Florida Peninsula Insurance

Had FP insurance for over 10 years. They were picky about certain things, almost like they were looking for an excuse to drop us. Had to replace electrical breaker box due to issues with the company that made it (which the electrician who replaced it stated was complete b.s.)
Wanted us to replace roof that was 7 years old (ONE shingle had slight damage due to extension cord pulling on a corner). Had to get the roof inspected to prove that their inspector (who didn't even bother to get onto the roof) was completely incompetence.
Hurricane Milton comes along, water leaking into living room in 2 spots. Got buckets out, when into attic to put buckets to stop more damage to ceiling.
FP denied our claim due to "no shingles missing and no hail damage". Then 3 months later, non-renewal letter unless we proved we fixed the damaged roof. When I asked about what damage (since they claimed there was no damage and dropped the claim), they stated repairs to leaking roof, cracks in driveway (where did this come from? Those cracks have been there for the whole time they were my insurance company and this is the first I had heard it was an issue...and the cracks are not getting bigger, the issue was from a neighbor's tree which was taken care of before they were insurance provider)

Looking for another insurance company now, but they all seem to do the same thing.

Florida Peninsula doesn't want to renew my home insurances just because they are reducing exposure to hurricane in Florida or because they are managing their risk. Do you really want to have business with this insurance company? Think about it!

I haven't filed not one claim with these people and been with them for 6 years. They issued a Non-Renewal Notice on my homeowners policy and sent out letter stating due to my Agent was no longer writing for them. I contacted another Agent that was still writing for them and sent in a signed Letter Of Agent Change and they denied it and said it was because I was issued a Non-Renewal Notice. This makes no sense to me at all. Very dissatisfied with this Company and all of the lies. Also talking with another Agent found out they had me way over insured and I've been paying high premiums for nothing because sure wouldn't have got what they had value on my home as. Our premium went up every year as they increased the value of home.
