

On May 24th 2023 I was scheduled to fly out at Chicago Midway flight F9 3761 at 1:18 pm going to Atlanta to catch another flight to San Diego my designation. I was at the Midway Airport waiting and Frontier Airlines changed the time for the flight to 3:05 pm. I missed the plane I was scheduled to catch due to the F9 3761 was too late. I had to catch two more flights to reach my designation San Diego to visit my 97 year old father. I had traveled for 8 hours, didn't get to my hotel till 3;00 am. I was hungry and tired had to drive from San Diego to Escondido where my hotel room was. The other two flights were F9 2299 and F9 891.

Desired outcome: I would like some compensation for the all day flights, driving at night being so tired, and not being able to visit with my father a full day due to being so late coming to the hotel for sleep at 3;00 am.

My first complaint was on May 3rd 2023, I was scheduled to fly out of Chicago Midway Airport at 11:54 am to Las Vega to catch another plane from Las Vegas to San Diego my destination to visit my 97 yr old father Flight number F9 2115 and F9 2127, Frontier changed my flight schedule and I did not see the change until I arrived at the Airport on May 3rd at 9;00 am and Frontier attendant told me they had changed the flight. It would have been impossible for me to try to make the changed scheduled flight. I would have had to sleep in the Airport going there to San Diego and sleep again in the Airport coming home, I would come back a day later and missed work, my trip would have been cut short for my visiting my father to one day only. I couldn't do this change, so I am canceling my flight thru my credit card , disputing the charges, I also had to cancel my reservation with my hotel and car rental that I booked ahead, the worst part of this was having to tell my father I would not be coming to visit him, he cried. The following is the changed scheduled flight, Flying out of Midway May 3rd at 9:42 pm F9 881 arriving Denver 11:23 pm, sleeping at the airport due to flight changed for the next day, Thursday May 4th depart 10:57 am F9 553 from Denver arrived San Diego 12:23pm, returning flight, leaving San Diego F9 2126 Saturday May 6 arrive Las Vegas 9:14 pm, sleep at airport, leave Las Vegas Flight F9 2114 at 4;00pm arrive Midway Chicago 9:29 pm, Late for work! I should not have to pay for any of this flight change!

Frontier Airlines Refund

I received an email this evening 5/26/2023 and it stated that a time change was made on my families flight. It at first glance appeared to be an hour so I clicked on confirm. Later and with further review I noticed that the actual time change for a direct flight was over 8 hours. I attempted to go back into the original email to select cancel but the option wasn't available. so I canceled it via the Frontier website. I had no other choice as there website is impossible to navigate and there isn't a phone number that allows you to speak with another human being, how convenient. Now the same day in the evening I get a email that says the reservation is canceled and i'm hit with a hefty penalty and they applied the balance to flight credit. I believe and am requesting a full refund as was originally offered and the credit will go back to my credit card. My wife is wheelchair bound and this entire experience wasn't necessary if only one could correct a mistake by being able to talk to another human and not a system that sets up the customer for failure.

Desired outcome: Full Refund and applied to my card of purchase. I do not want any airline credit.

Frontier Airlines cancelled flight,charge for backpack on connecting flight and lost money on hotel that i did not stay in due to cancelled flight

My flight was cancelled on 1/8/23 and rescheduled for 1/9/23.I lost money on a hotel in Miami due to the cancellation .I had to travel from Midway to a hotel near o'hare airport for the night only to travel back to midway in morning of 1/9/23 to catch the rescheduled flight. I was charged on a connecting flight on frontier for my back pack that i had no problems with on the first flight .I would like a full refund for the roundtrip airfare paid, the back pack paid for, the hotel money lost in Miami as i have requested. I do not want a $100 voucher to travel . I really don't care to use your airlines again ,ever. Confirmation #BBUJTJ

Frontier Airlines Go wild summer pass

Frontier Airlines has a huge Billboard on Interstate Hwy 44 going West out of Springfield, MO. They Advertise Flights in and out of Springfield/Branson Airports. They also advertise Online for Flights in and Out of Branson. Nothing is further from the Truth. So I paid for Frontiers Go Wild Summer Pass, which started May 2 to September 30th of this year. This is for unlimited travel, with some black out dates. When I tried to book a Flight to Denver, I found out that Frontier does not fly to either Springfield or Branson. I also tried to book a Flight from St Louis, tried so many dates only to find out that everything was UNAVAILABLE. When I tried to contact Frontier Customer Service I was told that this GO WILD PASS was NON-Refundable. This is Robbery, They wont even give me a Complimentary Round Trip Flight. Don't Get Screwed Over By Them. They have FALSE ADVERTISING

Nous etions 3 et nos bagages dans l'avion (n° de vol 2878 et confirmation g9wtkc) nous n'avons pas eu d'autre choix que de prendre un vol sur une autre compagnie (jetblue) mais qui arrivait à jfk le 02/05/2023 nous avons demande la livraison de nos bagages à lhotel à nyc aucunes reponses a ce jour services clients contacter à de mutiples reprises se contente d'enregistrer les incidents mais aucunes reponses! Frontier Airlines Over charge for baggage

Recently my wife and me and 2 children out of Trenton airport to Orlando airport on April 13 2023. We had 4 pieces checked bags and 4 personal bags . I had fly with frontier airlines every year never had issue with checked bags this time which I had paid online they couldn’t find that so they charged $150 remark as over weight for 3 bags .I call the costmercare to figure out why I have to pay $150 when I had paid online for 4 bags they never call me back with their answer . I will never travel again with frontier airlines if they don’t resolve my issue . . I still gonna corporate office.

Desired outcome: I would like to get my refund back $150 dollars

Frontier Airlines The offer for 399.00 dollars that my wife purchased.

My wife in good faith purchased your flight deals from May 2023 until September 2023.

She had a flight booked from San José. Costa Rica to Atlanta. GA.

She got to the airport and because your representive Kevin Rogers did give her a six digit number, she had to purchase another ticket for 199.00. She had paid 49.99 when she booked the ticket plus another 75.00 for a retrun flight from Atl back to San Jose for May 11, 2023. Jana Irwin Strange. Flight # 214 return flight 215 for May 11. 2023.

My Question Way and is she going to have to pay forvher return flight.

Frontier Airlines Over charged

flight LAS to SFO flight # F9 2079 time 5:15 AM seat 6D

Overcharged for traveling with my emotional dog, I was charged $100.00 for her to travel on a carry, $100.00 for her bag, which only had a bottle of water a foldable container, her leash, and a small package of her food.

the attendant was rude and overused her power, she threatened me that if I did not pay for her bag, I would be paying more by being forced to take another flight, she was the only Spanish speaking at that gate.

Unfortunate experience, on my first time, using this airline and being treated as a second-class citizen

On the Internet, promotions sound like great promotions, but in the end, they come out paying more and having to deal with rude personal spoiling the great memories of your vacation. I would happily pay more to another airline where the personnel is very nice and respectful.

Desired outcome: I want a full refund of $200.00. For the $100.00 overcharged for her bag, and $100.00 for being miss treated by your attendant.

Will not recommend Frontier Airlines to nobody. Rude unprofessional personnel

try to get your money by charging even to print a boarding ticket ($25.00) for a piece of paper, you ask for water they will give you a bottle of water for a charge.

Frontier Airlines Cancellation and poor customer service

My daughter Maya Parks has been stranded at the Orlando airport since 5a on April 16th due to pilot not showing. She has been speaking with Rep Nico trying to get a resolution to this matter but unfortunately he has not been able to provide any assistance or accommodation for this inconvenience. When asked to speak with a Supervisor, another Rep Cierra had interjected into the conversation with such attitude stating that she would not provide the requested Director/Supervisor's contact information, she removed her name tag and made a comment of "[censored]ing [censored]" which she thought no one could hear that statement. My daughter has stated that she would be reporting this matter, which Cierra states "that she (my daughter) will not be flying". Now the flight has been cancelled and my daughter has no way of continuing her trip to Charlotte. This process with Frontier has been very stressful and the staff very unprofessional. Something should be done to assist my daughter and the other passengers who are now left with no answers and stranded. I need this matter to be looked into and resolved expeditiously.

Desired outcome: I think an apology should be made as well as a refund for the flight and checked bag, Most importantly, the company need to retrain the staff on how to provide quality customer service.

Frontier Airlines False charge on my American Express

I found a charge for $59.99 on March 15, 2023 on my American Express card. I cannot reach Frontier Airlines to file this complaint. They use a code for the alleged charge of RGPFWN__205. They allege this is for Miscellaneous Tax (S)/Fees(S)

I spent 1/2 hour on their website but they do not have a place to file such a request for a remedy.

I have no reservations on Frontier at this time, and no plans for travel on Frontier Airlines and I have not traveled with them in some months. Please advise. Thank you, Caren A Wilcox, Washington, DC

Desired outcome: I would like a credit for $59.99 on my American Express credit card as a remedy for this false charge.

Frontier Airlines Paid for extra room seat and frontier took it away and gave to someone else

On 04-05-23, I flew out of Denver to Sacramento on Frontier flight 627. Before the flight I paid for an extra room seat in row 3 seat F next to a window. When I arrived at DIA I was found out that the flight had been delayed from 11:44 to 1:18. The flight did not take off until 2 pm ! I tried to download by ticket on my phone but was not able to. I asked your staff at the counter, and they could not neither. Finally, a staff member was able to print my ticket which showed seat 3F. When I tried to board the plane, I was told that my ticket was not good because my seat had been given away and to talk to the person at the counter. The lady at the counter told me that my seat was given away to a family with children. I was never informed or notified of the change. I paid for the seat in advance, it is not my fault that the family could not seat together! I talked to male supervisor at the counter, and he issued me another ticket for seat 3A. When I tried to board the plane the person checking the ticket could not scan the ticket, he kept looking at the ticket, he finally said go on in. When I boarded the plane, I noticed three adults seating in row 3, seats D, E, and F.

I sat down in seat 3A and two ladies stood in the aisle and told me that they had seats 1 and 2 in row 3. Stewardess came and asked me for my ticket which I gave to him. The called someone and the lady at the counter boarded the plane and looked at me awkwardly and walked out of my view and talked to the male stewardess. The male stewardess talked to a female stewardess, and she came to me and told me that they were going to move me to another seat. I ended up being seated in row 27 at the back of the plane in an aisle seat which was NOT extra room like I had paid for! Shame on Frontier Airline !

Frontier Airlines lack of consideration by frotier flight attendents

March 19, 2023 -1 am flight from Las Vegas to Orlando.

Flight started with a 15 minute presentation by the crew about Frontier's credit card program. It was excessive and intrusive. Based on you company philosophy of charging for everything,I believe you owe me money for your advertisement. I paid to have you fly me to Orlando, not trap me in my non reclining seat to listen to your advertisement.

They also the lights were fully dimmed the cabin till near the end of the flight. It was the overnight flight we were trying to sleep. the upper tier and the secondary tier were on for most of the flight.

Also every 20 to 25 minutes the seat belt sign was either being turned on or off by announcement, waking me up each time.

The crew also kept up a feisty conversation going which had to disturbed the people closest, but was just an annoyance when I was woken by the announcement. I was about 5 rows from the crew area.

Desired outcome: I would like a response about the lack of courtesy, lights being o and $ 20 for my time listening to you credit card pitch.

Frontier Airlines Unhealthy conditions on flight

I was on the flight number 474 from Denver Colorado to Jacksonville Florida on April 3, 2023. Upon booking this flight I entered my information for wheel chair assistance being that I had a broken toe and was unable to walk. once arriving to my departure gate and boarding I told the flight attendant of my condition. Once we all boarded on the plane which was approximately 150-175 passengers, the plane was not cleaned, and several trash bags was being taken off. The plane still had trash on the floor under several seats as well as in some of the seats. There was only 1 restroom facility for the passengers to use the other 2 were not working on a flight that was over 3 hours long. The seats were very uncomfortable and even after the announcement was made which would allow any passenger who wanted to move could do so I expressed my concerns to move so that I could position my foot in order for it to be a little more comfortable and was ignored after several conversations with the flight attendant. The seats were very uncomfortable again and not to mention not being able to use the restroom because it appeared that the everyone was trying to go at the same time. I do realize that things happen but to have an issue with proper restroom facilities and a plane that had not been properly cleaned in something that is just unsanitary. Let's not forget we are still in the covid era and must all keep our locations as safe as possible to ensure the safety of others. There was no amenities on the plane no water no complementary nothing because the plane had not been properly restocked. This flight should have been sanitized and restocked before boarding making sure that each passenger in accommodated accordingly. My contact number is [protected]

Desired outcome: I would like to have at least a refund for checking my bag $80.00, or a refund for my flight.

Exceptionally long line to use KIOSK to SELF-PRINT BAGGAGE TAG. Exceptionally long line to use BAG DROP.

Oh, exceptionally long lines due to holiday. What holiday?

Spring break. Spring break is NOT a holiday. Spring break is a v-a-c-a-t-i-o-n.

By time BAG DROP was reached, Frontier Airlines Employee told me bag will not be accepted.

Needed to go to Additional Services to re-book flight.

Waited in Additional Services line which was UNMANNED station for first one hour or more of waiting in line for service to re-book.

After more than two hours, approached counter to re-book flight and was told flight will be in two days, 16 Mar 23, for add'l $99.

I did not miss flight.

Frontier Airlines kept me from reaching gate and boarding in timely manner by under-staffing Departures at MCO on this date.

Frontier Airlines employee (short bleach-blonde hair) treated all passengers, not only me, in arrogant and otherwise condescending manner.

I was very dissatisfied being asked to pay add'l money.

By this time, more than two hours passed from when original flight was to have left MCO.

Took photo of Frontier Airlines employee who treated me and other passengers badly.

2023 Mar 15:

Returned to MCO in attempt to acquire Frontier Airlines plane ticket from MCO to MSP to replace original purchased Frontier Airlines Ticket from MCO to MSP.

After waiting in line yet again at Frontier Airlines Ticket Counter, was greeted

by same arrogant condescending Frontier Airlines employee (short bleach-blonde hair) who now told me ticket to my final destination will be over $500 because I missed the two-hour re-booking window beyond when original flight left.

Not only missed original destination arrival time day before and shuttle service scheduled and paid for in advance, now am required to pay two times my original fare because two-hour window to have re-booked flight from day before has been missed? Did have foresight to turn on audio-recording app on phone so have proof all this transpired.

On recording, asked Frontier Airlines employee if more expensive ticket was all she would offer.

Frontier Airlines employee told me yes, that was all that could be done for me. Was told by yet another Frontier Airlines employee to 'Calm down!'. Wow. This woman...I have no words.

Told Frontier Airlines ticket agent that when she offered me $99 ticket price to re-book day before, at that moment was already beyond two-hour window to re-book because of Frontier Airlines' mishandling of my situation.

Missed connection shuttle from MSP to EAU.

Inconvenienced by having to return to MCO following day to re-book flight which wasn't allowed to re-book because of increased price of fare.

Inconvenience by being forced to stay in Orlando until finding affordable return flight to XXX using a different airline altogether.

Staying in Orlando longer, missed work and needed to use unpaid time-off because of not having more vacation time...which means lost quite a bit of money because of Frontier Airlines.

Frontier Airlines provided no care whatsoever to help in my situation.

Desired outcome: Told didn't plan well and I do not have a claim.WORD TO THE WISE: DO NOT FLY FRONTIER AIRLINES. EVER!

Frontier Airlines Cancelled flight and rude service

we were booked on flight JDPYMT from Orlando to Cleveland flight 1044 on 2/13/2023 and the flight got cancelled 3 hours before take off and the reason was "operational issues" this is the second time this flight has been cancelled on us. If you can't properly manage this late night flight why do you continue to book it?

As soon as this was cancelled every flight from Orlando to Cleveland on Tuesday 3/14 was marked as "no availability", so we get stuck paying for hotels for two more days before we could get on the 5:20 am flight on 3/15.

We are Discount Den members and also have the Frontier credit card and we get good flight rates from you but these two cancelled flights have cost me almost $1,000.00 due to your cancellations - hotels, rental cars, and expenses for essentials like food, drink etc. So we are in the process of deciding if we are going to continue using Frontier. Why book the flight if you can't provide it? It's getting to the point that we can't afford to fly Frontier because of these cancellations.

My second complaint is with one of the ladies at the gate this morning - I am in a service business and if one of our employees ever talked to one of my customers the way that lady talked to dozens of your customers I would have fired her immediately, I understand the need to check the carry on's so people don't abuse that and I want to make it clear I only had a computer bag with me so I didn't have any issues with it but that gate attendant was extremely rude to everyone! When one guy made a comment she snapped back like a spoiled brat and continued to argue with everyone - she even made me measure my computer bag which I had no problem doing but when she told me to measure it I laughed and she told me if I think it's funny she'll not allow me on the flight - talk about a pure power trip - she must have threatened to kick at least a half a dozen people off the flight for talking back to her when she was the rudest person in the airport! I assure you that if I hadn't already been delayed for two days by your cancellation and it wasn't 5:00 a.m. I would have stopped boarding and insisted on speaking with a supervisor but I had already missed a very important meeting and just wanted to get back home, but on the plane speaking with several other passengers I decided this needed to be addressed. I fly your airline at least 6-8 times per year with my wife to visit our granddaughter and have always been very, very happy with all of the counter personnel and flight crews - to be clear she was not the young lady checking the boarding passes she was a little older (40- 50) and a person that should not be dealing with the paying public!

Desired outcome: I think there should be compensation for the additional expenses incurred due to your cancellation. As far as that gate attendant she should either be re assigned to a job that doesn't have contact with people or terminated

Frontier Airlines Issues with boarding and staff

Hello, My name is Danny I am upset about how I was treated today by your flight attendants and staff. I had a scheduled flight today from Philadelphia and I boarded the plane once I boarded the plane I started to feel some abdominal pain and ended up throwing up. I told one of the flight attendants what happened and she kicked me off the plane. She did not give me any explanations just told me to get off (If she would off allowed me to explain to her that I had a big meal and probably it was something that I ate) the flight attendant was very rude and loud and made a very big scene and embarked me so much. I was very disappointed because I was not offered to be put on the next flight, I was told that I would have to go back to the counter in order to purchase another ticket and so I did purchase another ticket which was leaving in 30 minutes from when the ticket was purchased. At this point, I would like to talk to someone in charge because this is not something that is acceptable. Frontier Airlines Did not fullfill contract obligations

On 2/24/23 we missed a connecting flight from Orland to Phoenix due to the first flight Syracuse to Orlando being delayed 3.5 hours. When we arrived in Orlando we went to the Frontier Customer Service desk only to be told there was no flights, not compensation for a hotel and that we needed to wait for a supervisor. We waited 2 hours. The line then was over 300 people long. This was at 9pm at night. My husband and I where then told there was only 11 spots on on the flight 2/26 to Phoenix and that is when we could fly out on Frontier. My husband and I then made other arrangements with American Airlines to fly out the morning of 2/25. We paid $1859.82 for those flights. We hand no choice. We had a Virbo Rental and a car rental we had already paid for. Not to mention we were visiting our daughter which it had been over a year since we had seen her, We also had Uber cost for rides to the Hotel for over night accommodations that Frontier refused to pay for. $256. By the time we got to the hotel it was 1130pm. we had not eaten since 9am that morning. Frontier has refused to compensate us. They ONLY refunded $233.09 which is not a total we have on record for any purchase.

Desired outcome: I would like a full refund for the entire amount of money I am out for this trip delay. $4191.12 I have receipts but they are to big for this attachment
