I recently paid off the entire balance of my child support that was in the rears. The Department of Revenue was charging a huge credit card processing fee on the $ 14,000 payment so I had to mail in a check. While the check was in mailing, they pulled the payment which was garnished through my paycheck resulting in an overpayment. I have reached out multiple times regarding a refund of the overage and they respond by telling me there is not an overage. I am 1000% sure that they received more money than the balance due was given I sent a check to pay the balance off in full. When I contact them, I get a generic answer saying they don't see and overage, but the administrator will eventually review it upon closing of the case. I know if I owed them money, they would garnish my wages and take my tax return. Dealing with The Florida Department of Revenue is horrible, they are never helpful and don't even bother attempting to help you.
Claimed loss: 216.00
Desired outcome: I would like the overage to be refunded to me, I just paid $14,000. They have taken more than I owed.
